[Kamikaze]

Finding the best posts on this forum can sometimes be like finding a needle in a haystack.

There have been a few attempts at streamlining the process of finding the gold, one with LouieG’s cool-ass list of posts with 50+ likes at the time, and Tuthmosis' crowd-sourcing attempt.

One way I do it is looking through the rep page of a specific user, and checking out any links people have posted. This is a good way to find hidden gems that escape the sieve of a lot of likes. For example, that’s how I found a few of the links in my signature.

But that’s kind of slow. So inspired by LouieG’s and Tuthmosis’s threads, and holiday-induced boredom, I set out to speed up the rep-page process by scraping all links found on rep pages for a specific user. Essentially I just searched individual rep pages for any lines that had “.com/” in them, and made a list.

“Kamikaze, this method is not foolproof and relies on “game recognizing game,” so to speak. Many posts will slip through the programmatic cracks.” You’re 100% right. Knowing this, here’s my recommendation: if you find that a particular post should be read by your fellow RVFers, include the link in your rep report. Even if you have no game and are a hopelessly boring motherfucker, at least you can positively contribute that way.

Really cool. I wish there was a way to search posts with "X" or more number of likes. I think Roosh mentioned once that the like system is basically built on top of the forum software, though, (as opposed to being integrated into it natively) which makes it very difficult to implement a feature like that.

Those are some great links, that thread escaped my sleuthing. Tackling an intro to common "red pill" themes is way harder than just finding the gold within the forum, for sure. Not to mention guys like Roosh and other guys who write great stuff on their blogs.

There is a roundabout way, which is what LouieG used to compile posts with 50+ likes.

You can automate the search by writing a script to use Google, but it will blacklist your IP address unless you space out your requests for a while, which defeats the purpose. I tested Google's patience and got suspended for a few hours

But there is a way to search for all posts simultaneously without using Google. I was going to include this method in the 'archive,' but realized that although likes are a useful measure, they're often not as 'trustworthy' as rep points. Basically, a lot of funny posts float to the top of "Like" lists. It seems wisdom is generally more drawn to the rep pages than massive "Like" numbers.

Anyway, here's a nice way to do it.

1. Copy the following links. This is the 'complicated' part... generating these search terms. If you'd like a specific user, or just a generic list that searches "The following x users Like" site:rooshvforum.network, I can provide that as well.

2. Open URL Opener, which opens multiple tabs from a list of links you provide.

3. Paste the links into their box.

4. Sometimes the search engine will be overwhelmed by so many simultaneous searches. When you open the tab, refresh the page (ctrl-R, cmd-R for mac fags).

You can take this method further and scrape the links from the search results into a list, but for me it's not worth it... especially when adding a 'likes' column next to each post in a user's page and sorting according to likes, as we can do with views and replies, would be so simple. Oh well.

One guy that hasn't been mentioned yet he was dropping gold like it was going out of style has been Hooligan Harry. He hasn't lposted in a while but his posts have been among THE most red pill in all of these forums! I'm on my phone so can't really do a search now but give it a go and look up his post history. This guy is a legend!

Another guy that always drops amazing golden nuggets all the time is Scorpion. We could easily have an entire sub forum just on his golden nuggets of wisdom!

However, among all the awesome posts/threads in the history of the RVF, no thread can come close let alone match the legendary thread started by my good friend Scotian on the 6 figures in 6 months in the Canadian Oil Fields. That thread has been changing more lives than any and all other threads combined in here!

The single greatest and most influential thread to date in the history of the RVF hands down!
