Thanks G. Unfortunately like California, Colorado has strict smoking laws indoors, though there is a law here that if a certain percentage of your business comes from tobacco products, you are able to smoke indoors, which is virtually nowhere. I remember a couple years back, where I lived they made a law where you can't even smoke OUTSIDE! Crazy! But it was never enforced. But hey, at least you can smoke weed.

Keep in mind my fashion sense sucks, I just want to see if someone else agrees with me on this.

The black tie blends in to the shirt too much. I would change it to white and change the pocket square to a pink/light blue that matches your lighter shirt colors.

Overall, looks good. I like the color combination and the patterned shirt with the solid pants and jacket.

Don't like the tie with that outfit though- it just doesn't go well

Also don't like the square fold of the pocket square -it's too formal and conservative and clashes with the casual sporty look. Also , while the plain white color isn't bad really, i personally would have pushed the envelope with some color i.e.:

I think the belt is fine. I have a shitload of belts; they are one of my main ways to peacock. Large or interesting buckles will draw girls eyes to your crotch.

I don't think your fashion sense sucks at all- I just agreed with you without seeing your post

Except for the white tie thing-only mafia types and guys in top hats and tail coats should wear white ties lol

Thanks for the input. What would you recommend for a tie? I was also thinking maybe just a solid purple or solid purple bow tie. I typically don't wear THAT skinny of ties but it was the only one I had that I thought would match with the outfit. I also don't wear fat ties either. I keep it pretty much between 2-3 inches, and 3 is pushing it.

As far as the pocket square, I agree. At the moment the plain white one is the only one I have. I'm about to purchase a pocket square set tonight online. As far as the fold, I have to research a little and step up my folding game. Sometimes I rock the 4 point type fold like this...

Intl, that suit is terrible in so many ways.

The belt is for jeans.

Lumberjack pattern shirt could work if the jacket and pants were the same color and material. /the tie is an obvious after thought.

You're overdressed for where you're at. If you're going to do it do it right

Jacket aside the rest of your clothes did not support a pocket square. You were over jacketed for the rest of your clothes.

Unbutton on top if you're going to wear that tie loose. It would look better if you started like that.

The shirt and jacket are so close in color those pants are DOA and will never make it

El Mech, considering you don't wear suits and those who do have complimented mine for the most part, that comment is taken with a grain of salt. The comment isn't intended to be snooty. Just like I wouldn't ask G how to fix a car since he's not a mechanic, I wouldn't ask your opinion on suits since you don't wear them.

I'm from the gold coast and know what looks right and wrong. We invented this kind of style you're trying to pull off there.

I started wearing light clothes in Florida and struggled with it for years.

Without stirring the shit, I totally agree with Mechanico, on every point. And by the way, the guy is maybe a mechanic, but seriously, he has also a good fashion sense and a sharp eye when it come to styles and looks. Kudos (seriously). I'd add "try-hard" to the first thoughts that come to mind.

I am admittedly not as elegant as the "suit crew" here, so what I say will be taken with a grain of salt, but if this is what means "not being dressed like an old man", I guess that I'll stick to my own style (wink).

Sorry, but when you ask a question on a public forum (didn't you ask for "thoughts" ?), expect ALSO some answers that will maybe not be compliments or flattery.

@IP- Heres my thoughts. Disclaimers- I am still rather new to this stuff as well.

- Lose the tie (especially for summer-time)
- Don't like the white square. Id rather get a baby blue or a red with pink edges. Or maybe a small pattern square. Younger guys = show some color/pizzaz. Any store will have a handkerchief selection. Nordstrom Rack, Macys, or Marshalls, Ross, etc etc.
- Id go for a puff, rolled puff, reverse puff or something casual of the sort. Straight fold looks boring to me.
- Different belt for sure. I like slidebelt (micro-adjustable belt). No holes = clean look.
-White pants are usually a tough sell, but I think you make it work

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

Thanks for the thoughts. I agree with you on every point but the tie. I do agree with El Mech though that maybe I should have undone the top button (So maybe your comment wasn't 100% looked past El Mech). I tried it with and without the tie and thought it looked better with the tie. Like I said above, the white square is the only one I have at the moment. I just ordered a whole set of new squares, 25 total, should be arriving next week. By the way, it's a killer deal. I saw someone else post this on one of the other suit threads... http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-WHOLESALE-LO...65273269b. 25 squares for under $20, you can't beat that. I think a pink or red square would look good with this suit. The belt can definitely go, but I've been broke for the last couple months so I was working with what I had. Too much traveling not enough working. I went to the mall today to cop another belt but everything was closing (At 7 o clock too, wtf?). That belt you posted looks pretty cool.

I'm fine with the criticism, that's why I asked and I actually admire the constructive criticism. That has nothing to do with the "trying too hard" comment.

Well, I'm not a native english speaker, so I maybe don't really know the meaning of that adjective but that was the very first thing that came to my mind, sorry (and also I didn't want to quibble about details). That said, after checking the real sense on google, I reiterate.

"1) will try very hard to be good at something or fit in and eventually fails."

About the details, once more Mechanico was IMO spot on on every point, so it would have been stupid to repeat them.

Noted, and I've seen your style and the two of us have different interpretations of what we think looks good. That's fine. It only makes sense to dully note those contributing who don't wear suits. It would be like me telling you how to dance ballet. I have no fucking idea of what I'm talking about regarding ballet, so why the hell would you listen to me about it?

Hmm. That is a lie by omission. I have posted A LOT about suits in this thread, notably about fabrication quality (fused vs canvassed, a matter which is IMO more interesting than the mere fact of wearing a light blue or a pink blazer, but in this regard, as usual to each its own), and I maybe have more suits in my wardrobe that you have of pairs of socks. But let's leave it here. As I said, there is obviously an abyssal fossa between USA and Europe when it comes to looks and fashion.

I just went and had a peak over there. It seems a good chunk of the members are members that were banned from here. One of the forum rules is even "No Roosh hate threads" [Image: lol.gif] Dash Globals posts make up almost 9% of the forum. It could be nothing less than pure comedy. I thought this one was pretty good http://www.naughtynomad.com/forum/showth...ght=roosh. Since when has dash "Dropped gems?" And does this mean that Dash is secretly posting under different user names? I don't think so, he's a special kind of moron, I think we'd be able to call him out.

Here's one of dash's gems....

Random poster:
"I am thinking 12 girls in 4 days is more than doable."

Other random poster:
"Seems unrealistic. I'll happily bet you that you do not smash that many girls in 4 days. I bet you don't fuck more than 4 max."

Dash:
"Have you been to the Philippines? Most everything I am reading and what people are telling me that have been is that 2 girls a day is easy.

If I only fuck 4 girls in Manila in 4 days ill go jump off the nearest bridge.

I am confident I could get 4 bangs in 1 day off internet game alone."

Dash calling people out for dropping data without ever visiting a place (Which its pretty obvious that banging 4 girls in a day would be hard to do anywhere in the world, I don't care where you are), oh the irony.

Really??? Looks like this is thread devolving into a NYC (USA) versus Paris fashion discussion... Hmmm last I checked NYC was the style and fashion capitol of the world due in large part to the amount of Capital in NYC. In my world fashion read clothing has 3 purposes - 1. keep me dressed comfortably 2. to get me MORE money 3. to get me More Action with the quality of world class female(s) I prefer.

Some like Style Fashion others prefer Power Style.

I agree there is quite a difference in taste between Parisians/Berliners/Londoners and New Yorkers. Even the way that New Yorkers interpret and wear the same labels is different.

On another note, I watched the film Shame last night. Michael Fassbender's wardrobe was excellent. Probably the best styling I can recall seeing in a film.

No one is doubting your suit game, but perhaps you can tone down the "bragging". You are a good addition to this forum and I would hate to see you get banned over a petty argument.

Agreed.

It has been informative, funny and the people trying to derail the thread got smacked around really hard.

Yeah, I would say that is a great thread in my book.
