Wow, how did I miss this clusterfuck of a thread? Not to hurt feelings, but that is some of the gayest suits known to man. Hey but whatever for you guys.
I just completed a cross country trip, blazered up. During the last two days, it was murder when I stepped out of the terminal. I finally had to pack when landing in the ATL. Fucking hot. I love suits and blazers, but weather/venue limit their usefulness.
I don't think emech will even wear a suit to his funeral.

El Mech, considering you don't wear suits and those who do have complimented mine for the most part, that comment is taken with a grain of salt. The comment isn't intended to be snooty. Just like I wouldn't ask G how to fix a car since he's not a mechanic, I wouldn't ask your opinion on suits since you don't wear them.
I'm from the gold coast and know what looks right and wrong. We invented this kind of style you're trying to pull off there.
I started wearing light clothes in Florida and struggled with it for years.
I agree with emech. Personally I like lighter blazers with darker jeans. Don't be afraid to push the envelope. I wear boots regardless, with lots of bling, shirts tucked to show off a loud ass obnoxious belt. Or shirt untucked for a more casual look. Fuck ties.
I wear what most dudes would be afraid to. But every airport I went through, someone wanted an autograph, or asked if I was a celebrity, including an actor yesterday. But when you push it, you gotta have the swag to back it up, like rolling through with aviators.
Non-conformity is the key. Look like every other dude will not get you laid.

I think the grey jacket needs to be taken in more around the middle. It seems boxy yet.

Yes, and the pants are just a bit too long. Good style though, perfect ratio of shirt sleeve to jacket sleeve. Looking sharp!

I like it. The check jacket is a good look.
The cream/tan suit (I am a bit colour blind forgive me) could use a bit of work.
- Pull in the mid section. If the arm holes are high enough, pull it in until the lapels start to 'crease'. For a tall slim guy you want to show off your form.
- Pants could get taken up a bit. I go for 1/4 break, but to each their own.
- Throw some more contrast into the packet square (cream suit).
- Brown shoes. With both outfits. Loafers with the cream suit, some good brogues with the check jacket and throw in some coloured laces. Dope.

the pants
Suit pants MUST be cuffed nowadays if you want to have a trendy look. Cuffs have made a powerful comeback since about two years (if you look per exemple the
Zegna lookbook of the spring/summer 2013 collection, you'll notice that maybe 75% of their suits come with cuffed trousers - the ones who don't are those made with the more austere textiles i.e for men who want a more "classic" look), and it will be even more obvious this winter.
How none of our "sharp dressed" specialists has never mentionned that is beyond me. Just sayin'.

@Cap7- I am still relatively new to fashion stuff, but here goes
- My favorite outfit by far is the grey check suit. Positives- top button open, good cut/outline on suit, nice puff square, nice contrast on square.
- Can't really see the gray suit. Flash blurs out the contrast
- Tan suit just looks off. Too boxy around the midsection. For vegas heat, the tie is overkill. Theres little pop to the outfit. A neon blue, blood red, floral, or some louder pattern square would be better. Straight fold square is too boring. I would do a reverse-puff, puff or some spiraly-looking fold.
Try the extra-slim cut suits...

2. Your watch should NOT be hidden, especially if you're rocking a Rolex. Girls notice watches like a mofo.
While hi-end watchmakers advertises this look it is actually a fashion faux pax. The loose fitting watch is the emblem of people who prefer flaunting over style. Especially if you're wearing cuff links since you would distract from them.
I will admit though that most girls wouldn't know these finer points of style if it hit them in the face so the flaunting may work just as well.
I can't have sex with your personality, and I can't put my penis in your college degree, and I can't shove my fist in your childhood dreams, so why are you sharing all this information with me?

DiCaprio the Cary Grant of our times - with an edge - notice the Theme Dark Power Suit plain collared white shirt - custom high quality of course, then Darker sport coat, last but not least dark gray V neck with fully fashioned Italian sleeves.
Power, Power and more Power - upscale women always gravitate towards a powerful look - Jack Nicholson two piece black suit white custom power collared shirt with high end black shoes.
Or the weekend Yacht owner look, White high quality or striped Button Down collared shirt, long khakis or cargo shorts depending if it is over 80F and no sox Captains grade boat deck shoes with the waterproof non skid soles - plain simple elegant understated and powerful - otherwise when you try too hard it shows.
Try the DiCaprio power look versus the fashionista designer look and notice the difference in IOI quality and class you draw out in the females young and older (cougars) - especially in the higher end venues and then report back the results...

DiCaprio is not the Cary Grant of our time, Grant was one of the best dressed men ever.
Leo's look was probably put together by some stylist, usually he dresses like a bum when he is not working.

OUCH
MHaes that hurts my eyes man. Unless you're hosting a kegger on the 4th of July that needs not be worn. I'm not a fan of wife beaters to begin with, but oh dear god.

Haha, I can definitely see where you are coming from but I get compliments on it all the time. Wouldn't wear it if I got ignored cause of it.
