curezone.com > forum > liver flush. Good place to start, but I don't see liver flushes as a cure-all, nor would I recommend doing a ton of them at one time. But a lot of good ideas on this forum.
The Paleo diet helped me the most (along with not drinking alcohol).
Go to bed at a decent hour helps too.

Other than worrying about the amount of alcohol in a night you should worry on how fast you drink it, a small glass of vodka if you drink slowly won't cause any damage that won't heal by itself, but if you drink it all at once you are probably causing a non reversible damage. Also, even if you drink slowly, give it at least a week to heal after a drunk weekend.

The liver is one of the most regenerative organs in the body. However, it can get damaged to the point where it can't fully heal.
I have a weakened liver. I certainly don't intend to take any risks by drinking much. Plus, I get a bad reaction from alcohol which is my bodies way of warning me.
I think sustained heavy drinking on a weekly or nightly basis leads to liver damage over many years. Some people will take many many years to have damage. It depends on genetics. I am not an expert, but I don't think that its true that drinking a shitload one night causes irreversible liver damage. The liver is extremely hardy, unless you are talking heavy poisons like chugging drain-o. I damaged my liver partially due to being on a raw vegan diet. Too many nuts, avocados, and not enough good protein was the cause of my problems.

If you are not used to it, then a whole bottle at one time would kill you, yes. I had an old friend who would sometimes drink a liter a day of vodka, maybe more even. He did die. But he drunk that for years. It depends on genetics and, yes, I agree it is cumulative. The liver can repair itself very well from short term damage. The problem with chirrosis is that there is scarring. Its like a scar on your skin. Normally the skin would repair like new. But a scar prevents that.

I'm not terribly worried about liver damage.
Not sure if I wrote in this thread yet, but you can drastically cut down (or eliminate altogether) any and all detractors of alcohol by just having 3 to 4 consecutive days of no drinking per week, no more than 2 consecutive days of drinking per week (so stay sober Monday through Friday - get hammered Friday and have a few drinks Saturday night, sober up Sunday) and then simply exercise a little harder during the week.

I was found to have an abnormal liver function years ago when i was drinking and partying hard, during a routine blood test.
its the only time my doc has ever called me regarding blood test results.
The good news is a liver can regenerate itself, its the only organ that does this kind of repair if you change your ways in time, so that is what I did. The short of the long was I had to cut the hard boozing, popping pills and snorting everything under the sun. While I was at it I started to eat much better as well and actually sleep on weekends which was long over due.
After about 4-5 months I had another blood test and my liver function was back to normal. It gave me a real fright at the time and was a long over due wake up call after 10-15 years of hard partying.
Note: if you wake up in the mornings after nights out with lower back pain, its a danger sign
