A general question. I know dinner dates are lame but I've got to eat, during this holiday I'm averaging 2 meals on a good day so all excuses aside how do people feel about paying for a girls meals IN THAILAND.

I figured these girls make about 30,000 - 60,000 baht a month, if I wanted to eat at a place with air con it's gonna severely damage her budget. I'm probably over thinking this but it's just Game rules never buy a girl stuff they have not earned coz it does nothing for attraction (most of the time)but the fact is I can afford this, I don't need drama how we should split the bill.

Or am I looking at this all wrong?

You are over thinking this! In countries like Thailand you pay for the girls meal. You are not in Australia anymore. Also when did dinner dates become lame?!

I'm assuming these are Thai girls. Stop using western girl logic/game with Thai girls. It's not the same. Paying for a dinner date is no big deal in Thailand. They won't view it as being overly compliant. Most decent girls will actually volunteer to pay their own way unprompted. Even if they do offer just pick it up the first time anyways. If you see her many times after then you can let her pick it up sometimes or pay for other stuff during your excursions. If they try to abuse this in some way..such as trying to buy shit on your tab or spending loads on food then cut them off forever.

A Thai girl I dated for a year paid for everything and picked me up at the MRT in her car. She would also pay for a lot of stuff but I would pick up the food tab.

Also, you don't have to neg or do any of that other shit to mess with a Thai girl's mind like you would have to with a western girl.

If this is a western girl you are dating then yeah..full western game mode. Don't pay for shit unless you get something in return.

Vicious - I'm not sure why, but it just urks me to be taken advantage of. For example being charged 700 baht on a 300 baht taxi ride, its just $10 cheap for aussie standards but I just rage a bit inside, to point I'd rather walk than pay.

I know a girl who just graduated with her MBA from an international university, has near fluent English, and her starting salary is 25k.

Most young Thai girls you meet will make less than 15k per month. Office girls make roughly 12k here in BKK. My friends ex was a low level bank manager, I believe of the tellers, with fluent English, and made 14k. Another girl I know is a loan officer and makes 25k per month after her commissions clear.

Only rich Thai girls get designer bags. My girlfriend has a dozen. She also makes 100k a month......because she "works" for her dad. Most Thai girls you meet with Chanel bags probably have the same deal going on. That, or they have a rich boyfriend/husband.

Most middle class Thais eat out at Thai restaurants, so they only spend a few hundred baht on a good night out with friends, including a bottle of whiskey. The girls you meet in Thonglor mostly all get the cash from their parents.

Some Thai girls have their own shops, Instagram businesses selling shit, etc. and make decent cash, but "decent cash" would be in that 20-60k range.

Thai people also spend way less than foreigners on rent. If you live away from the BTS/MRT you can get a decent place for 4-8k. So if a girl brings in 30k per month, has a place that costs 5k per month in Lad Phrao, probably shares it with her friend so only 2.5k each per month, she can definitely afford to go to RCA and eat decent dinners a few times a month. Split a bottle between 5 girls at RCA and it's ~300-400 baht each for the night.

That, or they bring a long someones boyfriend/husband/cowoker and he has to foot the bill. The oldest male is generally supposed to pick up the tab, otherwise he loses face if he can't afford it. That's part of the reason Thai girls will try to bring a long a car full of friends on a first date without telling you. You are expected to pay for all fo them.

When Thai girls do this sort of shit what i'd do is excuse myself to go to the bathroom and come back and tell them I have to leave because of ___X___ emergency. Then delete their contact info/block them and never talk with them again.

Filipinas do this sort of thing too.

Thankfully it's pretty rare for me. Only happened a couple times after dozens of dates.

Why in the world are you even riding in a taxi that refuses to use the meter? It's standard for them to turn it on. If they don't then you are supposed to get out and flag another one down. That takes a few minutes to do most of the time. There are literally dozens of taxis passing by any given location at any time in Bangkok.

To be honest you sound like the most naive non streetwise traveler ever.
