Wow you are really skinny

Hi Scorpion, you make some strong arguments, but do you truly believe skinniness is a bad as you say it is? A skinny guy with a good face, a good dress sense, and with features such as an adonis belt and maybe even abs showing will be popular with girls, especially younger girls. Throw in tats and piercings and you've got that rocker/junkie look that chicks go crazy for.

Skinny kids with swag and facial aesthetics seems to be what younger girls go for and all that they have available to them before boys grow up and hit the gym. Seems the preference for the toned muscular look comes out well into a girl's 20s and a preference for the "beefy" look (muscle plus fat) at the cougar stage.

I'm sure skinny guys can figure out some combination of fashion, accessorizing and niche targeting that would give them decent results. The point I'm making is that a muscular guy doesn't have to bother with any of that, and can still get better results.

I can walk outside in flip flops, ratty old shorts and a plain white T-shirt and get more IOIs from women than a skinny guy who spent $500 and 5 hours putting together some perfect outfit to maximize his look. I can also AMOG a skinny guy by doing nothing. Literally just standing next to him I am AMOGing him. He knows, I know it and any women standing around know it, even though nothing is said about it.

"Skinny guys with swag", like a Justin Bieber type look or a rocker look are ultimately just clowns. They can certainly pull if they get into the right niche or scene, but that look has limited crossover appeal. It also gets zero respect from other men, meaning that even if you start to pull quality you will face brutal AMOGing because other men will not hesitate to disrespect you to your face and right in front of the girl.

Ultimately, women want a man. Being muscular is a highly masculine trait, while being skinny is feminine or boyish. Every social consequence of having muscle flows from this simple understanding. By putting on muscle you are simply masculinizing your appearance to a high degree, which results in greater respect from men and greater attraction from feminine women (who are most attracted to highly masculine men).

I think scorpion is right. I'm 5' 11" and about 165 lbs. I had to bust my ass last year to fuck 64 girls. I wonder if being more muscular would have made it any easier to pull. I compensate by wearing a tough looking jacket.

soup, I think you've said that you're a musician and game a lot of hipster girls, so your look might be optimized for that niche. Putting on more muscle would certainly expand your options, though.

If you are banging 64 girls a year already though I don't think you really need to change anything up, unless you feel like you're having issues with quality.

You have to be who you want to be and enjoy the women that come with whatever lifestyle that is. I mentioned in another thread, all body types can and do pull. Tall/short, muscular/skinny/fat. Every guy can pull.

Now if you're not satisfied with either the quantity or the quality of the women you find yourself with, then that's another story. Then you need to look at what you can do on your end to improve your situation. One thing obviously getting into better shape.

I get told I'm skinny by most girls, and the ones who don't say so think it. And I am, I look skinny as shit in photos, in the arms and shoulders etc.

I'd say it is the number 1 thing that has hurt my ability to get girls, and has been number 1 on my 'fix list' since forever. It also greatly affects general social respect, especially in countries like Australia.

Had a pretty good crack at it last year, almost crossed the line from skinny to muscular before being torn down by work problems. Gymning hard is the easy part. 3 days a week lifting to total failure was no problem. The constant battle to get the necessary food into my stomache was the brutal bit.

If there were drugs I could take without unacceptable side effects I would take them, but alas there is no drug that turns you into a ravenous monster that doesn't undermine your efforts with its side effects.

Get a blender, make shakes with some of the following ingredients:

- Peanut butter
- Whole milk
- Oatmeal
- Eggs
- Protein powder
- Ice cream
- Bananas

It's very quick and easy to drink a couple of these blended shakes a day for an extra 1000-1500 calories. Combined with normal meals and heavy lifting it should accelerate your bulking.

I'm losing my hair and think it would be better to be a bit more buff if I shave it off.

I want to want to build muscle because I'm curious to see for myself if the kinds of things you have mentioned here are real. Growing up, I was always skinny, and physically not as athletic as other guys. It was natural for me to become the artist instead of a jock.

I do lift some almost every day. It's taking a long time to see improvement. Any that is there is slight for sure. I guess I'm a hardgainer. Maybe it has to do with being vegetarian.

One of my life goals is to experience myself at my full potential. I don't believe I've reached the height of my power yet. I definitely want more quality and consistency on all fronts, and I feel that I need to get better.

Thanks, but I was already chugging 1000cal bulking powder shakes at the end of every day. Yes, 'do it at the beginning of the day too', but my morning appetite is 'zero, idea of food will make me wretch'.

Oh, it's definitely a real difference, make no mistake. It's as real a difference as learning game. It also requires as much dedication as getting good at game. You aren't going to really see results just doing bodyweight exercises a few times a week just like you won't improve your game by making a few half-hearted approaches a week. You need to be fully invested. That means doing heavy compound lifts 3 or 4 days a week.

A vegetarian diet will also hold you back, unless you really love eggs, milk and whey protein I guess. Unless you have serious health or moral issues regarding meat, I'd recommend at least starting to eat chicken breasts if you're going to lift.

And I am not balding but I often shave my hair short in the summer. It's definitely easier to pull off the buzzed cut/bald look if you've got some muscle. It's the difference between "Stone Cold Steve Austin" and "Cancer patient" [Image: lol.gif].

Hey I think you're right on the above points. Lean muscle triumphs. But you had said that you think that skinniness is so detrimental, such a disqualifier, as to be worse than short stature. I cannot agree with that.

Compound lifts are any lifts that hit multiple muscle groups. The best ones usually follow a progression of muscle groups that have to fire in order. The 'most' compound would probably be a clean and jerk (or a snatch if you count the c&j as two separate movements). Typically people are referring to deadlifts, squats, bench press and overhead press. Chin ups are technically compound lifts but they don't hit your legs. With 30lb dumbells you could probably get started with db snatches and db clean and presses but you'll want heavier weights pretty soon.

You need to find a nearby gym with barbells and a squat rack. 30 lb. dumbbells and a chin up bar aren't going to be enough.

Compound lifts:

Squat:

Deadlift:

Overhead Press:

These are the core lifts you need to learn if you want to put on noticeable muscle.

The first excuse, guys always make is I am not buff like him. I need to work out. (if you are just fat, that's different story)

there is nothing wrong with being skinny. (not anorexic type and has a bad posture)

If you need to work out to be bulky for better results with girls, then how about guys in cardio sports? (runner, bikers, tennis etc)
they train a lot of hours and it will go agianst them? LOL

Me and a few of my friends always thought that 'bulk' & 'girls' had nothing in common. We all did elite level athletics [Mainly the sprints] & were very ripped at around six foot & 75kg [165lb]. On the beach we did fine [Clothed in a club not so much]. Any and all girls we spoke too said that 'size' wasn't attractive [This should have been the first sign].

Around 4 years ago I gave up the sport [Due to injuries] - Slowly my weight crept up to around 85kg [185lb]. I wasn't ripped anymore but looked bigger in clothes. Automatically female shit tests decreased dramatically. In the past few years I've moved to around 215lb [Around 98kg] & a lot less ripped [Around a four pack] & I can promise it's turned into 'don't fuck up game'. Everything I say is taken at face value. Girls don't think that I have an agenda. Essentially they automatically assume I'm the boss & it's up to me not to fuck it up.

From my experience; Scorpion is spot on.

Yeah, honestly I've gotten to a point where I've maximized everything else. Muscles are my final frontier. I've got a good haircut, good beard, good skin, and unique style. But I'm 125 pounds and 6 foot. I have a shoulder injury I never took care of and have constant pain and muscular imbalamces from scoliosis.
After reading this thread I'm going to finally do physical therapy and hit the gym. I am under the impression that muscular balance and relaxed muscular tension is more important than size and that's what I will focus on.

Any advice, I've honestly started rehab for my shoulder 5 times over the past 3 years but have gotten no where. I always just give up and stop showing up when the pain doesn't get better.

I've been boxing for 3 years. I'm short and skinny, 5'5'' and 135. It's been a month since I'm lifting my ass 5 times per weeks and 2 weeks since I started my diet. The diet is harder than training. I must force myself to eat. But so far I've gained 5 pounds and feel way better.

Wow you are really skinny

I've been skinny my entire life.

Lacking muscles is like any other alleged flaw - you recognize it internally but completely ignore it externally. Take reasonable efforts to improve it, but don't worry obsessively about it. Don't let it shake you from a frame of total self confidence and self-love. Remember that a man's physical appearance falls pretty low on woman's priorities, way below social dominance, self-confidence, and masculinity. And remember also that the game is mostly a numbers game, so if a girl doesn't like how you look, just say next. Another girl will like your skinny look.

But the more common explanation is that she's simply testing you. I had a real epiphany about this when I watched the movie Casino. Until then, I had always thought that a man like Joe Pesci (short, bald, ugly) would never fuck a woman like Sharon Stone. She's so much taller than him, so much hotter. I thought a woman wouldn't even let a man like him pretend to fuck her, while acting to make a movie. But there he is in that movie, behind her, fucking like crazy in the lazy dog position.

That's when I realized - there are no rules about a man's physical appearance. Almost all of those rules (bald, short, skinny, etc.) are just pretend rules that can always be broken. They apply at the margins, if at all. Women are more likely to use them as shit tests (sounds like your situation), or as rationalizations when you fail to attract them for other reasons. They're going to be far more interested in how you respond to their accusation than in the fact that you're really skinny.

You can agree and amplify (yeah, I'm anorexic), challenge them (I'm trying to motivate you girls), show complete self love (I prefer to be slim, America is too fat), all with a wink and a sly grin, but whatever you do, you have to show that you're not afraid at all of them judging you for being skinny, because you're 100% comfortable being who you are. This is one of the most important concept in all of game, and I think it goes back to Tyler Durden's Blueprint.

I take zinc and creatine to handle the skinniness. I also go to the gym fairly regularly. When you hit your mid thirties (if you're not there already), your body will start to take care of it for you, because most people gain weight then. I'm going to try testosterone replacement therapy soon, which can potentially help too. Simply lifting weight regularly can help a lot with both muscle mass and hormone levels.

Roosh has always been a little skinny, although you can tell that he lifts weights in his recent videos. Style from the Game was famously skinny and boyish. I think it's pretty common - because dominance and manliness are so important to women, men who looked more skinny and boyish struggled more, and this led them to take extreme measures.

As time goes on, things will happen that will prove to you how unimportant these things are. Since watching Casino, I've fucked women hotter than I thought I would ever fuck, women taller than me, women who weigh more than me (both ugly girls when I was desperate years ago, and hot tall girls with nice BMIs), etc. I learned that there are no rules. I started to expand my search criteria on OK Cupid to include taller women.

This stupid throw-away line always pisses me off. As though it's that simple. Tell it to the gag reflex. Tell it to the feeling that it would take a plunger to force the next mouthful down.

Eating is an action. Not eating is an inaction. To not eat you just need to sit still. That's easy, fighting against your stomache and your nausea everyday is not.

Skinny is not a complement. Skinny is something girls strive to be, not men.

I couldn't gain weight until I put all my focus into bulking and lifting heavy for about 6 months.
