I'm not one to tell you what to write but I'm just making you a suggestion. You've already made your point that you think it is necessary to buy gift for the girls, and if you continue to stress that the discussion will only continue to be disrupted. Most guys prefer the risk of going somewhere and ending up "empty-handed" instead of paying for it.
Now, you can argue that you dont think thats p4p and I do agree to some extent with the argument that in some way or another we all pay for it, but I still FEEL like its somewhat different to improve yourself and get girls that way than to pay directly for it and maybe someone should start another thread for this almost philosopical discussion.

I’ve been a bit reluctant to post on here as a new member. I’ve seen how trollish it’s got lately on the forum. I’ve been to Kiev. (returned a few weeks ago) I actually nearly held off and considered visiting friends in Canada as I wanted a chilled vacation and thought it’d be hard work. It was my first time in Ukraine, and I didn’t travel elsewhere in the country.

Here’s my 2 cents:

I have to say, everything Deb Auchery and Hooligan Harry post about their experiences with FSU girls rings true with me. No point repeating again...

Neil, you would definitely be fine in Kiev, it’s just as you say: “dump hostel and Couchsurfing” will still get you laid. It’s just a normal capital city.

I think Greek Kamaki is probably also on the money, it’s just you guys are coming from different angles.

I can’t relate to Greek’s posts personally, because, although I’ve got a fairly decent budget, I’m certainly no high roller when I travel. I’m probably closer to Neil’s or Naughty Nomad’s style (but with WAY less of the madness!)

I stayed at a hostel in the centre of town (it was empty, the owner was very cool) I went to watch a few bands at “Crystal Hall” venue. I drank in the odd dive bar, but mostly hung out round people’s apartments. I met some really sound people on Couchsurfing and got laid a couple of times after house parties (both friends of the person I emailed). One was SNL, the other after the often-reported “second date”. Both were pretty stunning...

I didn’t do anything different than I would of back home. About me: My game level is beginner, I’m from the U.K. I have slightly above average looks, 26 years old, about 6” tall. I’ve always done well with girls, always been fairly popular. I got into game by accident: I was looking to up my confidence when going out solo, as most of my friends won’t come to Eastern Europe with me, and it feels weird to travel alone...


I think Hooligan Harry posted somewhere saying, (paraphrasing sorry!) “You can’t simply throw all the girls in a whole country into one type” and he’s totally on the money.

If I go out in London, I’ll head somewhere fairly grimy where I can listen to some decent music. I tend to do much better with the slightly more arty/hipster ish girl these places attract. It’s about finding your fishbowl... That’s why I did so well. They probably have tons of cultural differences, and I can’t help you with those...but on my short stay, I did well because I picked a crowd similar to what I’m used to at home (only much hotter lol) and I slotted right in.


It would be wrong of me to throw in loads of theories on the cultural differences between Ukrainian and Polish girls, but I did notice a few :

I find Polish girls MUCH easier to get on with. I think the cultural divide seems much less noticeable. I find it easier to relate to their sense of humour and I feel more chilled in social situations. All the Polish people I’ve met have closer tastes to mine in terms of music, books and other popular culture. I’ve been to Poland a fair bit, and obviously London is full of Polish people, so maybe it’s just a case of familiarity.

With more time (and Russian) Ukraine is probably awesome. I had a great time,... It’s certainly easy on the eye I’ll say that much!


Sorry for the waffle... I just didn’t want anyone getting turned off of Kiev as this mythical place you’ll never get laid in... If you can get laid elsewhere in Europe, you'll be fine. I was only here 2 weeks...

I agree, Kiev is a city like any other. There are girls that will only sleep with you if make some demonstration on wealth, can be something simple like having a nice watch, mobile phone, buying them cocktails etc.

I did notice something in Ukraine that fascinated me, though: You’ll meet a girl who appears totally vacuous, only exists for shoes, handbags, hair extensions... To appreciate whether an Ukrainian girl is interesting or not you need to know really good Russian appreciate the local humor etc and this is not the case with most foreigners.Also Ukrainian girls are of provincial stock(big cities account only for 15% of population) and Ukrainians are largely villagers(as Poles are as well).So you cannot find real class either in Ukraine or in Poland(except in high end cities like Kiev maybe).With that I mean that both polish and Ukrainian girls are largely unpresentable compared to Russian or Czech ones.Russian especially can display features of very high caliber women totally top class and know how to carry themsleves etc.
This is not the case with Ukrainian and in a less degree with polish women who can easily make you lose face if you present them.They are too provincial and village style to be accepted.Russian women give status(if from Moscow,Peter) and Czech women appear as normal(comparable to German women).

Also Ukrainians are exposed to more primitive culture compared to Poles.Polish women can know about art etc Ukrainian not so much.Ukrainian will know about basic things like Alexander Dumas works etc.Too childlike.Russian women on contrary have some depth and smartness which Ukrainian women lack.It is like Russian women are more transparent like the touch of slavic soul.Slavic soul exists in Ukrainian women also but is more hidden it does not get in your face like electric touch.
Craziness and slavic mental state are apparent in all slavic women but very much suppressed among Czech women due to Germanic mix.It shows when Czech women become drunk and Germanic origin inhibitions are removed.
Polish women are very talkative.I would say they talk too much sometimes.They say everything.When they joke you laugh.With polish women I can apply heavy Balkan humor modified and they get it.They usually shiver and shake from laughing for minutes and repeat the jokes.With Russian I cannot apply apply Balkan humor they find it offending and primitive and Ukrainian do not get it at all.
For example if you start saying swear words in polish like cipca,kurwa,suka,cholera,chuj etc the polish girls will start to laugh.They will also teach you swear words so you can make them laugh by telling them.If you try to tell a Russian girl the same words kurva,suka,pizda she will not find it funny at all.She will find it offending.The same an Ukrainian girl will take the whole thing seriously.This is not Balkan humor of course to say swear words this is more Italian like but our humor has the same effect.

To appreciate whether an Ukrainian girl is interesting or not you need to know really good Russian appreciate the local humor etc and this is not the case with most foreigners.Also Ukrainian girls are of provincial stock(big cities account only for 15% of population) and Ukrainians are largely villagers(as Poles are as well).So you cannot find real class either in Ukraine or in Poland(except in high end cities like Kiev maybe).With that I mean that both polish and Ukrainian girls are largely unpresentable compared to Russian or Czech ones.Russian especially can display features of very high caliber women totally top class and know how to carry themsleves etc.
This is not the case with Ukrainian and in a less degree with polish women who can easily make you lose face if you present them.They are too provincial and village style to be accepted.Russian women give status(if from Moscow,Peter) and Czech women appear as normal(comparable to German women).

Also Ukrainians are exposed to more primitive culture compared to Poles.Polish women can know about art etc Ukrainian not so much.Ukrainian will know about basic things like Alexander Dumas works etc.Too childlike.Russian women on contrary have some depth and smartness which Ukrainian women lack.It is like Russian women are more transparent like the touch of slavic soul.Slavic soul exists in Ukrainian women also but is more hidden it does not get in your face like electric touch.
Craziness and slavic mental state are apparent in all slavic women but very much suppressed among Czech women due to Germanic mix.It shows when Czech women become drunk and Germanic origin inhibitions are removed.
Polish women are very talkative.I would say they talk too much sometimes.They say everything.When they joke you laugh.With polish women I can apply heavy Balkan humor modified and they get it.They usually shiver and shake from laughing for minutes and repeat the jokes.With Russian I cannot apply apply Balkan humor they find it offending and primitive and Ukrainian do not get it at all.
For example if you start saying swear words in polish like cipca,kurwa,suka,cholera,chuj etc the polish girls will start to laugh.They will also teach you swear words so you can make them laugh by telling them.If you try to tell a Russian girl the same words kurva,suka,pizda she will not find it funny at all.She will find it offending.The same an Ukrainian girl will take the whole thing seriously.This is not Balkan humor of course to say swear words this is more Italian like but our humor has the same effect.

I think many Polish girls from big cities are leaps and bounds ahead of most girls in Kiev. Just because a girl wears fancy clothing and goes to fancy places doesn't mean she has class. This becomes evident when you see this "classy" girl eating in a restaurant, and you can see the contents of her mouth when she's talking.

Talking about what Boris said about girls liking comedies, i'm sick of all the Ukrainian girls telling me how much they like "Friends". The girl that has been staying with me lately was always watching Simpsons, Desperate Housewives, Sex and the City etc. Simpsons is great, but when you mention South Park here they say it's way too rude.

I was at a friends house the other day and we had some people round and put on a Ricky Gervais sketch, my friends and I were pissing ourselves laughing. Was quite amazing to see the girl's faces afterwards though, they were horrified.

I have no idea what Ukrainian humour is like, and I don't want to know
