It's a fucking outrage he's stuck in that embassy even after the rape charges were dropped in Sweden. I'm disgusted with the U.K. and the U.S. on this. He's the prime example of how "Free speech isn't free."

If only you knew how bad things really are.

The UK probably never had free speech. With Tommy in jail they are well on their way to a tyrannical government. All ideologies end in totalitarianism as the saying goes....

If Tommy is in jail for speech, Julian never stood a chance and never will.

Now THAT is interesting.

So much can be gleamed from this. I hope Gowdy and Nunes see this. Tom Fitton might be able to do a FOIA request for the documents on this.

Off the top of my head I can see the following:

1. Either Peter Strzok and his little gang were desperate at some point for dirt on Trump and wanted to see what he had.

2. Maybe they thought he had Hilary's emails. Plenty of us thought he had them. Maybe he does, maybe he does not.

3. If he had copies of Hilary's emails, they likely wanted to know his source for them (think Russians), take the emails from Julian in exchange for immunity. Hide the emails from the public.

4. If Comey nixed the deal in 2017, that means they were trying to make a deal with him in 2016 somehow. By 2017, the election is over Trump won, nobody cares anymore. I would like to know WHEN they tried.

5. It's also possible that they wanted him to stop dumping the Clinton and Podesta emails by offering him immunity to stop back during the election.

6. It's possible they could have been offering him a deal to verify that Seth Rich was his source for the DNC emails. Immunity could have been granted for that. That would also signal that they actually investigated Seth's death or are still investigating it (unlikely). Also a darker motive could be to grant immunity to cover up the killing of Seth. Remember Peter and gang likely knew about Seth and the DNC emails before everyone else. Is it possible Peter or other FBI agents killed Seth in that Medstar hospital? Samseau posted about an FBI vehicle with guns in the same area last year.

7. Other possible ideas could have been related to the leaked video in Manning's case or other DoD leaks, etc. Seems unlikely because Comey nixing the deal meant it was likely something more serious than this.

I even wonder now if Peter had anything to do with Judge Scalia's murder. Podesta might have ties to Peter. So many things need to be looked into, but nobody is going to do this at this time it seems.

There has to be emails and other communications about Assange. We need copies of it to be made available to the public or at least congress. I want to know if Hilary or her people hit up Comey and McCabe for a favor to shut up Assange. I think Obama may have also done so, but that is not illegal for him to do so, but it would be interesting never the less to show that the WH likely was doing everything it could to assist Hillary.

EDIT: Hang on a second. How did they communicate with Julian? Did they speak unsecured via the embassy? Did they use Pamela Anderson? Remember she is a liberal PETA member and very likely a Democrat. I believe she was a donor at one point.

^how long does he sit in a UK prison before Sessions' extradition request is finalized? Could be years if he isn't killed inside. THEN, when he gets to the US, he will be in maximum security. Allegedly he is looking at 43 years in a US prison. We may never hear from him again unless Trump pardons him.

Will there be any - enough? - outrage from the right to press to their case for a pardon to Trump?

Or will they be entirely over-ruled by the military toadies like Senator's McCain and Graham?

Well lets see:

1. Trump once called him a leaker/criminal. Said he needed to be stopped or something to that effect. (Doesn't exactly mean much in the grand scheme of things)

2. Neocons HATE Julian with a passion. He exposed Bush W so much so that they would try and skewer Trump for a pardon.

3. Obama people hate him possibly even more, making him a 100% complete enemy of the Deep State all together.

4. Julian's only supporters are a modest collection of progressive liberals, some Deplorables, some left-of-center Moderates, Green Party types, and Libertarian/Tea Party ish types. His enemies as far as voters go are Never Trumper Republicans and Super Loyal Democrats still angry about 2016 that used to love him in the early/mid 2000s.

If they wind up nabbing Julian and it seems eminent now, Trump's best bet would be to ask Sessions to have the UK send him ASAP. Let him get processed and charged then he can pick one of three ways to handle it:

1. Pardon him after he is charged and deport him.
2. Pardon him after an expensive and circus like charge
3. Pardon him after his is put in a Supermax prison cell
A) Before the 2020 election
B) After the 2020 election
C) Before he leaves office in 2024 at the very end per custom.

It is not in the USA's best interests to jail international journalists till death.

Be honest with yourselves. He did not commit treason. He published classified information stolen by US employees wanting to whistleblow outside the legal procedure for whistleblowing. The leakers need to be punished more severely than the publisher. Edward Snowden technically deserves the death penalty or life in a Supermax prison, not Julian.

We look like monsters if we throw him in the same place as Zacarias Moussaoui for life. That's very anti-free speech. If we want to be able to speak out against illegal immigration and destroy political correctness, you cannot jail journalists. It's utterly retarded, uncivilized, despotic, and barbaric. Obama jailed the most American journalists in history because he is a tyrannical socialist. Why people were surprised he did that, I will never understand. Democrats are not for free speech and now took what Obama started as the means to attack and punish people for mere words and ruin their careers. Trump has not jailed a single journalist so far (IIRC). Not a good time to become a raving hypocrite.

If Trump lets him rot away in a Supermax after he already rotted in that embassy, I guarantee you he will lose some unspecified amount of voters that thought he was different than the other presidents. He already gave several others a second chance that were decent people, and it no doubt yanked some black voters and others to his side. No reason to stop being a rockstar just to be a stubborn hardass. That said, if Julian does get out, he is not going to show much appreciation or pledge to stop being a reporter. It would be a 100% mercy pardon to signify Trump's superiority as a ethical human being. Do not give far left people like Julian a martyr's blessing.

I would frame the pardon as not gaoling journalists.

Putin is notorious for imprisoning journalists, so framing it this way will make it harder for conspiracy theorists at CNN to paint this as a Russian agent helping another Russian agent.

Alternatively, if there is meat behind the Seth Rich story, Trump could give Julian full immunity in exchange for testifying.

A smart move to create distance would be to leak his own tax returns to wikileaks, and maybe get in a twitter spat.

I like this idea. It would be excellent trolling to pardon him or commute his sentence (after some presumed conviction) and then lecture the media about the importance of free speech.

Well using the extradition treaty they get hackers from Western European countries and can convict them here and make them serve time. They likely cannot charge him with publishing classified information as a foreign alien and he is not an enemy combatant either.

They likely can charge him with some of the things they charge hackers like the guy from the UK that hacked NASA or that Russian guy that helped created the Zeus trojan variants and took a vacation to France getting arrested the second the left the plane.

Likely they will get him on conspiracy to commit computer fraud, perhaps they will use Bradley Manning and other former Intelligence agents, now in prison, to testify that he was in cohorts with them as they stole sensitive US military data from government owned computers or that he encouraged them.

A jury full of stay at home white women could find him guilty of that due to the fact that they are airheaded. His lawyers better get some men with an IT background in that pool if they know what is good for them. Maybe a woman packed jury is better, I am not an elite criminal lawyer so I do not know, but it would seem risky because we do know for a fact that women are more impressed with legal authority than men are.

But how will they prove he hacked anything?

Otherwise, his offenses are publishing classified information, which is protected by the First Amendment.

The first amendment only protects Americans, not foreigners. Not a good idea to chase foreigners for violating our speech regulations, but that is an option.

They will get him on conspiracy to commit computer fraud because the other perps did it and he published what they stole. They will probably get Manning or others that are currently in prison to say Julian encouraged them. I bet they could still charge him with that for just receiving classified military documents and asking for things of that sort.

If they plant malwares and frame kiddie porn peddlers don't think they won't try to pin that on him either. Not like he will have the legal firepower to fight them off.

Again, it's iffy and sketch as hell. Sends mixed messages about what our country is about.

Trump should probably pardon him just on the basis of it would be embarrassing to watch them try and frame him of computer crimes we know he did not commit. Before a pardon though, they need him to cough up what he knows about Seth Rich and other matters if it is relevant. Huber will be the guy to interview him.

They can send him to Australia with request for home arrest and make him live with his mom and keep his passport for a while. He won't do anything stupid living there. AUS is somewhere between the USA and the oppressive UK regime on being Big Brother on their own people.

'I was never in favour of his activities': Ecuador's president says Julian Assange MUST leave its London embassy as he confirms he is in talks with Britain about the situation

-Assange has been in London's Ecuador embassy since 2012, fearing extradition
-But Ecuador's president has now said Wikileaks founder must leave eventually
-Lenin Moreno said he has spoken to the British government about the situation

He said he had 'never been in favour' of the activities of the 47-year-old as he spoke at an event in Madrid, adding that Australian-born Assange will eventually need to leave the embassy.
Speculation about Assange's future has grown after reports that senior officials from Ecuador and Britain were now in discussion about how to remove him from the embassy after revocation of his asylum. A source close to him told Reuters the situation was coming to a head.

Moreno was in London this week to attend a global disabilities summit. But a British government spokesman said today the matter was not discussed during the recent visit.
Moreno said any eviction of Assange from the embassy had to be carried out correctly and through dialogue, but he displayed no sympathy for Assange's political agenda as a leaker of confidential documents.
'I have never been in favour of Mr Assange's activity,' Moreno said at an event in Madrid.

He is likely alive, just a political mess as they determine how far can they go in ruining his life without looking like flaming hypocrites on human rights. Knowing May and the UK lately, they will absolutely fuck this up and look like communist trash squishing an ant they do not like for writing things they do not like. With the Saudi journalist getting his dick lopped off, the timing is probably too poor to drag his ass out the embassy.
