7 episodes into this arc is far far too long. 3 episodes would have been fine. Theres not enough material there to keep padding this out.
The stand-alone single plot episodes are usually far better in the more recent seasons than these overwrought "EPIC" multi-episode stories.

The last two seasons, certainly this season, has been a disappointment.

It is obvious the last episode was not planning Trump winning. All the part with Bill Clinton had to be modified and it felt weird with the rest of the episode.

Couldn't get past the 3 minute mark on this week's episode. They have been digging a hole this entire season, and the only way out was for Trump to lose the election.

The whole cartman superhero multi series was fucked up as well.
I do like the member berries. Member when there weren't so many Mexicans?

Yeah it was one thing when they were portraying Garrison as a brash a-hole, it was another when they made him to be scared of actually winning and telling everyone to vote for "Turd Sandwich". The writers have painted themselves into a corner with that one. If they would've kept Garrison congruent with Donald it would've worked better.

I'm a hardcore South Park fan, but this season as well as the last have been poor. Maybe Matt and Trey are just running out of material.

While the new season on the whole hasn't been as great as past seasons, it is still good.
I've laughed my ass off at least once every episode. The new Gerald and member berries have been hilarious.
I'm still hoping they tie it all together in the end.

Episode 7 is such a yuuuge shift from the first 6.
They've written themselves into a corner with this season and have played it too safe.
The problem is that they aren't keeping up on the stories in the media and are not exaggerating reality - Wiener, Saudi Arabia, Huma, Spirit Cooking, Hilary's health, Bill's black son, Trump's family. Worst of all, they've fucked up Trump - portraying him like every other mainstream leftist comedy act, "It's all a joke guys, I don't want to be president!".
Instead they are presenting what everyone else is already saying and not being different and controversial - what made the show so popular in the first place.
The peak of this show was the 2000-2005 seasons, seasons 4-9 are all great seasons.

While this recent episode wasn't the best I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt and say it's due to them having to change everything. Personally I don't think they should have changed stuff because they were building up to something different and should have had a back up plan.
What I'm saying is, if the next episode is about the crybaby-fest we witnessed this week- all will be forgiven.

Tried to watch this week's episode and again didn't make it more than a few minutes. It's like they are deliberately undermining all potential comedy with ham-fisted Trump content.
Also, the member berries are a mafia now? Where is that metaphor going?

^ My interpretation of the "member berries" is that it's a mocking form of "Whig history". I.e. the idea that we are always heading in the direction of progress. This is generally an idea held by smug arrogant leftists, who think anything they think, do or say is "progress" by default, and everyone else is living in the past -- that the concept of "degeneration" is impossible.
They are implying that peoples desire to remember and restore the past, which they see as better, is just a vice. That we should accept the changes around us, and that in spite of clear evidence and reason that those changes are wrong or bad, whenever we think they are wrong we are stupid or somehow inferior. Remembering better times, wishing to restore them (such as by voting for Trump), is contemptible to the leftist. Everyone should just be wise and accept their degeneration as "inevitable progress".
So again, fuck them typical smug arrogant leftists. They've lost any pretext of being "equal opportunity mockers". They are enemies.
