Mission to Moscow

So you spend on average 400 euro per day in restaurants, taxis, accomodation. This is on par with my experience in Kiev where expenses are half of Moscow. For a polish prices used individual these prices are out of order.
Belarussian girls told me that girls in Moscow St. Peter are open to day game and meeting new people
while Belarussian girls are more reserved.

Nice write ups.

Not that much honestly. I'm getting insta-dates here quickly. For every 3 approaches, 1 won't speak English, 1 won't be interested, but the 3rd will stop and have a conversation with me.

How would you rate your Russian language proficiency CR?

And in your opinion/experience is it important?

I definitely am struggling with it. Ordering in restaurants and talking to cab drivers is difficult for me. That said, you do not need to be anywhere close to fluent to get around here. Almost everyone in Moscow understands enough English enough to work with you, even if they only speak a few words themselves. English proficiency here is similar to Kiev. Probably a little higher.

Reading Cyrillic is important. No signs are in English.

In three weeks I've met two girls above a 6 who spoke English. I think I'm in the wrong city. [Image: lol.gif]

I think quality is the tradeoff here. There are lots of uglies & fatties in Moscow. I see a few skrillex haircuts every day. Pussy Riot is definitely a sign of things to come for Moscow. I did not see any of these types in Kiev. But due to sheer numbers, you can meet plenty of 7's & 8's in Moscow who speak good English. I've met lots of western groupies from day game approaches.

Yeah the economics don't make sense here. This is a high price, low income city. Much better value to be had in Poland. Belarussia is a whole other visa application. Doesn't seem to be worth the hassle.

Today I had another round of dates. No kisses from any of them, but I tried with all. One with a "good girl" red head, she talked about serious relations, marriage, and children all day. I tried to kiss her after a few hours, but she giggled like a school girl every time and said she will not be kissing. I asked her why then she wears such a sexy dress with high heels? She said "you are only feeling passion. I want love".

I think because I'm not doing any nightlife, I'm getting a different, more conservative type of girl experience from what Slubu wrote about last year during his famous romp. I'm finding it's easier to get dates in Moscow, but closing is harder, when compared with NYC, where women are more DTF via daygame & online efforts.

But NYC is also chock full of vocal fry careerist feminists. In Moscow, these do not exist [Image: wink.gif]

Russian women are a different kettle of fish, maybe abroad they become western and predictable; but Russia is still a traditional country. The fast hook up culture is miniscal compared to the West. If you lived out there for a few months, you would probably find an attractive girlfriend who will be feminine and overall high quality. But I would say its the wrong city, to go and expect quick bangs. Then again I still have a lot to improve with my game, so it depends on who is going there.

two questions for courage reborn ?

1) Is that girl you showed a picture of, called Lera or Valeria by any chance; that body looks very familiar to me.

2) What was your favourite part of the city ?

Mendeleev is great...right below Lucky Noodles. Buddah Bar is right around the corner fyi...expensive as f*ck too and never all that good when I was there but heard it's gotten better.

One place I liked that's not too expensive is Dandy Cafe right off Novy Arbat. I think it's a Ginza Project place but I liked it for cheaper dates (cheap for Moscow at least). It's central and was a straight shot down the road to my old place so good logistics for most people. It's also has a small dance floor bar scene sometimes with DJs.

I agree completely with what Brodiaga said re location and date selection. You can end up wasting so much time with hot gold diggers like the ones at Soho Rooms for example. If she's insisting on going to a higher end place forget it - not worth it.

Also, add 'walks' to your list of date options....I always got good responses for those in the Summer- think Russian girls are just used to that and like to get out and about after being cooped up all winter.

I had good experience with "walk" dates in Minsk and in Kiev so don't doubt that they'd be a slam in Moscow as well. Why spend all that money going to fancy and oftentimes boring lounges and "sky bars" when you can have way more fun walking hand in hand with a girl in the park, eating ice cream for a few roubles, and making out. Obviously this wouldn't be a 1 hour date, you'd probably end up spending a few hours as the obligatory boat ride, ferris wheel, and photo ops would be needed for optimal seduction.

Courage, I know you do not enjoy nightlife but please do yourself a favor and just experience what is Moscow on a weekend night, at least one time. There have been two times, in the god knows how many nights I've gone out in my life, where my brain shorted out from what I saw. Both times, it was in Moscow (2010, 2013).

Suit up, go to Icon on a Saturday night, and try to retain your composure. Assuming the nightlife spots are the same as last year of course. Jagger, Gypsy, Rolling Stone also good, and Barbados on Thursday night. It was just Icon one Saturday that made me go...

Mission to Moscow

@ Slubu, yeah I will give it a go 1 night or 2, just to see what all the hype is all about. I'd like to find a wing to roll with.

The story so far

The Good:

It took me a few days, but I am loving Moscow now.

I'm finding it easier to connect here. Wroclaw had the most targets, due to all the schools. Kiev or Prague has arguably the best facial beauty. But it was a still a lot of effort to make the connections really happen. I had to chase those girls and spend hours on lots of approaches. Here, my 2nd & 3rd approaches of the day are connecting and resulting in insta-dates. It's surreal. The girls here are open to being hit on. They dress sexy, and hang out by themselves on benches, just waiting to be approached. In Kiev, it was more pairs of girls. Moscow just has so many more people in the metropolitan area, and hence, more single targets available to snipe.

The Bad:

They have more money here in Moscow than Kiev. People appear more relaxed with there lot in life. That said, they'll still knock you out of way on a crowded metro, or on the street. This happens in both cities often. More rarely in NYC.

More money also means less desperation to land a man in Moscow. The attitude is less romantic. More realistic.

I'll say it again, because it annoys me; little to no street eye contact. Women are approached frequently here by undesirables. But once I open my mouth and speak terrible Russian, their skeptical frown turns into a smile, they ask me where I'm from, and I'm golden.

Downtown Kiev is full of lovers. Couples making out, and girls walking with flowers is a frequent sight. Flower giving is a very important piece of courtship in Kiev. The people just fucking love flowers. I see this somewhat in Moscow, but less so.

When compared with Czech, Polish, Ukranian, and Estonian, I think Russian women have darker souls. There is less humor & joy. More pessimism. They are more particular in their tastes, and more subtle in their manner. Except when it comes to money. They are direct enough to say "take me to dinner" as a response to asking them out. The level of directness was shocking at first, but I'm cool with it now, since I've hooked up with 2 of these types already in 4 days.

In Wroclaw Poland, there are unfortunate butterfaces on otherwise beautiful figures. But there appears to be many more fuglies overall here in Moscow. Kiev had the most consistently pretty faces I've seen.

About 1/4th of the girls in Moscow on Tinder are expats. Sarcastic writing in the profile is a giveaway. Definitely avoid. In fact, you can skip online altogether and just focus on day game, and be totally busy with dating the whole time here.

I had a date today with a 6' siberian actress, and pulled a journalist/translator. She's coming back tomorrow afternoon to bring me lunch. Russian women come in all shapes, sizes, and attitudes.

There is too much action happening here for me to post it all. I had to cancel my private lessons, because they were becoming prohibitively expensive combined with my astronomical food expenses. I need to find a cheap private tutor now. I also extended my stay here another week. It's just too good to leave so soon.

This is interesting; care to elaborate? I'm imagining a Russian girl not getting Western humor or being unimpressed with empty optimism. I'm sure the weather and history factor in; but you said the other FSU countries aren't quite like this. Maybe it's Russia's artistic and cultural legacy.

In my experience, Russian girls are more open to deeper and artistic conversation. There's little or no need to put on a mask and entertain as with Anglosphere girls (or try and pass off pop culture as high art). I i-dated a Russian photographer from Moscow in East Village last month where she basically said "It's too noisy and annoying here, let's find a wine bar and talk philosophy." Though I'm skeptical that club girls in Moscow are trying to debate Nietzsche [Image: lol.gif]

Courage, your posts are awesome. Can you give us an example of how you are making day approaches? I assume you do not use the "lost tourist" act which I used in FSU with only partial success. Are you immediately commenting on what they wear and why they are by themselves? Also, are you approaching them while "dressed to impress"?

wow CR. You are really spitting some game and insights here that took me years to figure out. I'll try to break it down a bit but you really hit the nail on the head when you said the following:

"More money also means less desperation to land a man in Moscow. The attitude is less romantic. More realistic."

Absofuckinglutely. It's both a blessing and a curse in Moscow. In a way, it helps you know where you are at. There are so many 'club' girls who are hot but know how to work the system and find rich married dudes who will pay for their drinks, dinners, holidays etc. But there are also plenty of middle class girls who are just out to have fun and who love living in Moscow. And if you do run into the girls from the provinces who've just arrived it's like a breath of fresh air. It's nice to know the 'lay of the land' and be able to work all the different types of girls once you get to know them all.

"I'll say it again, because it annoys me; little to no street eye contact. Women are approached frequently here by undesirables. But once I open my mouth and speak terrible Russian, their skeptical frown turns into a smile, they ask me where I'm from, and I'm golden.

Unfortunately, Russian women get approached by a lot of guys from the Caucuses and 'stans who either 1) don't have any game or enough of their own to approach or 2) are of the mindset that non-Muslim women are all whores and to be aggressively approached (or both I guess). It doesn't help us foreigners out, but once they know you're not some rude dude I guess it works to your advantage sometimes.

"When compared with Czech, Polish, Ukranian, and Estonian, I think Russian women have darker souls. There is less humor & joy. More pessimism. They are more particular in their tastes, and more subtle in their manner."

BINGO. They have been burned so many times. Right after the wall came down and then again in 1998. Hell the last crisis hurt them pretty bad too. Many still have the 'peasant' mentality. But it's funny, for people so supposedly beaten down, they sure can evidence a ton of pride.... esp towards the situation in Ukraine...

Businessman is always a good line to go through. Out of interest, what was your favourite place in Moscow ?

Also how did you overcome LMR, after the second date, my girls always ended up showing me to their friends and family, which of course is a bad sign, if you just want some fun.

What kind of style are rocking when you're out and about? Are you going out suited up, or are you dressing more casual?

Arbatskaya metro, and Old Arbatskaya street are my favorites. It has the most targets, with benches everywhere, and a nice pace. But lots of other places are great too. Anywhere near a metro is basically gold.

LMR hasn't been an issue once they come upstairs. Getting them up there in the first place is the hard part. They are more conservative than western girls, who come inside after an insta-date relatively often. But it is much harder to get insta-dates in the west. 10-20 approaches, compared to 1-3 over here.

No girls here have introduced me to their family yet. We just do the usual show & tell of family pics over phones. I'm not against it though. Would love to meet the right girl.

Glad you like it. Been rolling out in a t-shirt and light pants. It's been too hot. For night dates & day 2's I suit up.

Yesterday I walked Gorky park. Lots of pairs of young girls sunbathing. Due to so many pairs, it's an excellent spot to daygame with a wing. Otherwise during the weekday, it didn't have enough lone wolf targets to recommend over the inner ring metro entrances. Maybe weekends are a better scene at Gorky for a solo player.

I had a look at Rolling Stone and Gypsy from across the river during the day. Look like a dope open air setup for nightlife.

On my first approach of the day, I connected with a blonde 19 y/o court interpreter. She has a "boy", but "they are only kissing". She was giving me googly love eyes while I was spitting game over coffee. Definitely got the virgin vibe from her. I might still follow up. She's that hot it could be worth putting in 4-6 dates.

Later on, I took a 40 minute ride outside the circle to meet up with a new girl for a homecooked Russian meal she had promised me. It might have been the top 10 worst meals I've ever had. Don't come to Russia expecting fine cuisine. The sex on the other hand, was great. Only problem was, as I was buttoning my shirt back up, I looked over and saw her wiping tears from her face. FUck.

Thankfully she was ok. Just a sensitive girl. Scared that "I will never see you again, after giving you sex". I calmed her down, told her I wasn't going anywhere for at least another week or 2. She seemed ok after that. I didn't get a pic though.

I bounced back to downtown, and had a drink with a cute UK expat teacher. So sue me, I like to mix things up. Dare I say, Moscow women might be too skinny for my taste. I think Kiev girls had more curves, and exaggerated waist-to-hip ratios on average. Over a drink, I asked her if she's dated the local Russian guys. She said to me, "Have you *seen* the local Russian guys?"

Reason to LOVE Moscow: Seeing a few random girls every day wearing a brightly colored, tight, short AND low cut cocktail dress in the middle of the day, for no reason. You can often see their goods clearly though see-through fabrics they choose. Sometimes girls don't wear a bra, and you can see nipples poking out against the fabric. So hot. At first I thought these were prostitutes, but they are just normal girls who like to look good when I approached them.

Quote of the day:
On the metro escalator, a chick I was with said to me, "if looking across escalator, one can look faces. Is like looking in pet shop!"

Courage, you are killing me man. You make me realize more and more everyday why I loved Moscow so much and it is my #1 city I've been to. Interesting that you find the Moscow girls to be less curvy than their Kiev counterparts - I actually found the opposite. More tits and ass in Moscow than Kiev.

If you want to check out another metro spot for daygaming, try Smolenskaya which is at the end of Old Arbat. You can transition to a million different instadate spots there, and if you want to go real baller the top of the hotel right at that corner has an awesome bar (the name escapes me right now). Of course Dandi cafe is right there too, and that place is decently cheap and good.

On Rolling Stone and Gypsy - they are really nice bars. Rolling Stone is more of a drunkfest, people get hammered here. This is where a fake breasted girl (which is rare there) jumped on top of me and started making out with me before one of her friends dragged her away, and another girl vomited on the cab back. Gypsy on the other hand is a lot more classy and really has an amazing setup. Girls love Gypsy, and Sunday afternoons are very popular here for their disco sessions. Higher class girls here, I'll PM you one of the bartenders there that I became friends with, he is really cool in case you want to check it out.

Do you guys know how to get the visa to Russia from Ukraine? Assuming you want to stay in an airbnb apartment and not in a hotel.

Are there many visa agencies in Ukraine that provide the 90 days visa? (And how much it costs)

Also, does anybody know if you already need a Russian visa,to go from Kiev to Crimea?

I am surprised by how many expats and regular Moscow travellers there are on this forum. The number of expats I meet over there are in single figures. Do you guys go there as tourists or for business ?

I will be moving there soon for good, but I see the place as more of a city for business rather than fun.

Courage/Slubu, can you guys comment at all on age difference. For example, is a 10 year age gap acceptable in Moscow as it would be in Kiev. Would a 35 year old guy be accused off as being creepy if he were to approach 21 year old's in public places?
