Hey guys,
How's it going? I've been here in the East Bay for about a decade now, not by choice, I assure you. My family and I migrated to the US from the Philippines, but before settling in the Bay Area, we lived a couple of years in Michigan. At first arriving here was a welcome relief from the gray, depressing winters over there.
Beautiful natural sceneries such as Mt. Diablo, the waters by Benecia, San Francisco's Hills were quite refreshing. But slowly I noticed the culture here. Feminism, Elitism and Liberalism just make it harder to breathe every day.
I've taken it upon myself to work hard to build up investments, so that I can go off and play hard elsewhere.

Is there any place that looks like San Fran and has the same type of setting? Minus the garbage that comes with SF?
Cape Town, Tel Aviv, and Beirut are the only places that come to mind. Each of these places including SF have very big drawbacks.
I see myself in a setting like that one day when I go global.
San Sebastián (which is also called Donostia) in Northern Spain is one of the most gorgeous cities I've ever seen in Europe. I thought of the Bay Area in terms of physical beauty. It's in Basque country, close to the Pyrenees Mountains bordering France. The women and the food were quite fine. It's too bad I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted to, my buddies and I were really just passing through as we took a road trip through Europe.
But shit, I'd even take San Diego over SF any day...
