Menace,

You say you don't have to stay at the place giving you the invitation, how does this work? I thought you had to register once you got into Russia (or is this a different process?) Also does the place you get the invitation from need to be the first city that you plan on staying at or anywhere?

You do have to register. But the registration and the issuance of the visa are not directly related. I'm not going to say there is any particular requirement that the invitation place MUST be the first place you visit, I don't think it is. Just get it from a place in Moscow as you're likely to be going there first anyway.

The people from whom I rented the apartment did the registration for me. They charged me 800 rubles, which is probably a bit of a ripoff. The actual registration in a Russian post office is about 120 rubles (I saw the receipt).

To register, you will need to have to provide: photocopies of your passport (picture page), photocopy of your Russian visa, and photocopy of your exit slip (forget what it's officially called), which Russian customs gives you when you enter the country. Do not lose it!

Hello...Russia

As an unexpected addendum to my summer EE trip, one of the girls I went out with in Moscow got her visa and came to visit LA. This girl is who I referred to as the Internet Prude in the stories in this thread. She was cute, but not my favorite at the time when I was in Moscow. She doesn't drink at all and refused to come back to my apartment regardless of the number of times I went out with her. So after two night dates and the realization she was prude, I switched to just seeing her during the day when I was hungover and wanted to go for a walk or something. Never got further than making out with her.

After I returned home, we kept slightly in touch and turns out she got approved for a visa to America. LA was obviously one of her desired locations, so she came out here and asked if I would be around which I was. She then asked if she could stay with me, to which I replied yes thinking the bang has to be in the bag. Coupled with how entirely over LA I am as a city and my desire to take a break from drinking, I saw it as a low risk proposition - I wasn't going out hunting new girls anymore and if she remained a prude I'd just kick her out a la my buddy's Tomsk girl.

Well she came and to cut to the chase, it turned out to be a great. I basically had a Russian girlfriend for a week. I was with her almost 24/7, so it gave me a very condensed experience of having a foreign girlfriend. As I'm sure you can guess, I enjoyed it much more than my experiences with the LA girls I've been dating and prompted my last ROK article.

Before I get to some of the interesting highlights, I will say that I am not oblivious to the fact that she got a great deal too. She had a free place to stay (got a hotel for the first few nights, but after stayed with me). She had a tour guide. She didn't have to rent a car. She didn't have to plan anything. She had someone translate everything for her and take care of all the nuances that comes with going to a foreign country. Given how calculating Russian girls are, I wouldn't be surprised if she had this planned out before we even met – i.e. trying to find an American to meet while in Moscow and then when/if she got her Visa keep in contact with him for these very purposes.

Nonetheless, I had a wonderful time myself, the sex was fantastic and plentiful, and she was nice and very sweet. The last day I got some sick eating some food and despite wanting to see some more sights she called it off and essentially nursed me back to health. Anyway, on to some of the major takeaways from my week:

-First comment off the plane: "why are the women flight attendants so big and old? I do not understand."

-One night we went to go get groceries and she almost left my place in flats and had a heart attack. Ran back in and put heels on.

-Went to do a slight hike and she refused to dress down. She wore heels and a dress because she said it was more important to look good for the pictures than to be comfortable. Ridiculous I know, but more welcome than the opposite – her dressing down for an event to be comfortable rather than pretty.

-Kept commenting on how fat girls were in America and took pictures to show back home.

-On a very interesting point…towards the end of the week she started eating more and more. What became half a cupcake for lunch became an actual meal. Then eating like shit – having fries, burgers. She kept saying nothing like this exists in Russia, this "tasty." I think this shows how addictive these crap foods are over here. Flavors and tastes that are not natural and intended to induce addiction. At one point she even said if she came to America she could be fat like all the other girls and it would be normal! Unreal how fast the virus spreads.

-She probably took over 2000 pictures. It was truly unbelievable. If anyone has spent any time in EE you know how much these girls love taking photos of themselves. Well imagine when they are in LA for the first time, it was insanity. She straight out told me she uses 10 of every 100 photos she takes.

-Speaking of LA, now there is no doubt in my mind how much value this city holds for these girls. The first day we spent in downtown LA, and she couldn't stop talking about how amazing LA was. Again, DOWNTOWN LA. Not the beaches, not Rodeo Dr., not Hollywood. Every single day she kept stating how amazing it was she was actually in LA, and how nice LA was. After showing her Beverly Hills and Santa Monica she was beside herself. I know when she goes home she will sing the praises of this city. Don't doubt the power of the California ID.

-She got a lot of attention wherever we went. And I will be frank she is about a 7 I'd say, and in Moscow nothing special. But the way she carried herself or something drew a lot of comments and looks. Wearing heels to go hiking probably doesn't do anything to minimize that either. [Image: lol.gif]

-She took a minimum of three showers a day. Everytime we'd leave the place, everytime we got home, and before/after instance of sex. It was rather enjoyable, she smelled wonderful at all times.

-Sex was very passionate, something I alluded to before describing Russian women. She was no different. It varied from 1-3x a day.

-She would ask to take pictures with a bunch of random things, sometimes some random dude's bike or basketball or whatever. Not a single guy said no, and all were more than happy (even excited) to help her out. I had to explain to her why everyone was so "nice."

-She had the EE "I must have it now" attitude. She bought an IPAD all cash after her card got declined, using all her remaining cash. I told her not to do so, and to figure out what was wrong with her card as she should have some cash on her. She did not care and wanted the IPAD that very same day. She also got the biggest and best one even though she could not tell me a single reason why she needed the "best" one.

-She was as domestic as she could be. She didn't know how to cook, which is rather rare, but she made the bed every morning, would clean the dishes, etc.

Overall I had a great time and really enjoyed this mini-gf for a week thing. I wish there was a way to replicate this on a consistent basis. However, how quickly she got accustomed to eating a lot of junk food, and the fact she got so much attention here even in LA makes me realize the idea of bringing one of these girls back to America on a permanent basis is a recipe for disaster.

For the hell of it here's a pic of her on the way up to the hike. I'll take it down after a day or two...

Slubu - great conclusion. If she is Westernizing this quickly..... imagine her in a year from now.
Did she ever starting drinking as you mentioned she did not back in Moscow ?

Basically it seems like a 7 might start thinking she is closer to a 8 or 9 once she has been here long enough.

^^^ To echo G, that is really an incredible observation. She is of course absolutely correct: the food industry here spends a lot of time and money on flavor R&D to make things more addictive. The fact that the taste is different here is no accident, it is purely by design. How can a girl of average willpower compete with our insidious culture? Truly frightening.

@rishboy - She just doesn't drink ever, not a cultural thing just her choice so didn't matter she was here. And maybe I was too harsh on the 7 rating, she may be a bit higher. Like with all Russians I'm constantly amazed at their ability to sport nice tits and asses for their frames. I just like my girls rail thin (think ribcage showing) so maybe that's why I say 7. It's highly subjective anyway. But yes I've met a handful of Russian/Ukrainian girls here and their egos are through the roof. Inherently these girls know their values and you place them somewhere where they are treated like queens (US) instead of commodities (back home) and you can imagine what happens.

@gmanifesto - I did take her to In N Out but this came later at an amusement park. She couldn't get over how good the "seasoned" fries tasted. Like Menace mentions the food here is like crack. As to my ROK article, I always link my latest one in my signature. But for ease click here: http://www.returnofkings.com/20442/4-rea...-are-gross

Totally agree. Crazy (or not so crazy) is that they start right when the baby is born. They engineer the heck out of baby food to make it addictive to condition kids to want to eat more. Fat kids galore!

This statement is golden:

Let's be honest on average these girls are better looking than North American girls and of course they know their value.

The food issue is a big thing also, in America you can get everything you desire. In Europe and especially Eastern Europe the supermarkets are a joke, I would find it challenging if I was there for any length of time.

If you come from Mediterranean countries food in US does not impress you at all.It is 1-2 levels lower in taste due to lack of natural ingredients. However if you come from Germany or Scandinavia and mostly from slavic countries american food is impressive (huge portions etc).Food culture just does not exist in some places it is only a means to fill the stomach in orser to work only Italians and French respect the ritual amd and see food as a pleasure.

What was her reaction to all the attention she was getting all the time compared to Moscow where she would be average at best? Did she say anything about that or did you sense any change in her attitude towards the end of her stay?

For sure bringing an exotic and feminine girl to the US or Canada and I imagine anywhere in the Anglsphere is indeed a recipe for disaster.

Slubu,

Not sure if you already covered this, but could you drop some knowledge about you go about getting the visa required for visiting Russia as a US citizen?

I've asked around, but can't seem to get a straight answer.

The first stage of the answer depends on whether you live in a city with a Russian Embassy/Consulate or not. If you do, then you can go straight there and apply after you have all the necessary documents. If not, then you need to use one of the visa services (e.g. Travisa, http://russia.travisa.com/ ). You will need a standard passport photo, and I believe only one photo is necessary. It takes about 10 days for the visa to be issued (standard service).

1. You will need an invitation. Accredited organizations in Russia like certain hotels, hostels, etc. can issue these invitations. Use one of the many on-line invitation services, for example: http://www.waytorussia.net/Travel/VisaSupport.html

Cost: $30-40 for 24 hour service

You do not have to stay at the place that issues your invitation. You need the invitation BEFORE you start filling out the visa form because certain reference numbers from the invitation need to be put into the visa form. They must match. You will receive the invitation as a pdf file from the service. Print it out for your submission. Note the physical address in Russia of your issuing organization (Google it if you have to); you will need it to fill out the visa application.

2. Fill out the visa application form. The form is automatically generated when you fill it out online. Go here: http://visa.kdmid.ru to fill it out.

Cost: A 3 year multiple entry visa is $160.

If you go in person make sure that it indicates the right location at the top, i.e. if you filled it out for a service but then decide to bring it to the consulate, they will make you fill it out again. Yes, this happened to me. The location selection (e.g. service, consulate, etc.) is made when you fill out the form at the URL above.

Everything must be perfect, they are fairly anal. Do not make any corrections in pen: redo the application if you have to. Indicate all cities you will visit.

3. Personal letter (not sure if required)

It was not clear to me whether this was necessary, but when I went to the consulate they seemed to indicate that it was, so I wrote one.

I drafted a letter to the consulate respectfully requesting that they issue a visa. Include your personal info (DOB, passport info, address, etc.).
Include dates you want visa for (i.e. 3 year period if you're asking for a 3 year visa) AND dates you will be there, assuming they are different. Include cities you plan on visiting.

The consulate had a cover letter available (not available online) that had spaces for inbound/return flight info, so you might want to include that info in your personal letter as well.

Anyway he's definitely being harsh. She is a solid 8 by L.A. standards. She's got a great face. After they left, I was in the lobby with our security guy and he was awestruck with her. I told him everything about RVF, about Moscow, about Slubu and his travels (the security guy is a very red-pill guy and would fit in on these forums in a heartbeat).

He just stared at Slubu's girl walking out of the lobby, and said very solemnly, "Dude, we have to go to Moscow."

She was oblivious. She just kept saying how "nice" all Americans are to her. I think it would take some time for this reality to set in and change what she's used to back home.

Yup even if true I'm not complaining. I'd gladly take a week with a Russian girl if all I had to do was open my apartment to her and show her some sights here and there.

There's a reason after I went to Kiev, I came back and actually enrolled in a college course to learn Russian. And there's even more of a reason after coming back from Moscow, I've made it my short term goal to get my ass there to actually live.

Didn't pay for any ticket, transportation or any other cost associated with her trip. All tourist activities (tours, etc.) she paid for her own way and all souvenirs and shopping. I did buy her one $6 souvenir the last day just because I was feeling nice. The only thing I did do was switch to Russian game, which means paying for meals out. She even got some of the cheaper meals to make an effort, which was nice.

Considering I didn't go on any dates and didn't drink, I can almost guarantee I spent less that week with her than my normal weeks. Nonetheless I still recognize the value she got as I stated above, not having to get a hotel for 5 of the 7 nights and having me around for everything. But as Roosh said, win/win.

---

I did forget two other things:

- She had never seen gay people publicly before, at least what we see in West Hollywood. She was shocked and couldn't stop taking photos.

- I don't make it a secret that I'm not a strong dude. I forgot how it came up but I was explaining to her what "I'm a lover not a fighter meant." After I explained it, she said "so you are a gay? [Image: smile.gif]" [Image: lol.gif]

One other note, I had such a good time I thought why not let me try and see if I can convince another one to come out here. So I tried my favorite one, the Russian from the club that spoke no English and bought me a birthday present. To my surprise she's now actually trying to get her visa. And randomly today she wrote me this (translated from Russian):

Quote:Quote:

What would happen if the world was not men, it is difficult to imagine! So with man's day you wonderful man!)

Just when I think I can't get any more enamored with a country and its women I get something like this. I guess today is "man's day" or something in Russia? Who knows. What I do know is everything we try to explain and preach here in America, Russian women already understand. And it's pretty cool.
