You guys are actually talking about using your suncard (aka student body card) for gaming purposes?!?!

Who the hell pulls out a student body card to "game a girl"

Not directly using the card to game a girl.

But, I can personally vouch for the utility of (preferably active) college/university cards. Aside from the fact that it sometimes allows you access to areas of campus that you otherwise wouldn't have, it is a measure of social proof and it allays a good amount of resistance that can come from college girls. If you are a slightly older guy [Image: wink.gif] who is gaming on campus, one of the major obstacles you run up against is girls thinking you are trolling for coeds. An offhand, shrugging comment of "I'm a visiting grad student in {insert department she is not in}", while flashing your student card, shuts that down immediately.

Currently out of office.

I'm planning on a trip out to Scottsdale in winter 2019. Would love to get out of Boston during the frigid months. My goal is to check out some real estate (Condos - min 2 beds in Scottsdale), get familiar with the area. Will definitely be up for checking out the nightlife, hiking etc.

My goal is to have a winter place out in Az. Don't know too much about the area, have heard only good things, so looking forward to checking it out. Would love to meet up with anyone else living or rolling through the area.

Any suggestions for gaming spots out in North Phoenix? I will be working north of Kierland and Paradise Valley Village.

I could live out there for cheaper rent + shorter commute to work. From what I am reading, it seems like Old Town Scottadale is the only place worth going out.

Are there any nightlife spots near Kierland/Paradise Valley?

Kierland Commons/Scottsdale Quarter have a bar scene that runs from sports bar to cocktail lounges, and the open-air upscale shopping attracts a lot of quality.

As far as clubs go, it's pretty thin. BLK Live might be about all there is, and the Blue Martini Lounge in Desert Ridge serves those suburbs up there but it's also known for being a cougar den.

Depending on how far north your job is, be aware it generally gets older, richer, and snobbier as you go on the Scottsdale side. (Desert Ridge in Phoenix is heavy on young families.) If you want to be close to the action, you might be best served finding a pad around McCormick Ranch or on the Shea Corridor where you can get on the 101 easily and still Uber back-and-forth to Old Town fast. There are some good deals around there because most of the commuter traffic wants to be closer to downtown Phoenix, not North Scottsdale.

I would suggest to live near the 51 highway and indian schoo roadl. Arcadia might actually be better to pick up girls for the past few years then old town. And in that location you’re also really close to old town. Also close to a new nightlife hub= central Phoenix.

And it’s easy for you to get up north to work on the 51.

This is a really good point, but goes back to the "how far north are we talking" question. It depends on your tolerance for commuting, but I'd rather take a taser dart to the tongue than drive Arcadia all the way to Desert Ridge (for example) round trip every day. Los Angeles types, on the other hand, consider that a blessing.

85254 is probably a good area for this kind of thing if you end up working on the far side of the 101, especially if you're buying. Scottsdale mailing address, Phoenix services, convenient to Kierland Commons and all the day-to-day amenities.

There are also some cool new places popping up around Bethany Home and 7th/16th Streets in Phoenix. Not clubs, but more craft cocktail and beer type bars. Might be a slightly older crowd compared to Old Town, though. One of my friends lives on 7th and Bethany and we've been out a few times around there. Good times.
