I'm thinking of doing Sao Paulo for some 2-3 months in March. I have a remote income and love working in cafes rather than at home. Is this the kind of city you can be digital nomadding peacefully or is there a huge risk of getting the laptop stolen or something? I don't have a Macbook or anything crazy like that and would bring a backup laptop with me for sure. But still I'd love to hear opinion of someone who lived there.

It's a good city to nomad from. Good infrastructure, high Internet speeds, lots of Airbnb offerings, lots of cafes, co-working spaces, etc. Your laptop will get stolen if you leave it around in a public space unattended, but you're not going to do that. Additionally, as long as you're staying in good neighbourhoods the chances of being mugged aren't high, but as always in South America you should take basic precautions. Learn as much Portuguese as you can before going because English levels are lower than you'd expect.

Great info on this thread! I’ll be in town at the end of the month until first week of April. Based on the tips here, Looks likes DEdge is a must on Saturday night. Friday - maybe Kia Ora to chill and listen to cover rock bands before going to the club. I’m into that scene as someone growing up in the 90s. PM me if anyone wants to hang out.

Hey Guys,

I'll be travelling to Sampa in less than 2 weeks and I would very much appreciate it if someone could give a little update about the best options for nightgame.
I still got to book a place to stay and I love to stay near the action. Hence I gotta figure out where most of the action is happening?

I've read Ringo's datasheet and previous posts about Vila Madalena / Pinheiros (mainstream, more bohemian), Itaim Bibi (upscale, probably snobby) and Centro (some good venues, less safe) but can't figure out what's best for me? All that matters for me is where girls are most easy / open minded to meet gringo's that don't speak Portuguese (*I know I need to learn some and it would massively improve my game...) Eventhough I prefer EDM and Hiphop and semi-nice venues I can entertain myself anywhere, whether it's a simple or chic place. It's all about having fun and meeting other people. I'm a little worried about girls being stuck in their social circle / cockblocking / no english.

So in which area I can find the most available girls up for night game?

Any advice would me much appreciated and I can assure you that I'll update the datasheet upon my arrival!

Some input would be much appreciated. The only criterea are wether the place is fun and the availability of gaming possibilities (for english speakers).
