Funky Villa is what comes to mind with regard to high class places for locals.

Well its a case of where you go. They all hang out in the exclusive thai venues and avoid foreigners, so not hard to find them or avoid them. You wont need to distinguish them in the club, they largely wont goto certain clubs and will stick to others.

Well, Funky Villa is higher class in that it's free from the scooter-racing motorcycle gangster wannabe dudes we Thais call "Dek Wan", but the clientele is hardly exclusively "elite". It's part of the normal clubs that upper middle class Thais go out to to have a good time, not hidden and anybody can walk in. Ironically their is no cover charge and the price is actually around the same as the hooker-filled clubs the sexpats have to pay to get in to get ripped off in. Most of the girls I approached there go to 2nd tier universities or have normal jobs, although they dress nicer. No diamond studded necklace wearing sports cars driving girls.

There are basically 2 types of clubs in Bangkok: ones catered to foreigners and the ones frequented by normal Thais. Obviously the first type is easier to pull from if you're a farang, unfortunately it's plagued with pros/semis so you'll have to do a little sorting. The girls I know would never go to those places for fear of being mistaken for a hooker (shock39, insomnia, qbar, mixx, bossy, spasso, etc). In the 2nd type the girls are just out for a good time and not looking specifically for a farang, so approaching them will be harder, coupled with the more conservative nature of Thai culture. Many times guys will peg the latter type as exclusive and snobbish because all of sudden they find themselves in a market where they are not in demand.

RCA is sort of an exception cause in the last few months the ratio of foreigners have substantially increased, undeterred by the double pricing.

Interesting, you say "we thai". Are you actually Thai or just living in Thailand?

In anycase, what places on the more exclusive end catering mainly to locals are there, names and location?

Anyone been to Glow Bar, near Soi Cowboy? I haven't been but I have them 'liked' on my FB page and the quality of girls looked decent from some of the pics I've seen. They claim to be BKKs only 'true underground club' or similar.

It's a religious holiday here today and all the bars have closed and the restaurants refusing to sell beer, I'm sure if I was in BKK this wouldn't be a problem and plenty of places would just be paying off the cops and selling it anyway but seems they take it seriously in CM.

Loved Glow, its a really cool house/techno club. It's a "real club" like the sort of place you'd find in London. Small though. Was mainly a mix of a cool farang crowd, guys and girls, some very hot, with a few thai girls - some obvious pros, some just there for a night out.

I'll check it out. I need to check out dozens of clubs still, just don't get round to it because there's so many girls wanting to meet / go on dates and I can't even keep up with meeting all of them. The pics made I saw made it look like primarly a Thai crowd but I guess anywhere near Soi Cowboy would never be farang free. Not sex tourist crowd then?

No, no sex tourists really. There was the odd lurking out-of-place old guy, but for the most part it was cool young people, really reminded me of a London house/techno crowd actually. They're definitely going for "real dance club" and it stands out compared to anywhere else here. First place I've seen hot white girls, haha. It is pretty small though.

@Vicious

Yes, I'm Thai. For the loud nightclubs I don't think there are super posh exclusive places like you might find in NYC. There's no place that's tough to get into. The "Gent clubs" here however are where some rich dudes hang out, as the prices can be astronomical. This might actually be a G-manifesto niche. Basically you sit at a table, and can buy drinks for the coyote dancers to sit and flirt with you. They dress sexily, but no nudity. Note that this is NOT like a go-go bar; the girls are not hookers and you cannot pay em to go home and have sex with you. The girls are usually university students with tight bods, looking to make a side income. The popular ones can easily make 100,000 baht a month; to give you a picture, a fresh engineering grad from a top Thai university is looking at 18,000 baht a month. The game is basically to seduce the girl to meet you outside of work, and then if your game is tight sex is a possibility. You'll be competing with other fat wallet patrons. An example is The Soprano House on Sukhumvit 26. To save costs you'll usually get a membership that costs from 10,000-30,000 which includes an amount of bottles. The good thing is you'll save the hassle of having to locate the hotties and be in a place where you can have them come to you. The bad thing is of course, the costs, and you'll probably be competing with no-game rich dudes who throw paper around.

Mixx is in the Intercontinental hotel, Ploenchit road. Funny thing most people don't know is that they have a limit of 7 ladyboys that can enter per night.

Spasso is in the Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel, almost opposite the Intercontinental.

Forgot where Bossy is.

These places open till early morning, and all have freelancers. Again, use the Golden rule I posted on the first page.

No, it's a Nationwide enforcement. No sale of alcohol, funnily the hotels get an exception. You can actually use it to your advantage, where the only place to get alcohol is your apartment/hotel....

I know a freelancer / pro a mile off, so no worries there. Are these places usually busy most nights of the week and are they good fun? Usually the places full of pros etc are the craziest places and the most fun as those girls are much less reserved than normal Thai girls.

Cheers for that. Never seen it before but when I tried to go to Spicy not so long ago it was closed and the police outside. Taxi driver said he knew a better place and led me into this unmarked building up a soi, on entering you immediately walked into the toilets and had to go past the urinals to get into the bar. Went into an empty bar with leather couches bar a row of woman lined up on one wall. A brothel. Was 3000B for a girl and all you got was a massage and a fuck in the backroom, not to take her home for the night. The girls weren't particularly stunning or high class looking, seemed an extorinate price for Thailand. I've never bought a girl there or anywhere but was under the impression 1000B was about right for a girl for the night. Unrelared story really but I thought I'd share.

Which are top 5 clubs for hottest girls?

Can someone break this down?

I will assume you mean locals and non-pros

- Thong Lo - Ekkamai area - 4-5 clubs right next to each other catering to rich thais, Funky Villa seems to be the most popular
- RCA - about 10 clubs and smaller venues on the same street, quite a few hot girls, quite a few young foreigners in the bigger clubs (Route 66 and Slim/Flix)
- Ratchada - another area with a few big clubs not far from RCA, only Thais here from what I've seen
- Sukhumvit Soi 11 - right in the middle of the sex tourist/expat districts but this street looks quite good with a lot of good places (Q Bar, Bed, Climax, although expect to get some pros). One place I like is a small side street with a cool outdoor bar (Cheap Charlies) and about 4-5 restaurants with different specifics (spanish, mexican, indian)
- Narz near soi 23 and the nearby Glow (many foreign girls), although you should try these two only in the weekend, whenever I've been during the week it was incredibly empty (<10 people)

I have been here for about 3 months and will bust out a huge datasheet when I have time.
The problem with a lot of the super hot girls is that they are a lot in the sex industry as they can make huge amounts of money there from the chumps, some can make 2-3k baht a night just dancing in the go-go and not even going home with anyone, a lot of the best ones work in thai-only estabishments.

Bed Supperclub wouldn't be in your top 5?

Bed is on soi 11, close to Q Bar and Climax...it is marketed as pretty much the most expensive and exclusive club in Bangkok but I don't like it so much.
Problem is that it is very small and can sometimes get crowded, also a lot of people who just come to see the club as opposed to regulars who go there often so the atmosphere is not great, a bunch of people just standing and looking around and not having any fun.

Good feedback.

If you had to pick an area or better yet a hotel with the best logistics for swooping girls (ie real close to best clubs), which one would you pick?

Not sure about a hotel since I live in a serviced apartment but the Asok area would be pretty good, it's near Soi 11 (Bed, Q Bar etc) and Soi 23 (Narz, Glow, Soi Cowboy just for fun), also has good connection to the BTS (Thong Lo 2 stations away) and the MRT (goes to RCA/Ratchada) although taxis are cheap in Bangkok and not much traffic at night. There's also a brand new shopping mall right at the intersection (Terminal 21).

Be aware though that this area is extremely popular with foreigners of the sex tourist variety, but that also means that there are dozens of very good hotels to choose from. Tai Pan Hotel seems to get good reviews in the area.

Location logistics are not much of a problem in Bangkok, however a bigger problem is getting a girl to leave her friends. If you manage that she will probably go with you anywhere as long as it's not extremely far away.

Also staying in a hotel will probably harm you since you can't pretend that you live here. A lot of the girls will ask you from the start where do you live and what do you do in Bangkok, and staying alone in a hotel just screams of sex tourist.

Good tips.

If you went for two weeks, would you stay in an apartment (having never been there before)?

If so, which apartments for 2 weeks?

G, I would get a place off airbnb.com which is in Thong Lo. Girls will be much more comfortable going to an apartment than to a hotel.

Thong Lo is where most of the upscale clubs are and where the HiSo girls hang. This is the trendy area of BKK. My friend lived there and loved it. You also have the BTS right there so easy to get around. If you can't find a place on Thong Lo, them check Asok and Ekkamai as mentioned.
