Super Choice for starting a thread !

Anything Electronic/Progressive along with Hip-Hop would be great.

I tend to change my playlist every week.

Old Metallica
Origin
Techno9
Flo-Rida
Breaking Benjamin
David Guetta

This works perfectly for me

Newest Zyzz R.I.P. Mix; he's what motivated me to really get into lifting. Good if you're into trance.

Hit The Gym is obligatory.

And mostly just various hardcore bands like Have Heart and Ceremony.

C'mon, you guys seriously need to step up your game.

Personally, I find most rock and metal to be shit for workout music, because they have no rhythm. I like trance with vocals, and some rap.

Anyone have a good tool for music discovery, specifically trance? I've used Slacker radio, having trouble finding a good tool.

Bolded part is completely untrue first of all. And why do I need 'rhythm' to lift weights? Am I dancing while doing my bench press?

A lot of metal and rock is aggressive and pulsing, which gets adrenaline pumping. A lot of the rap/hip-hop stuff sucks the energy out of me and puts me to sleep. But whatever works for you.

There's a lot of really solid workout/motivational mixes on 8tracks. One of my favorites: http://8tracks.com/bobmaucher/you-re-so-...onstrating

I love mixing in the motivational speeches with my normal workout tracks.

Cool thread, I want more ideas on this!

Any electronica?

I'm looking for testosterone-ridden music. I like metal as well.

The album Cross by Justice. Probably the only time I ever enjoy doing cardio.

Dubstep is all I have on my iPod. Everytime the drop kicks in, I get motivated to lift up those 15 pounds.

Nope.

I enjoy mixes from British DJ Jaguar Skills. He applies a 70's retro-ninja style to old-skool and modern hip hop. His mixes help keep me amped and motivated. I have 1.3 days worth of his mixes on my ipod and I just shuffle through that. Just youtube him or check out the mixes he posts on soundcloud; most of them can be found there and are free [Image: smile.gif]

Death metal and hardcore are my favorites for lifting.

Here's a couple of my lifting playlists:
