You don't need a hotel for the hour, you just need a budget hotel/b&b inn for the night and there are plenty of those in the price range I specified. If you want to leave after an hour, then just leave.

Reviving this thread but need help from all of you experienced bali party goers. I'll be going to Bali in April with a group of friends and would probably be renting one of the villas there. Here's my problem, my group of friends have girls and the guys are mostly beta dudes who wouldn't be looking to get laid. I could go out to the clubs every night but I'm not sure if my friends are okay with me bringing a girl back. I'm swinging towards a 'No' so I want to get a feel on what are my options if I do pick up in the clubs in Bali but have fucked up logistics? Thanks!

What dates are you going? I might be over there at that time.

If I were you, I wouldn't even bother staying in the same villa with them. Get your own hotel room, hang out with your beta friends during the day, then go hunting for girls alone if your friends don't support you. What's your budget like? Can you afford $40/day on a hotel? If so, pm me and i'll give you the name of a nice hotel, very good location in Seminyak.

That sounds like a great offer man, would appreciate it if you would send it to me. Its our first trip to Bali and its kinda like a grad trip so we already booked the villa where we're staying. I'm okay with having the 40/day villa on the sidelines, I can afford it so I'll definitely consider it. Thanks in advance!

The Harmony Hotel in Seminyak is a decent option. About $25/night and close to the action.

Youre paying your share of the house no? Why not be more assertive with your friends and do whatever you want?

Very lame of them not to "accept" you bringing a girl over. And beta of you to accept that from them

CodyB, I'll be there from 24th to 28th April.

Beirut, I think if we all had individual rooms, they wouldn't really mind but we're sharing rooms meaning 2 to a room. Sorry if I didn't mentioned that earlier.

The Australian government just issued a travel warning for Bali due to "terrorists being in advanced stages of an attack". 99% sure it's more bullshit to try and keep tourism within this boring, over-regulated country and deter Australians from having anything that even resembles fun overseas. Anyone know anything?

Bali, Indonesia - Trip report/Mini-data sheet

I have just been to Seminyak last week, "Hey Boss, taxi!? You want taxi?! Where you go?!!"

My account has just been activated so it's the first post for BossHogg. I had a pretty good time there, despite it being low season, I think, so I will share what it's like there now. Clubs mentioned by Irish are still getting folk in at the weekends but are dead or are closed during the week, apart from Favela, which is absolutely packed every night. It's a bit of a scruffy place and it's pitch black there a lot of the time, then they put on the house lights and I think it's last orders but then they go off again. There's a security guard who shines a green laser pointer at peoples faces, like one of those things that can bring down aeroplanes. I arrived on Saturday night and had a chance to go out and look around but nothing much more. I went out again on Sunday and found a local girl with big fake titties in Favela. After that, we went to Pyramid, which was pretty quiet but it's a really nice club. Really clean and the music was like classic house/ funky house. Then we went back to my hotel.

I recommend the hotel I stayed at. It is called the Savvoya Resort. It's got everything you need and is only about 300,000 per night. Aircon, decent pool, very clean, very good staff. Boobsie McFake-Tits ended up practically living there for the next two days and the staff didn't care or ask for any extra payment. Lol, she was even going for a swim while I did some work and asking the staff for a beach towel.

Hu'u is now called Gatsby, I think. Maria Magdelena is gone now. The bar directly opposite Mint is called Saigon and there is another cool looking bar down the street a bit called Dash. Big Boobs tells me you can actually keep going after Pyramid closes by going to the late late late bar called DJ Club or something. It goes from 6am to 12 noon.

Now, I am in Gili T. It is an ok place to chill out but very much the tan and flip-flops brigade. There's always something on and the live bands are very good. Particularly busy nights here are Mondays and Wednesdays, for some reason. Last night I thought I'd pulled again but she wasn't up for going to my bungalow. I was licking her tits on the beach and she said, "Bite it! Bite it hard!!" lol. Then today, some people told me the guy I'd pulled her away from was her husband. Irish, you'd hate it here, no one wears heels, some of them just go out bare-foot. Most of them are covered in mosquito bites.

Btw, I will head back to Bali for this coming weekend then go to Ho Chi-Minh and probably then back to Bangkok. Would definitely appreciate some wings if anyone is about. Oh, and I didn't choose my username cos I'm fat, lol. I am not fat.

I'm here in Bali for the next week or two, if anyone else is around PM me and lets get some bintangs.

Bali is interesting so far - I know this is low-ish season right now due to the weather but:
I'm not staying in Kuta/Seminyak, but in the beach a bit more north like 15 mins from there.

- Beautiful scenery
- Less number of the average "slumming it" backpacker english-speaking whales that think they are hot shit.
- Decent amount of hot Scandinavians/Russian girls, however they are a tough nut to crack.
- Competition is relatively tough, with tall and jacked aussies that are very persistent and have been here for a while. However, since they are mostly one-dimensional, I'm not worried about it.
- After the beach clubs close, everyone drives their scooter home drunk. Hence lots of gringos around in crutches and bandages.

Yes the "beach 15 minutes north of there" is Canggu. Everyone of my (boring, non-player) friends told me I couldn't even consider staying anywhere else. I regretted it. If you are a young single male traveler by yourself you are gonna be really bored. I stayed there and I ended up driving my scooter to Seminyak or Kuta every night to meet dates. The picking in Canggu were super slim, 75% eat pray love yoga types that were there to get away from men not meet them and the other 25% were offish european surfer chicks who made it their goal to not speak to anyone other than the person they traveled with the entire time. (you guys know the type)

The few watering holes in the area always had a 3 to 1 bro to girl ratio and all the dudes were super good looking and jacked it was a game I couldn't win.

Kuta is also a dump but Seminyak is actually pretty upscale. If I had to do Bali again next time I would stay in a nice upscale restore in Seminyak. If you want to get away from the crowds Canggu is 15 minutes by scooter and if you want to jump into the party Kuta is 15 minutes away.

If your goal or at least one of your goals is to get laid a lot, I would not recommend Canggu as there are few girls to meet there and all your tinder dates are going to be in Seminyak and Kuta.

Or you could be smart and spend a week or two in Java (Jakarta, Subaraya) and bring a girl with you to Canggu then you get the best of both worlds.

The surf in Canggu is fantastic. Its worth a visit.

Canggu is great if your coming with a chick, or if you want to be somewhere super quiet, don't want to date girls for a week or two, and really into surf and or yoga.

I felt, for me IMO, Seminyak is the best option, its not as crazy as Kuta but your not stuck in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of eat-pray-love "enlightened" types that are gonna drive you crazy there.

Yep 100% agree with LatinoHeat.

I'm now in Seminyak and this is where its at, lots of cool places and more of a mix of people.
Still a lot of couples, but Kuta is 10 mins south if you really want to pick up a drunk white girl, and for meeting local indonesian hotties this is a good area logistically.

I will be going to Ubud soon, hopefully it's not all just eat pray love types. Unless they are of the "eat pray... and get drunk and get laid" variety [Image: banana.gif]

And hey if anyone is around hit me up!

Arrived in Bali last night. I’ve only been around Kuta at this stage but there doesn’t seem like much quality at all. I’ve seen a few cute girls, mostly with boyfriends, but the nightlife last night was full of Aussie/Brit sluts that I would hesitate to rate a 5, and of course Indonesian hookers. May need to pay Seminyak a visit very soon.

Anyone have updated info on best options for a Thursday and Sunday night? Friday/Saturday should be easy.

Only decent club at the moment is Jenja imo. But probably going to be quiet Thursday given it’s out of season. Friday and Saturday should be busier.

La favela has long since been destroyed by annoying tourists and bogans. But in quiet season it might be worth a try. Apparently the champagne bar across the road has opened an upstairs club also. Worth a look, but if the place is still crawling with idiot tourists don’t bother

Mirror club is another option but is quite Chinese. Not a huge fan.

jenja has alot of aussie teenagers when i went there few weeks ago. not sure the situation now. it could be good on a saturday.

favela had changed management, its built now on extended layout, and the club has expanded significantly. less crowded as a result, however the first floor is still very crowded.

champagne bar has an older crowed. not my cup of tea, that and the fact that you gotta filter through tons of p4p as people are supposedly 'wealthy' there.. haha

you best bet is probably...

gilis.

party everyday there.

There will be a few but Bali is basically Australians and that is the worst time of the year because it's winter escape time.

If you want the Europeans then head to the Gili Islands. Heck, head to them regardless. Far less Australian bogan trash and much more fun on the nightlife front without the P4P everywhere. Logistically it's much easier also.

Get a nice villa and you're golden.

I don't understand all the hate on Bali here at all. I've been twice this year for a month each. I love it there. But I guess it all depends on what you're looking to do.

If you're looking to game normal local chicks, out at bars/clubs etc. this isn't really the place..... I mean yeah, they are out there, but not nearly as common as other places in SEA like Thailand. Your best bet is arranging meetups on Tinder. However, even though I was pipelining on Tinder, I matched with a LOT of chicks, but I mean it when I say that probably 75% of the chicks on there are pro's, 20% are ladyboys, and 5% are normal. And of those normal ones, they may just seem normal but they even turn out to be a damn pro. This was my experience along with a friends' experience but who knows, yours may be different.

I'm going back there for new years eve actually.

I 100% agree with LatinoHeat. Seminyak is the place to be for accommodation. You can go to Canggu from there... It's like a 20 minute scooter ride there. Canggu is basically full of European tourists and backpackers. You can definitely get a bang there if you're out to get it. However as mentioned above, it can get fucking boring. There is one bar called Old Man's that's slammed pack on I believe Wednesdays and Sundays, and there is a beach bar that is OK but nothing special. Honestly, Seminyak is 99999x better.

Then - if you want to go get wasted and dance the night away in Kuta, at skygarden you can. If you do want to go there, be warned there is a entrance fee. On weekdays it's like $11 to get inside. On weekends it's like $15. If you go there, your best bet is to get there early at like 7pm. You can pay like $8 for a buffet. What comes with the buffet? A lot of good food, and drinks are free until 9. SO you can get drunk in that time, only downside is having to keep getting into a long line to get your next drink... but you can get 2 at a time which is nice. Again skygarden is if you're just looking to go get drunk and dance. You CAN pull regular indonesian / balinese chicks here, but you have to be on the hunt, and it's probably not worth the time as most chicks ya talk to are going to be pro's.

All in all - like I said, I love bali. It has a great beach vibe, beautiful scenery, etc.

Be sure to pipeline on Tinder before you go.... and get on the other dating apps/sites as well. I didn't check out the other ones but I've heard of people pulling from ones outside of Tinder.

Oh yeah - if you plan to go, when you're walking down small streets, don't be walking around with your phone out. Every day, and I mean... EVERY DAY peoples phones are taken right out of their hands by a local scootering off fast enough that you don't even really get to see his face

Too Long Didn't Read:
Canggu - Full of european travelers/backpackers. Cheaper to stay here, hence why so many foreigners are here. The europeans also know it's not ran down by drunken auzzies. It can be Boring. Kinda far out (however I kinda enjoy the bike ride out there) Couple OK bars but that's about it.
Seminyak - STAY HERE... Has a few nice bars/clubs. Has good little bars and restaurants on the beach. Little more expensive. It's inbetween Canggu and Kuta, so that's another plus.
Kuta - Pretty much the reason people go here is for Sky Garden night club. It's fun, decent music, not many normal chicks to pull, mostly pro's all over the place.

Tinder - Mostly pros and lady boys, so be sure to pipeline. And also be sure to check out other dating sites/apps, as we all know pros love tinder.

any questions lemme know.

Gill is way too polluted now, trash everywhere. However if your goal is to party it is great, especially if you are young and love the backpacker crowd.
Canggu has a hippie eat pray love vibe, but there are tons of European young tourists. If you like blondes, that’s the place to be.
