Regarding PH-Drooftop, how long into the season do people still go there? I will be in New York in November.

Will have my own talent with me at the time but I'm shooting for a 3-some.

Fall is the busiest time of year for "high-end" nightclubs in NYC.

During the summer, wealthy people based in NYC are either in the Hamptons or abroad. The summer has more people leaving their apartments and more tourists visiting NYC, but the "big money" that nightclubs need just isn't there compared to the fall.

Fall also has a fresh flock of students and foreign girls moving here and getting turned out by nightlife, and usually a few new nightclubs opening.

I'm sure PH-D Rooftop will still be good in November, as will other venues in the area.

PhD will be crazier fall time than summer due to what other poster mentioned. Try to rack up in fall for the slow winter. Already on a slow wednesday seen micheal phelps and sameday some dude popped atleast 10 champagne bottles. This type of stuff draws all these women.

The thing about PhD is that due to its 400 or so capacity they aren't as tough on the door but still have the same hosts who bring in lots of models and hotties. So what happens is you have random good looking women of all types. Lots of older attractive women too.

Also go to coffee shop pre or post club. Yes the place is called coffee shop. It is across from union square park.

I would rather bang my head violently on the ground than deal with the "service" at coffee shop. Yes, I know you're a struggling actor/musician who feels like you're entitled to the world, yet can't make rent money in your shithole LES apartment, as a result you're working as a waiter/waitress, and therefore your brooding anger has to be taken out on customers that "you're better than", but for fucks sake serve me a drink and food like a human being.

My guess is that it's gotta be fuckin' difficult. Especially if you're on a tight budget. I believe these are some of the "see & see be seen" type venues of NYC.

The fake it til you make it route can apply as well. Look the part and play the part. Bag some dimes and try your luck walking to the door with them. Etc.

Weekdays it's easier and I prefer the crowd. Don't really go to spots on weekends unless friend is djing or bday party or some shit.

Ok, NYC heads, we've talked about the best places to MEET girls, now let's change the conversation a bit and talk about the best places to take girls out on dates, etc.


The kicker - it needs to be as cheap/free as possible. I need to either get laid from this date, or minimize the wallet rape if the getting laid part is unsuccessful. So let's share


Thursday evening dates - I like to take girls Chelsea gallery hopping (free, with free alcohol). There are a few galleries that are consistently better than others (601 West 26 Street has a few galleries that are on high floors and have incredible balconies. Bitches love balconies). The downside of taking a girl gallery hopping is that its from 6-8, so girls tend to get hungry at the time, and its really hard to feed a bitch without coming across as a vagina. So I'm open to suggestions.

Friday - same deal as above, but East Village has the same exact gallery shows on most Fridays. However, the food problem is solved by Sushi Lounge on St Marks and Ave A. Dinner for 2 there, on a bad night, will cost 30 dollars (including hot sake to keep everyone nice and toasty)


As you can see - the downside to the art gallery stuff is that its early and bitches want to eat (spend your money). So date ideas - lets share em!

EDIT: Tuesday night is perfect for an east village "drinks" meetup once you find out a girls schedule. Invite a girl out after 9 and food is not even remotely considered. "Stanley Cup Sized" half priced margaritas are at Benny's Burritos at 10. Free vodka and "weird goth DJs" at Happy Ending at 11.

EDIT2: a good non wallet raping option is to always have some groupons purchased here and there. Then, when nearby or whatever, you can say "listen, I got this living social deal that I bought ages ago and it expires in a week, and I hate to see it go to waste... ever try mexi-chinese fusion?"

Ok homies, first of all, my apologies for not bringing this to your attention sooner, but I've been busy and I wanted to test this strategy out first.


As we know - NYC attracts people from all walks of life.
As we know - traveling to a new place sometimes makes us homesick
As we know - NYC has something for everyone if you look for it.

I realized the power of these places after I went to a bar that caters to University of Florida fans. Most of the girls are barely removed from college, without any real establishments in NYC yet, so these bars are one of the few places they can cut loose with people they "know". Plus - there are usually game day drink specials so your hunting won't cost you too much money.


Plus, blonde SEC chicks are super hot. That was my motivation entirely.

The downside is of course football season just ended, and you have to sit through football (im not a fan of college football AT ALL), but you take the good with the bad. Plus - the NCAA basketball tournament provides similar opportunities as well.

Ok guys, another day, another post about my discoveries.

I've been trying to break out of the NYC nightlife scene that I seemed "stuck" in. Sausagefest Irish bars, unattractive "young professionals" and expensive, hard to get into "exclusive" nightlife was wearing me out, so I decided to try to die into the hipster scene.

I'm not an expert in it yet by any means, but here are 2 things I found:

1. The House of Yes (https://www.facebook.com/houseofyes) is a venue that consistently seems to throw excellent parties. The venue itself is a small section of a warehouse, the parties usually have a cover and cash only drinks, but there is 0 pretentiousness and lots of incredibly pretty artsy chicks. The Vitamin B party happens the first Friday of every month and is always lots of fun (https://www.facebook.com/events/388796971214348/). Highly recommended, never had a bad time there

2. http://nonsensenyc.com/ provides a weekly list (released of Fridays) of cool, unique, artsy and all around fun shit to do in NYC for the next week. It has never disappointed me. All NYC ers that love non mainstream fun should subscribe.



My next project is picking apart http://www.residentadvisor.net/ - its a site for fans of dance music, but their venues vary from large clubs, to small clubs, cheap and expensive. A girl at the last House of Yes event I went to told me about it, so there could be something there. Yes, hipsters and dance music fans DO mix in weird weird ways.
