Ok so I did read all of the NYC threads on this forum and took down notes, but in every thread someone stated that the nightlife in NYC is everchanging. In just a couple months, what was hot back then could very well be shit now. So I thought a new thread would be helpful for me since I am going for a few days in December, and I haven't been to NYC in pretty long time.

Will be going for a few days/weekend in mid December. Just myself and a good friend of mine. We have game and we love clubbing and good food. We aren't into the younger 18-21 year old hipster girls, we are more into the yuppies, low 20s, stilettos and hot dresses model girls (as I'm sure most of you are too haha). So no grimy beat up bars please!

We are not going with stacks of cash, and yes I know that's not very smart especially in NYC, but we are masters students currently so we are on a budget!

So far, my list includes:
-The standard's Boom Boom Room, Cielo, Kiss n Fly (these I hear are more upscale, but the hottest girls... can i get more info on these please?)
-Brass Monkey
-Bar 675, Gaslamp, Tenjune
-Gansevoort Hotel bar
-Solas, Porch, Pianos (how are these?)
-The Globe (how is this?)
-Kenmare, Soho, Jane Hotel bars

If someone can hook me up with recommendations and info on the venues I listed, as well as a list of restaurants we should eat at, I'd reaaaally appreciate it!! Any info/tips/recommendations are welcome. Thanks again!

Looks like you might want to hit the epicenter of the club scene in the "Meatpacking District" / "Chelsea" area. I hear 1 Oak is one of the hardest clubs to get into, but once inside such a place, the girl / guy ratio will probably work out in your favor.

A number of the bars that you've listed are in the Meatpacking district which is loaded with good eats(kinda pricey though). STK/Ajna/Old Homestead steakhouse. Soho is another area with great restaurants. Try David Burke Kitchen if you're out there. Some girl made me go a while back and it was delicious.

If you're on a budget, hate bitchy girls, or want to avoid REALLY long lines with asshole bouncers and cover fees, stay away from Gansevoort, Tenjune, and most likely Kiss & Fly, though I hesitate with Kiss & Fly since I've seen some pretty slutty def girls there. In short, these places do have pretty attractive girls, but the trouble of getting there and the attitude/logistics involved in taking them home is absolutely not worth it. I've been to each of these places at least twice but also have brothers and friends who've had similar experiences. If you're on a budget for food, I recommend you stop for just sushi at some places around midtown and or 9th street village. Also, try out Apotheke bar and the restaurants "Freeman's," "Prime Meats," and "iTrulli"

Solid tips, though the cocktails at Apotheke were $20 a pop last time I was there. Not great as a pickup venue, quite small.

Freeman's is great for food. The owners opened another place in the East Village called Peels which is even better in my opinion.

As for Gansevoort & Tenjune - there's a lot of attitude for you to deal with there. I'd go for lower key places, but that's just my personal style.

Walking down NYC any given day, and you can see this is very plausible.

This is a very true statistic, but nonetheless NYC girls remain some of the toughest cookies to crack. They put on a bigger front than their counterparts in many other US and world cities for various reasons. This definitely not mean that a lay with an NY chick is unattainable. I think it just means you need to pick your targets wisely and have some really tight game on deck. After all, the city's sheer diversity & number of transients, tourists, bridge & tunnelers constantly entering the city creates a never-ending stream of targets for the avid practitioner of game.

Piano's is a good spot, it's a cool place to hear artists that are on the come up or already established. You'll hear anything from indie rock to detroit hip hop here.

You say your not into hipster girls but piano's is located in hipster ground zero. It's not bad though (area was much better in the past imo). You will find the women in the stiletto's around here but they look much better the further west you head.

if your in this vicinity you'll find a good deal of 18-21's because NYU/The New School are right over there especially if your out there in day time. At night you get a lot of people coming from elsewhere in the vicinity.

I hear so much shit about NY that is difficult to understand. Some say that NY is real easy to crack, some say that it is difficult.

The problem with NY is that there isn't really a middle ground...

LOW LEVEL, places like 675, brass monkey, gaslight, etc. You'll get in no problem BUT the quality that you find is so random favoring on the average to horrible scale.

**MID-LEVEL, places like tenjune, kiss n fly, griffin, greenhouse, etc. You'll have to be a cool ass guy going solo BUT will get cover charged. Other than that you'll need to be with atleast average girls and still have to pay cover. (Knowing a promoter will generally guarantee you an in if your with girls)

TIP: Meet girls who are walking towards a club, talk to them, find out if there on a list and ask to join since your not from these parts. Ask her what the promoter name is, go to the front with them and say your joining "xyz" If they don't know anyone, then mid-way stop another group asking if they're on a list and ask what the list name is so you and the 1st group can go use it.

***HIGH-LEVEL, places like PH-D, (Dream Hotel Downtown) Avenue, 1oak, Lavo, SL, etc. There is no cover BUT you have to be with above average chicks. These are generally the spots that most of the above average women go too.

TIP: Do daygame, meeting some hotties and screen for plans on partying and where they generally go. Ask her to take you because you want to experience it. Depending on your skills, let her know you'll have more girl friends rolling with you. When the day comes bring out all the girls you met. Even if the chick who was going to take you FLAKES, if you go up with 3-5 above average women you will be let in regardless if you know someone or not.

****TOP-LEVEL, places like Boom Boom Room, Provocateur, Electric Room, (basement of dream hotel) etc. These are the toughest doors at the moment. In order to get into provocateur YOU MUST roll up with tall hotties and KNOW someone. I know playboy models who were 5'3 that got in only because they're were still 4-5 tall women rolling in that group. Inside, there is NOTHING below an 8.

TIP: Best bet is to find a rich guy who frequents those places, generally they go to trendy or expensive restaurants, so if your into dining, make sure you socialize alot and always screening to see where they go at night to get any idea of there connections.

Quick Weekly Rundown
MONDAY
- *Stanton Social (I shouldn't even be mentioning this but at 1130 to 1am its GOOD because there is sort of a pre-game party run by good promoters, no cover, no door)
- *Le Souk (I've never actually been but lots of people go there)
- **Greenhouse NO COVER NIGHT (You might not find girls on the street this night, so daygame)
- **Ph-D (Its easy on monday because its not the REAL Ph-D nights, still need to know someone BUT if you arrive early should be easy since its always abit slow)
- ***Avenue (Great, Great, Great on monday)
- ***Butter (Great, Great, Great)
- ****Catch (If you met models in daytime GO HERE, loads of models)

TUESDAY
- **The Box (I'm always told to come check it out, door isn't as tough as it used to be but still quality
- **Kiss N Fly COVER (There "Tuesday Baby Tuesday" party is probably the best mid-level party)
- ****Ph-D (This night, packed with MODELS)
- ***1oak (Around 3-330, everyone goes there so always prep to bounce with a few above average women, door is NOT as tough as it used to be by far)
- ***SL, (IMO this place is one of the best high end spots since the owner loves tall model-types so you'll see more of those than any of the other tough clubs)
- ***Riff Raff, (There tuesday party is real good, lots of hotties and amazing ratio)

WEDNESDAY
- **Griffin NO COVER (Pretty decent party for a mid-level club,)
- **Greenhouse (Hip Hop Night)
- ***Avenue (Will see some models)
- ***Ph-D (So I'm told this is there best night)

THURSDAY
- **Tenjune COVER (For some reason, they got good promoters on this night and it results in a pretty decent party)
- ***Lavo (I've heard cover charge is 30/40, I've never paid cover charge though...Bring above average girls, they always have big djs on thursdays...Tiesto this dec 1st)
- ***1oak (You'll see some models)
- ***Riff Raff (They generally have one of my fav djs there, so gotta be a good party hahaha)

FRIDAY/SATURDAY (Honestly, any of the places mentioned will be good)
- ***Jane Hotel on FRIDAY (Lots of classy hipster chicks)
- *Gansevoort Park on FRIDAY (Ironically, if you show up early you'll get in and there is a decent crowd)
- ***Ph-D on SATURDAY (Hot, Hot, Hot Crowd)

SUNDAY
- **RDV or SL or 1oak (They're all 1off nights but due to limited options anyone who goes out will go there for the most part)
- ****The Darby (There best night SUPERMODELS

NOTE: On saturday at Dream Downtown, (Ph-D) inside the hotel its busy because on the first floor they got a DJ and lounge areas. You could technically meet lots of women right there without ever going on roof.

P.S...I don't talk about Boom Boom Room, Provocateur, Mr H, Stash, The Darby, The Westway, WIP, Electric Room, etc because a traveller visiting NY will have a very hard time getting in unless they're connected. IMO, women wise Provocateur is by far the best venue with Ph-D coming 2nd and SL 3rd. Mr H used to have supermodels on monday but main guy left so I assume they weren't doing as good as expected. The Darby isn't as good as it should be with exception of sunday. (Each time I've been there its slow and dies out by 1am)

If you were in my shoes going to NYC from thursday morning to monday afternoon, what would you recommend for my buddy and I to hit up every one of those days based on all the info you gave me? We are 2 good looking dudes, but let's be safe and say we go to the doors without any girls. We are honestly going to nyc to see the good spots, not the shitty spots we can experience here in Toronto.

Provocateur, SL, ph-d, the darby, boom boom, 1oak, etc... all of those high end ones you mentioned seem like our kind of clubs.

I don't have exp with the other two venues, my knowledge of Piano's comes from actually doing/helping with a few performances put on there (but it is possible to have a wild night in that vicinity). As far as Pianos- it's a very good spot to pickup girls. You won't find models there, but there is usually a constant stream of new girls coming in. Gotta get there early though or make friends with the door guys.. after 11pm the line is a bitch... Lately Pianos has been a bit inconsistent in terms of girls, but it's still worth checking out.

What are the best spots to see during the day? So far we got: Soho, Empire state, Rockefeller, Central park, Times Square... anything else? I see a lot of pictures of new york and central park all in one picture, overlooking them both... where can we go and see that view from the top?

Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. it's a cool bridge, and there's also a lot of European tourists walking. Go to Union Square after 2pm (best place to day game, IMO). Check out St. Marks (Lots of Asian girls). Greenwich Village (Washington Square Park)- NYU students. 5th Ave/Central Park- (annoying tourists). The new World Trade Center is pretty cool. Times Square- (lots of tourist broads)

It's from a helicopter shot.

There are few tall buildings other than projects uptown but they won't give you that view at that alignment. It also looks like the original picture was taken from an elevated shot.

I'd say if you want to get a view like that where you can see uptown, downtown etc, go to top of the rock. You can schedule your visit ahead of time.
