I travel through Europe with Qantas Airlines, business class. A G like you flies with RyanAir, economy class? Are you serious? Did your account get hacked or something?

So you backtrack and find a year old thread and revive it to try and diss me?

Let's see if you fit the doubter/hater guy profile...

Yes, you do. You bring zero value and haven't dropped one data sheet.

Good luck with your miserable life skippy.

Alright now I have a question for every dork on here that seems to love to use my question about Ryanair as "evidence" that I don't know what I am talking about.

I was flying from Dublin to Santander, Spain last summer.

Ryanair is the only airline with direct flights between the two cities.

I am curious as to what everyone else would do?

Would you guys fly Dublin to Tokoyo to Santander to get on a higher end airline?

If I did that, would I be more legit?

Please tell me.

Little Marriot guy? Any suggestions?

By the way how was the moldy fruit plate and re-heated bacon and eggs at the Marriot Breakfast?

Ive never had a problem with ryanaor.
Flown it about 4 times to far.
Yea..they nickel and dime you..if you let yourself be nickel and dime.
You can pack shoes, shirts, pants, suit jacket ect in a carry on and not get charged more that 20eur for my ticket.

I don't see why someone would insult over flying a cheap airline..you stay stacked by not blowing money all the time.

And I think the complaining about ryanair being out of the city is sometimes bullshit also.
The US is so big..most people have to ride a decent way to the airport anyway.
Living outside atlanta still take 45 minutes to get in..and worse if theres traffic.
Taking a bus or train and hour to the airport doesnt seem that bad to me.

Hell, I flew into budapest just last week for 20 dollars..the international airport is an hour away.
Do people expect to get off the plane and walk across the street to their hotel every time?

So much shit talked about Ryanair on here, total snobbery. Yes they are a basic airline and that music when you land is cringy but only a fool pays triple the price to fly to the same location in an equally uncomfortable seat simply because the plane is painted with a different livery. Someone suggested only low class types fly RyanAir which is utter bollocks. My daughter's stepfather owns one of Russia's most well known luxury brand companies,is minted beyond belief and yet if he's flying in Europe and the schedule is right he'll go RyanAir without a second thought. Why when he can fly private if he wants? Because he is secure enough to not be arsed about proving shit to anyone.

Yeah, I don't get it either.

I mean we always talk about getting better deals on everything on here.

People talk about hotel deals, apartment deals, hostels, getting clothes cheaper, avoiding cover for bars, getting free drinks by locking down owners and bartenders right?

Then I have one question about Ryanair, that is the only airline that flew direct between the two cities I was going to, and everyone starts spazzing out.

Like this was the moment they have all been waiting for to tear me down.

What gives?

I'm not getting into your spat G (which I think you are above), but as a Marriott Gold member (50+ nights/year) I have to say that while nowhere near Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental - Marriott has some of the best properties of the major hotel chains.

The last year they've added a number of European historical hotels, the US Southern Gaylord resorts as well as beefing up their Autograph collection of hotels which now includes among others The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. And if we want to talk true transcendental class Ritz-Carlton is also a part of Marriott.

unrelated...
Personally, I don't always fly Business/First Class - but when I do, I don't pay for it.

I'm not at all trying to enter some weird ass Ryanair dispute.

Since some of you know a lot about this airline, please tell me why it's so cheap. I just checked prices from London to Rome and it's $36 dollars. That's 900 miles.

How does Ryanair stay in business? Even if the plane is jammed full of people how do they cover the gas?

I did not read the terms and conditions, I just checked the box. Do I have to blow the pilot or something?

Hawaiian Airlines charges $89 from Oahu to Maui EACH WAY and that flight takes 20 minutes.

Please tell me what's up.

Aloha!

They live on hidden fees.

Before you're at ticketing that price you quoted will be 3x with added tariffs and charges. When you're at the airport they'll throw a hefty charge for any bags. I you forgot to check in online that's another charge. You standard size bag doesn't fit the very excentric Ryanair measurements? that's another charge, etc etc

Their game is to fleece you at every opportunity.

I was more referring how that guy on here was trying to "trump" me by pulling out the "Marriot card".

Which is a pretty weak and weesh move as we all can agree on.

And he ruined himself with that one. That's all.

Trust me.

I think might be the strangest thing I have ever seen on this forum.

I take a direct flight from Dublin to Santander and every dork on the forum comes out of the closet to crucify me.

There are some real International Playboy haters out there.

Hell, I was just trying to get a little northern Spain surf in:

And swoop some topless girls.

I am just trying to get from point A to point B.

I mean what is the crime in that?

Please advise?

Holy crap.

Check out the Ryanair list of fees:
http://www.ryanair.com/en/terms-and-cond...ableoffees

The way I figure this my $36 dollar ticket will actually be close to $200. If I got a surfboard in a bag I wonder how that gets charged since they got the sports equipment fee?

What about the musical instrument fee? What if somebody carries on a Ukulele in a little box? Would you just get the carry on fee or would they tack on the musical instrument fee?

I think youre exaggerating a little.
They tack on tax like 12 dollars in tax to the flight. which probably will be half to triple the ticket price. But if you look at it in the way that..doubling a 15 dollar ticket isnt that much.. You arent losing anything
The website has a list of the fee's that can be charged.

yea..if you are dumb and dont print your ticket at home or try to bring in a last back..youll get charged.
but Ive packed full rucksacks and didnt even have them weighed.

all the places ive flown through with ryanair are super relaxed on the carryon
even if its to heavy..just take some shit out and wear it on the plane.

At the end of the day..if you are trying to use ryanair to move a bunch of luggage across the world..its no cheaper than any other airline.
If youre taking a carry on with a weeks worth of stuff then there's no better deal

These are my kind of airlines. I try to travel with only a carry-on roller suitcase and a backpack. I don't mind getting dinged for an aisle or exit row seat if the base fare is incredibly low. For the budget airlines I can understand how they may want to hit you for a carry-on, though I don't necessarily like it. It's bush league for the major carriers to follow suit though. They let the smaller carriers make the first move, see how it goes over, then follow suit. It's legit to charge for overweight or an incredible amount of bags, because that's weight that factors heavily in fuel costs. I love flying budget because I'm low maintenance. I don't need food, blankets, pillows or any of the other extras. I can handle that stuff myself. All I need is for them not to crash. Also, these smaller carriers (like JetBlue in the US) handle some of those cities and/or routes that the larger carriers don't, and another reason why their costs are lower is because they fly to the secondary airports where the gate fees are lower.

I made some mistakes in my post..I meant to say ... last minute bag..youll get charge.

Ryanair only charges you for a carry on if its more than 22 pounds.
Otherwise the carry on is free

Did you know that, at some point in the '70s, Southwest Airlines' motto was "Sex sells seats," and the flight attendants wore white go-go boots and orange hot pants, and served sexy cocktails like Love Potion and Passion Punch? I didn't, until yesterday. How fun, in a problematic kind of way! I really hope Mad Men keeps going to at least 1972.

Little Marriot Guy-

Glad to see you came out of the closet again to sort of respond. Actually is was more of a half way gay response, which I expected.

Tell me, what was I supposed to do when Ryanair was the only airline offering direct flights?

Can you come up with 20 or 30 alternate itineraries for me?

Thanks.

How about instead of bringing up posts from a year ago to make a weak attempt at dissing me, actually bring some value to the forum?

It's guys like you that never bring any information.

Your worthless. But I am sure you already knew that.

Keep digging thru my archives of posts, I am sure you will find something equal as stupid to respond to from 2 or 3 years ago.

Nice life you have.

Now go back in the closet.

But here is the question for everyone:

Yes.

The sign of an alpha male is someone who has to make at least two connecting flights and pay three times more then necessary to get to their final destination. Flying directly and cheaply is totally beta as is banging a stewardess in the toilets. When flying from London to Paris I always go via La Paz.

You have to be more consistent with your post from last year.

You never did once mention anything about having only one choice (RyanAir) from Dublin to Santander. As a matter a fact, you actually said that you didn't mind sleeping on that budget plane and whether or not there're pigs and goats on it.

That's hardly a G's trait. The G's I know wears Brioni, Canali, and Kiton suits. They drive Ferrari and Lamborghini. The reason why you're getting so much heat is because you are held to higher standard since you self-proclaims that you're a G.

Like I said before, I am "For The People".

I also sleep hard when I am on an airplane. Actually, some of my best sleep is on an airplane. So it really doesn't matter to me what airline I fly. It could have pigs and goats on the plane and I would be out like Marvis Frazier when he fought Mike Tyson.

I have even thought of taking a flight on nights that I have a hard time crashing.

"PLus Ryanair always have delayed flights"

Haven't had that happen yet.

I use them because they fly to all the places I have gone this summer.

Hell, I hate figuring this sh*t out.

I have posted on here for a good travel agent that can do all this for me, but everyone came up dueces.

Haha I love these threads. There comes a point when you make enough money that you get annoyed when people try to call you out eg: gmanifesto. Clearly he has cash.

Second, flying "cheap airlines" must mean u have no money. Yeah, because people who have money love to waste it, that's how we became successful... Blowing it in shit we don't need. Clown shoes.
