In case anyone here is still on the fence about the motives Scorpion described, I found this on the front page of Welt.de today, one of Germany's largest publications:
"What helps refugees the most? Neoliberalism!"
What's interesting in Germany is the complexity of the two-front war being waged. The first front is a media-driven campaign, fought using semantics and political correctness, to permanently alter public perception of those entering the country. Plastered across headlines and reinforced by government rhetoric, migrants are now "refugees", and permanent settlement is now "asylum". Statistics are ignored (for example, that 2/3 of migrants are fighting-age males) and sob stories are brought to the forefront. Nothing pulls at the heartstrings of a people eager to redeem past sins more than images of an 8-year old Syrian girl fighting against man and nature to cross the Mediterranean. Those who oppose it, politicians and laymen alike, are branded as "right wing extremists" and "Neonazis" or arrested for
Volksverhetzung.
The second front, one often difficult for Americans removed from the situation to conceptualize, is being fought on the ground and off camera. Thousands of resettlement camps now dot the German countryside, occupying the empty parking lots and apartment complexes of Hamburg and Berlin. Revealing the locations of these camps is illegal, and maps are quickly removed. I recently moved between cities in Germany this summer, and in both locations, container villages and tent cities were within walking distance or eyesight. Unsurprisingly, record numbers of them are being torched by pissed off locals, from the industrial state of NRW in the west to relatively homogeneous Sachsen in the east.
Locations of "refugee" camps in Germany
Germany has both the public support and logistical capabilities to stop this madness. It's not the reluctance of politicians to stop the coming tidal wave, it's a voluntary and enthusiastic willingness of government, media, and the left-wing to clear a path for it.
There's little doubt here that immigration policies and economic policies are bound together. The greatest threat to the EU's authority is the nation state, so by reshaping the demographic composition of each member, nationalism and social cohesion are destroyed. National governments are impotent under EU federal law, even with popular support at the local level (see: Eastern Europe) and the democratic system is rendered obsolete. Taken directly from the playbook of American elites. Without the European Union dismantled, the European population will be dismantled.
