Tribal Meeting (Official RVF meetups)

One flaw of the forum is that we have no official meetups in cities where men can regularly meet others without knowing exactly who is in the city and if they are available. After doing some experimentation in Poland, I aim to solve that problem with the Tribal Meeting.

The concept is simple. First, start a meeting in your city that meets at least twice a month. Then once you've had four meetings, contact me and I will put you on the official map. If someone wants to attend your meeting, they PM you for details.

I made a website that explains the concept: http://tribalmeeting.co/

Currently there is one tribal meeting in Poznan that meets twice a month. Hopefully by the end of the year we can have 5-10 established meetings. I'll use this thread to make announcements of when new tribes are created.

When I first read the title I pictured something like this.... http://www.thegoldenscope.com/wp-content...tribe1.jpg

Your idea is much better though.

I really like this idea. Typically I try to organize quarterly meetings in Chicago. I've been falling behind on it. This is a great concept. Time to start getting back into it!

This is perfect timing; I'm moving to Austin in three weeks and I've already been talking to a few of the local RVFers about getting a meetup going.

It's like we're now an underground intelligence agency, establishing operational sleeper cells in cities all over the world.

I love it.

Anyone in Victoria, BC, Canada hit me up.

Great idea.

But I think we need an easier way to find members in our area.
I guess the hard part is setting that up without subjecting members to getting spammed with invitations. Maybe make it optional to display your city under your avatar or something?

I would be keen to start a tribe. But I highly doubt there are any members floating around in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Let alone 4!

You won't know until you try dude.

I get the feeling most the members in this forum who live in Japan are over in Tokyo, but I'd love to see one get started in Osaka. Might have to try to start it myself if nothing pops up.

I would love for veterans in Tokyo to start a tribe meeting, I'm definitely in. Also other prefectures could hold their own tribe and maybe once or twice a year all Japanese tribe members can meet up in one spot for an annual tribal meeting. Not even kidding.

Yes, the easy part is attending a meeting. [Image: smile.gif]

Starting one will take more initiative and commitment, but as chief of tribe 001, there are satisfying benefits.

Once this builds up we can have tribal wars and invade others' territories to drink all their beer and bang their women.

I'm also in for London.

I could maybe take the lead on this, I've been to a couple of meets and organised one before.

But twice a month may be a stretch. Monthly I can commit to.

I want to start one for the Bay Area. Any Bay Area dudes, pm me so that we can meet up to start our location.

I like the idea, but given the weirdness people have about meeting up, I think more modest aims would go further in some cases. For instance, I know there are long time posters in LA I've never met. I was even chatting with one over PM, and then discovered he lived near me - when I proposed meeting, radio silence... While there are guys I don't click with, meeting up with other guys at least once is always a good move; if we get along, I stay in frequent touch with them.

I'll repeat an earlier idea of mine - a Crotch Count that appears below your avatar indicating how many forum members you've met. It would be on the honor system, and would preferably be like facebook friending in that it requires mutual assent.

Another would simply be identifying your city or something to other forum members.

The true value of the forum is in the member meetups. There's where you'll glean the top tier advice, gaming tips, secret locations, biz ideas, ect. Members do this for unfortunate reasons. So, in short, if you want the best, you gotta show your face.

^Agreed Ali, which is why I find it bizarre that people don't make it easier to meet up.

Many other vetted senior members share your sentiment. Why would someone with 1000's of posts and rep points not want to meetup for a cup of coffee? It certainly raises some suspicions. And when people become suspicious, they tend to draw back a little. This is one of the reasons the best intel isn't shared anymore.

Because they're frauds. All it would take is some eye contact to see through them.

Why would frauds be allowed to post on the forum? Wouldn't that be disrespectful to the real membership?

I had the same exact idea when I initiated a meet up and all I got was radio silence. I know most vets won't want to meet up with a newbie since they won't likely benefit from it, but if this community is all about the manosphere then atleast have the balls to just decline the offer, it is as simple as that.
