I'm currently not sure about whether I'll be in Japan longer or not, but If I do stay I'll just get in contact with the members currently staying in Japan and get a thread going to plan out a meetup. No pua lingo, no sorority bullshit, just a couple of guys hanging out drinking some beers and discussing life/pussy.

We would probably need to split that between Tokyo and Osaka.

That's why I wanted to start a thread, round up all members in Japan and see if we can have two meetups both in Osaka and Tokyo, or figure out a way to compromise and meet in between. Just a way to get Osaka residents and Tokyo residents to know whom to PM and pick it up from there.

So it seems like the tribal meeting idea hasn't really taken off based on the structure I gave. I'll unsticky this thread in the meanwhile.

Organized meet ups sound like a good idea though. I'd be up for starting them in Atlanta if any other Atlantans would like to join in.

@ Roosh,

How about creating a "forum directory" of sorts? Right now, there is absolutely no way to tell who is in your city or nearby aside from posting in the meetup forum and hoping people see and reply to your thread.

I think it would be a great feature to have a searchable database of members and their locations. So if I'm in LA, I could type in "Los Angeles," hit search and see which other RVFers are there that I can hit up via PM. This would come in especially handy for times when you're taking an extended trip and hitting up multiple cities and want to meet up with any members who may live there.

Of course, many people are justly concerned with privacy and may not want to share their location, so this would work on a purely opt-in basis. I don't know what kind of functionality the forum software gives you by default, but this kind of application would be trivial to write, even for a newb like myself. Basically just a single database table to store usernames and locations, 2 or 3 HTML forms, and some queries to input your username, set your location, and search for other usernames in a location.

^I agree with Fast Eddie. I'm not a web dev expert, but something like a Google Maps interface would work fine in my opinion. You click on a city you are about to visit and find out who is available there and agrees to post their location and specific dates when they are visiting. No private information will be disclosed, just the forum nicknames. Then you can PM the forum members.

Our 4th meetup is scheduled for 2 weeks from today/tomorrow. Originally I had planned to host once per month, but the interest in having them more frequently was there so we have been doing them twice a week for the past 3 meetups. So far we have had over a dozen guys show and interest is continuing to grow. Hope the guys in the other major cities can get things moving.

We now have 3 tribal meetings. The newest one is in Washington DC. See the map here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid...36tnpH3flg

I will also sticky this thread again since I think more tribes are forthcoming.

These guys, the Wolves of Vinland provide an interesting blueprint for aspects of the 'tribe'. Even if you are put off by the fact that most of these guys look like ferrets with a meth addiction, there is much that is positive and worth considering, even if your own concept of tribe is more scholarly. Things like a shared 'religion', for the unifying effect of custom, tradition and ritual, the necessity to spar and be physically competent (capable martially), and the focus on working together to exist outside the system, all have plenty of merit, even if your idea of a cookout involves more sirloin and couscous than bleach and metal shavings.

I'm in the venue, exactly where Gmac said everybody would be, don't see anyone, and my phone isn't letting me send P.M.s. Could someone please P.M. me?

I've considered making the drive into DC again, but I'm not doing it in the winter.

I see earlier in the thread a guy in Atlanta, that's also 6 hours of driving but in the other direction. I'm in the southeastern US, I've had to drive for hours to reach events for as I've had a license, I'm in the middle of nowhere so 100 miles on a Saturday night does not bother me, but 6 hours in the car is a bit much.

If there's interest in Raleigh or Charlotte then I'd like to help make it happen.

So we're on this list.
Here's my post in the big Houston thread that most people have replied too.

Apparently we're on the cities in need of a meet up on RoK. I don't know which one of us is hosting it, but I'm more than down as always. If no one has picked a spot yet we can meet up at the same place as last time or get dinner or something. I know a few lowkey spots.

Reply or shoot me a PM so we can get this figured out.
