Decided I want to look like a grown man/adult

I'm in my mid 20's and still rock fitted hats, hoodies, baggy pants (a bit), supra shoes etc.

I look young in the face tho, people guess im about 19. LOVE banging out 18-21 year olds as opposed to looking "older" and getting 25+

I tend to forget too that rocking a blazer in L.A. is different than other parts of the country/world.

And I've established a few personal rules that are based on experience. Everyone should have their own.

-I never do Vneck with blazer anymore. I believe that in the near future, people will look back on that and roll their eyes. I find this look completely pedestrian and half-assed (though I used to do it myself)

-If I'm wearing a blazer, I always tuck my shirt in. Again, I believe people will look back on the "untucked shirt with blazer" look and roll their eyes (I'm guilty of doing this in the past as well)

-I always leave the top two buttons undone. This current trend of buttoning up all the way has a very metrosexual and constrained look to it. You want to project aloofness.

But again, these are my personal preferences based on trial and error.

I consider these good examples of rocking a blazer:
[Image: image42.jpg] (the rolled up sleeves is hard to pull off but if you can, go for it)

[Image: hespoke-khakiblazer-fulledit21.jpg?w=700] This is money

[Image: GQJensonButton9.jpg] Don't agree with grey-on-grey here but the guy's good looking enough to get away with it

...and a final note, I do just fine with attracting younger girls. The first night I went out with my lightweight blazer I was in a venue with about a 20/80 ratio of girls to guys, and I still got approached by 6 different women (I've got a forum member that witnessed it), one of them a 19 year old that wound up making out with 5 minutes after introduction. I'm 33 and have greys in my facial scruff.

LM is banging 8+ girls within his niche, somehow I don't think rocking a blazer will improve his chances with the same girls.

If the blazer looks works for you then who am I to say otherwise, but just not a fan of it. I was in Stockholm in September and many dudes were rocking that look, so how does one set himself apart?

Yes, ideally if we all had great personalities with witty lines and openers then we wouldn't need to hide behind our clothes, tattoos etc.

Being called Sir maybe a sign of respect and maybe just me being sensitive about my age, I say forever young.

Decided I want to look like a grown man/adult

This thread isn't going in the direction I was hoping for.. sorry I couldn't resist

On a more serious note, I just cut my hair. I don't want to turn any of you guys on, as I've read the eating ass thread but the naked holes in my ear make my ear holes look like someones booty hole.

I'm not going to be wearing blazers, I'm just going for a more "normal look."

I feel that I am severely limiting myself to the women interested in me due to the multiple piercings I have and no I never looked like one of those god awful emo kids or some depressed loner. I've always just had semi long hair and a lot of piercings.

Also, I'm not nearly as attractive as I used to be now that everything is out and my hair is gone. I would give myself a 4/10, I know this is confusing to some but I want to set myself up long term game wise. Those who've read my posts know that I've been struggling pulling girls by relying more on game.

I'll drop a breakdown of girls that are usually into me, if that's helpful to anyone.
I don't think anyone gives a damn about girls in the 1-4 range so I'll leave them out.

5-6: These girls are the ones that are usually in my niche group. Either girls who are metal heads or are just into that "culture." Typically the girls who will identify as "bi" or "pansexual" or some other retarded shit.

7-8: Most of my bangs in this category have been "preppy girls," who love to party I.E. EDM sluts. You wouldn't expect them to lose their shit over me and one was even a pastors daughter [Image: confused.gif]. Mostly 7s though. The few 8s came back in high school where status was king. If I can recall correctly, the only 8 that has been into me post high school is when I visited UCSB a while ago. Many girls at UCSB were into me but that's probably because they wanted the novelty fuck? Other 7s or 8s just aren't interested and I understand since not everyone is into that type of look.

9-10: Unattainable for me.

Also, most of the girls in the 6-8 range who are either rockers/metal or "good girls" have all been weird. As in damaged in a sense, there's just something off and I have never been able to put my finger on it.

You still want to project an edge if going with dressy look or you can wind up looking like the middle managers in khakis posted earlier. I dress well but keep sideburns longer and a one-day-shadow to imply an adventurous side (I do not work in an office). Note in Veloce's pics the guys also have some stubble. A piercing or two that you put in before going out could have the same effect, making it seem like you're not simply another guy in a classic fit button up and blazer - there's more to you than meets the eye.

More on blazers.

Any man will benefit from having a few in his wardrobe - and it doesn't necessarily mean it will age your look (adversely), or make you appear conservative.

The key is, like all of your clothes, they need to fit you well.

I'm personally not a fan of blazers that resemble suit jackets. I go for a shoulderpad-less, light weight, with skinny lapels, and not too long so it's not covering my ass too much look.

Shoulder pads, long length and ill-fittedness are probably what pings the "conservative" radar the most.

You can't see the length of the one I'm wearing below, but here's an example. I have the same one in navy blue. It's a Jack and Jones Davy Blazer.

Are those Ditas? I had a pair but they looked horrible on me. Smooth getup though

Yep, the ones you want are formally called "unstructured blazers." They don't have linings or pads and have a slip cut. Think hip, not conservative.

What size are your ears at? I have a friend that has 2 gauge thin edge steel tunnels and they look really slick with his style. Got to be better than having them look like a cat's arse-hole anyway.

@SpiderKing: Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the link and it looks like a cool design, however I don't like the fact that it is basically just implanted on the shirt as it is, meaning that it looks like a big square pasted on the shirt, I really hate designs like these:

Is it really like this? Would be nice to see a picture of the real final product.

Well, minus the the shrieking due to me cutting off my hair, today was an okay day. Some girls like me with no facial piercings and some didn't. Every girl seemed to miss my plugs as I was the topic of huge discussion

I was feeling so good at one point I approached a girl in the cafe, I was surprised by how open she was and my normally weak game was on point. She was a 6/10 so that's two points above me but alas, a latino came over and scared away the pussy. I made it gushing for no reason, bet someone got her number and is fucking her right now. That guy owes me a +1

When anyone says that sportcoats or suits make a man look old, stuffy or boring that just tells me they don't know much about men's style. It you do it right you will have girls creaming their panties. I get eyefucked a lot when I go out and directly approached and complimented fairly often and that includes women who are young enough to be my daughter.

Study men's style and practice fearlessly and it will pay big dividends.

I guess what I am saying is certain clothes show who you are as a person, most clothes are uniforms. Just go to your local mall and you will see the same crap in every shop, just at different price points.

Got encouraged to do some approaches. I'd have to say the overall responses are okay. I was too much of a girl to approach 10 sloots but I did put my plugs in when I went out. I look forward to having my ears back in a couple of months

I feel 500 pounds lighter with short hair, although coming out of the shower doesn't make me feel as fresh as it used to

Update:

Things have been going well for me. I have 5 new notches already

I love the "I would suck his dick" look some women give me when I walk into a room. I feel more confident now and when I approach I don't have to think: what if my piercings turn her off or what if she doesn't like long hair?

Bottom line: I feel good

That's what counts in the end. If you feel good then you'll project that.. and women will respond to that.

I made a similar change in my early twenties, wanted to look more mature both in style and clothing.. i feel like i have more options when im out, im not locked into a particular niche.

Yeah, I had a big fear of rejection which really hindered my game development but as of lately I've been feeling so good I haven't given a fuck if a bitch isn't into me because her best friend probably is if not her sister

Same on both counts. There's a tendency (among the t-shirt wearing masses) to see it as a "relaxed" look, pairing naturally with a loose tie worn on an unbuttoned collar. This attitude extends to suits, too.

But I have come to see this as an AFC perspective: the perspective of children forced into suits for weddings, uniforms for school, corporate drones forced into "business" suits. They're trying to reassure people that even though they feel forced into toeing the line, they don't take their slavery too seriously. Which is an incredibly lame message.

I'm OK with an open collar (= going tieless,) but if you're going to wear a tie, wear it without reluctance or awkwardness. I do not dig the "truant schoolboy" look.

Gentlemen, which do you prefer?

One of my favorite blazers that I have received compliments on was a cotton navy blazer I got from Target, their Kensington model. It was no more than $50.

When getting a blazer, you definitely want to avoid the shoulder pads and want a more up to date look. You don't want to look like your grandpa or like you belong in a country club with your brass buttons.

J. Crew, Uniqlo, Banana Republic, Howard Yount are just a few off the top of my head which offer the more cut, fitted look.

Where do you guys draw the line between going fully suited and doing the blazer with jeans combo?

Veloce, you should start a men's style blog.

Suits belong in the boardroom. A suit is a very formal piece of attire. I dont think they really belong in da club (you could spill a drink on it!). Some guys may disagree with me about that. As for blazers & jeans, they are almost always acceptable no matter what you do: club, lounge, drinks with friends at the bar, whatever.

probably my last update on this thread

Walked into today and heard "OMG he's gorgeous"

The best of the girls was no higher than a 5 but still I've never heard that before from random lizards that did not have me in their niche group

Loving the change I made
