The Post-Wedding Hair Chop

I didn't realize this was a thing until I read this article on Kelly Cuoco getting a disgusting-ass pixie cut.

You'll be happy to know that the comments about her self-imposed downgrade are encouraging.

That prompted me to do a search on this so-called "post-wedding hair chop" and learned that it's supposedly common practice (in the U.S. only, I'm sure). This wedding forum thread--and the comments below--were among my most irritating internet results.

(NB: FH evidently means "future husband.")

This epitomizes the doomed-to-failure American marriage, poisoned in its crib by a woman who spends all her energy preparing for her wedding and how things look, but zero effort into preparing for her marriage and how things actually are. It's a massive go-fuck-yourself to the husband on the very first day of their supposed "lives together."

I tweeted this in response, though the 140-character limit didn't let me include that this would never happen to me in the first place because I wouldn't marry an American chick.

Have you guys heard about this shit or, worse, witnessed it? This is news to me.

I find that Latinas do this less often, but of course if they were raised in this country they are influenced (poisoned) by that.

Oddly, my ex-wife did the opposite: She had short hair when we met (but a cute face and rocking body, so I went for it). As we dated, and after we were married, she grew it longer and sexier, and started coloring it better. BUT, she did, of course, put on the obligatory 10 pounds after we got married, and that formerly curvy body was ...more like a straight line :/

It's a British thing too. By age 40 a lot of them have short hair, are fat and wear no makeup!

Funny you mention it.

A girl on my Facebook recently married, is now pregnant, and cut her hair short like a boy. She posted today saying how men are worthless without a woman around and complaining because the dude didnt do some house chore.

I feel sorry for the dude, not having sex would be hard enough, less alone not having sex with an ugly, fat, nagging wife.

She was kinda cute, but I swear, with her hair like that and her belly like a balloon, she doesnt even looks human. Its hard to describe.

Yep. Two of my buddies got married last year. Roughly 2 weeks after the wedding, both wives had nauseating pixie cuts. Couldn't feel bad though, they were 4s to begin with.

Edit: Just searched through FB. A girl I used to date (solid 6.5, dressed up to a 7) cut her hair off and got married to some herb. I'd barely give her a 6 with that cut even though she has a good body. Tragic.

A lot of women who are really obsessed with lavish weddings tend to be total hogs. It's a psychological thing. They are useless fat slappers in real life but just for once they want to feel like the dainty princess in one of those disney movies. Their fantasy is only limited to the amount that their omega/beta husband and relatives are willing to pony up to make it happen.

That's why so much money gets poured into this one off event. It's an expensive form of self validation for vacuous cunts.

Agreed. They don't get much attention ever. Except for the poor beta loser who decides to marry her.

So she has her special day...barf.

Jesus I was not aware of the trend of them cutting the hair directly after the wedding.

I had always thought the trend of wives cutting their hair short is most common after they have squeezed out a kid. At that point they figure they really have their husband locked in and can really stop giving a shit about their physical appearance so they say good bye to the days of long hair and a slim figure.

Prolly no pre-nup in these cases, so they really ARE locked in, kid or no.

Can confirm that it happens in Canada too. Although the ones I've personally witnessed doing it are all white women so maybe it's just a white chick thing?

Any ways, yeah, it's pretty wide spread all over the west. After all, the chick has a ring on her - why should she care about making her man happy any more? She's locked in. Odds are she'll also gain a shit ton of weight, especially if she gets pregnant. Women love using the obligatory one kid pregnancy to gorge themselves without guilt. Witnessed this with a cousin of mine who got married 3 years ago (he was 25, same with her). When she was his girlfriend, my cousin's wife was pretty cute (solid 7), in good shape, long flowing hair. 3 years after the marriage and now she's got granny hair and 40 extra pounds gained during her pregnancy. She also quit her job just after they bought a new house, so all that is on his bank account. [Image: icon_lol.gif]

I can't imagine how all these schmucks that wifed up these messes can just lay there in bed with them, night after night after night, watching her purposely uglify herself because she knows she's got his balls in a vice. That much indignity would make me go crazy.

A Korean ex-gf told me that its very common for wives in korean to chop off their hair somewhere between the wedding day and the first child.

Absolutely disgusting.

Very common in Australia as well. Usually it's post honeymoon but a significant number can't even wait that long to disrespect the chump husband.

Very common in Croatia too, although it's not yet enhanced by all the political connotations that the ones in Australia, USA or Canada have. It's often disguised as "but it's practicaaaaaaal!".

My mum got hers cut to neck length (not like the hair cut posted above). This was however, at 38 after 15 years of marriage and after my youngest brother (her third child) had been born. She was also still working, and simply didn't have enough time to look after long hair.

Loads over here in the UK, women in their late 30s and 40s with shitty short hair, I'd cull the cunts.

Regarding pregnancy, the three words that disgust me most have to be "eating for two".

No, you're not eating for two you fat whale.

It would be justice if "The Big Bang Theory" had a ratings drop due to Kelly Cuoco new haircut.

Even better if the producers realize it, slowly cut her out of the show and bring in another of the millions of hot blonds trying to make it in Hollywood.

Everyone from the 90s remembers what happened to Felicity.

Earlier this week I was feeling a bit sad about this girl I had last year whom I intended to (eventually) marry.

Not anymore. Thank you guys. You have become my daily dose of red pill.

Fucking wretched. Never get married in the West. The disconnect these lizards have with femininity and their ever-increasing narcissism is such a tragedy. What am I still doing in this country?

If you want to make a point to a friend who you dont want to marry, place a bet with him on the odds his future wife will cut her hair short within months of the wedding.

If he doesn't realise the lesson then your friend is lost.

Indian women tend to NOT cut their hair short. Short hair on a 30+ Indian woman is very rare.

I've come across many mainland Chinese FOB women with short hair. Some of them think it's fashionable.
