I think it's partly genetic. Some guys won't age irrespective of their lifestyles [Think Depp]. Having grown up in a beach town I've definitely found that the sun hits the girls a lot harder.

I do agree however that baking yourself is silly. I had a pretty severe melanoma in my early 20s which has pretty much kept me out of the sun for the past 7 years & kept me looking 20 [Not necessarily a good thing though lol].

Average aussie girl is a 4. Average young girl in a big city is a 5. On a university campus, a 6. The hottest are the Italian/Greek/Yugoslav and Vietnamese girls. Anglo girls in particular age extremely poorly. I agree with Biologist, the girl's are much hotter and pleasant all-round in the wealthier area's, fatties are virtually non-existent. There is talent here, you just need to know where to go. Best combo of quality and ease can be found in the hipster party scene (requires connections) and the clubs that cater to the young ex-private school kids.

Past 2 weekends at the big clubs in Brisbane the average is a 5 and 70%+ of the girls are fat, even a lot of the asian girls are fat these days, last night there was a 7-1 guy to girl ratio. During the day in the CBD there are many 7's and 8's walking around, i think guys doing day game here can do well.

I would agree that the average quality in Brisbane clubs would be about a 5, and yes, I also noticed that the majority of the girls were overweight.

However, a 7:1 guy-to-girl ratio? That's crazy! Although, I must admit that the last time I was in Brisbane was close to 2 years ago, so perhaps the ratios have gotten worse since then.

I actually cannot recall ever seeing a guy doing daygame anywhere in Australia (the pua-style street daygame at least). I guess this could be one of the reasons why we see so much thirst, horrible ratios and aggressive approaching in clubs here.

7-1 sounds too ridiculous to believe. Why would you even go somewhere with that ratio in the first place? I might expect that at some middle aged sports bar. 50-60% male is pretty standard at the clubs I go to, and scene parties and gigs are always majority female. I don't go to bars unless it's a quiet one for dates so I can't comment there.

Aussie girls arent genetically ugly, many can be quite attractive when they're young and slim. The problem is that they make themselves hit the wall very hard and very early, these days as early as 23-25 typically. Getting fat, too sunburnt, too much late night drinking & partying, zero exercise, poor diet, swearing like sailors, chopping their hair off, serious lack of fashion sense etc.

I was there three years ago with my friends and we were disappointed by the overall quality of the girls, we saw very few stunning girls but I admit that we didn't hit the nightlife scene at all.
The fashion sense of the girls was also extremely disappointing, lots of "hippie" girls with cheap and hideous clothes on...kind of shocking considering I'm from Milan where girls go to university dressed to the nines with high heels and with louis vuitton, hermes, prada, armani clothes on.

Scandinavia is similar in the way girls dress (very poor fashion sense) but they are hotter so you can put up with it a bit more.

I, also, have very little patient with girls that dress bad...maybe is the background I'm from but I can't stand girls that don't take care of themselves and don't do all they can to look as beautiful as possible.

I honestly thought that Australia was chock full of beautiful girls because many of them are models from Victoria Secret (Miranda Kerr, Jessica Hart, Martha Hunt, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Elle Macpherson, Catherine McNeil, Pania Rose, Shanina Shaik, Nicole Trunfio ecc) and because some australian girls that I met in Europe were very beautiful but the average quality the I saw both in Sidney and in Melbourne was quite bad.

The other night I actually went out without drinking for the first time in a while [With a mate fresh off a break-up]. Checked out a bunch of the backpacker bars & a few other places in Sydney's CBD & I couldn't help but notice the decline. To be honest I should have taken a few snap shots to give an idea what it's like.

The more packed bars/clubs had a ratio [& I kid you not] of around 15 guys to 1 girl. Of the hundred or so girls I saw throughout the night only around 5 were half decent & they were foreigners. I've slowly started to see less approaching by Aussie guys as well. 99% of them had very little interest in the women at all. I couldn't blame them to be honest.

On a side note - I met three girls from L.A & they were wearing joggers in a night club. They said this was normal. WTF?

Never been to Australia, but I always ran into groups of Australians in Europe. I was always surprised that you would have groups of guys that were fit, great personalities, fun to drink and party with but they didn't seem to approach girls much. Most Aussie's were just drinking and having fun. Don't know if that was a result of the environment you guys are talking about or not. However, on several different occasions (in Czech and Germany) I observed Euro girls approach them which resulted in a good time for the guys.

One guy told me he loved Australia (outdoor stuff, quality of life, etc.) but would trade Euro girls for Aussie girls any day. I really didn't think it would be that bad there. I figured the girls would be fit and personable like the Aussie guys I knew. I guess I was wrong.

Average Aussie girl really isn't too bad, but the spread is really great. There are definitely some absolute stunners if you know where to look, but that also comes along with some pretty busted landblobs. Very multicultural community here as well, so there's something for everyone's taste.

I live on the west coast, where we have 1000's of km of awesome coastline, and generally great weather (forget that I got rained on the whole way to the shops and back this morning..). If we weren't the most overpoliced place on the planet, and ridiculously expensive, this would be one of the greatest cities in the world.

Also, we love to party. Worth a visit if you have money to blow. I'd recommend coming here mid-summer if you can take the heat

The average of anywhere is 5. If you travel and the girls where you are have a slightly different look to what you're used to, you might think the average there is higher. But stay there for a while, even just a few weeks and it soon becomes normal - classic regression to the mean.

Besides, girls on the lower side of average don't even register with me. I'm not after average, I'm after girls who pass the boner test, of which there is no shortage. What our country lacks is the number of attractive girls in the 6-8 range. Because those are accessible to us at street level game, minus great fame and wealth. The reasons we lack them have been mentioned above: obesity, lack of femininity, horrid fashion etc. The countries where women appear to be hotter have a lot more in that range.
