I am in Davao now, looking for apartment for 6-12 months... So, Linmarr Towers - Camella Northpoint would be the best option for 25-30k php range (2br or around 50sqm) ? What about "Magallanes" there are a lot of offers from there? Maybe even something else ?

Looking for place that has good 4g LTE signal and is obviously in nice part of the city(close to the malls etc.)

Cheers [Image: smile.gif]

Bumping this since I need to rent asap to stop wasting money on hotels [Image: smile.gif]

2nd bump. Looking for a sweet and more central Jun n Dell alternative. Anyone?

I have been in Cebu for quite some time now. I would say the city is overall quite dumpy but has really amazing people. Anybody been to both Cebu and Davao that can give me a comparison? And I don't need any info about girls, nightlife, etc. That is all very well documented. I was thinking about checking out Davao but if it is simply a more spread out version of Cebu I will likely skip it. Lately people on the forum seem to be picking Davao over Cebu...just curious why.

Can someone shed some light on the typhoon season for me? Is it something that I should be particularly worried about if I'm in the Visayas in July-ish?

I grew up in a city below sea level on the southeastern coast of the US and I've never really worried about them. You might have a couple named storms come through in a particular year, there'd be some heavy raining and light flooding for a couple days, but it wasn't more than a pain in the ass. Even huge storms like Hugo didn't mean much if you were in a decent house.

Is that the situation here or is it more serious than that?

I wouldn't get too worked up about this. The main season runs July through September but last year Yolanda hit in mid November. My point? It is pretty random and there is no way to predict it. You would have to completely avoid about 9 months of the year to assure nothing comes through. And with all the ass here I strongly advise against such planning.

It is much harder for locals to get away from these large systems than in the US. You can't just drive a few hours inland and seek shelter. Many don't have the financial means to get away and very much believe "we have been through this many times before" (especially in provinces). The majority of deaths result from storm surges (only impacts east phils shoreline), lack of mindset or means to evacuate and 3rd world structures.

The storm track generally takes the storms north of Mindanao and through either the Visayas or Luzon. In Luzon, you will get immense flooding in the highlands but not a worry you will not be there. If it is a tropical storm or low cat hurricane you will be fine in the main cities. It has been proven many times. Just stay in a reasonably nice building that you know is not in a designated flood zone. There can be major flooding even from a tropical depression (but minor wind damage).

If you find yourself in the cross hairs for a cat 4 or 5 hurricane get the hell out. That is no joke. Yolanda was a cat 5 and left everything in its path in ruins. These storms will cripple an area for weeks or maybe longer (area around Tacloban is going to take years to rebuild). This type of storm is much less likely to happen fortunately.

Mac, I'd add one edit. Looking at the escalation of extreme weather incidents over the last twenty years, I wouldn't go so far as too say "much less likely to happen" so quickly anymore. That being said, I would never let these kind of incidents determine where I live. Anyone who has a computer and is using this site likely has the resources to avoid or protect themselves from any predictable (not including earthquakes and related tsunami) extreme weather event.

Strip away judeo-christian ethics ingraining sex is dirty/bad & the idea we're taking advantage of these girls disintegrates. Once you've lost that ethical quandary (which it isn't outside religion) then they've no reason to play the victim, you've no reason to feel the rogue. The interaction is to their benefit.

Davao isn't highly urbanised and dense as Cebu is, any building over 4 stories is uncommon, not many (none?) skyscrapers. There are still lots of malls but nothing as big as the mega malls in Manila/Cebu as far as i know. The city seems to spread on endlessly and the traffic is still pretty shit, but better than Cebu. There are beaches close by the city, nightlife isn't as developed. Maybe the best ratio of foreigner value vs. how conservative the girls are. Strict Smoking laws, but still commonplace. Samal island is pretty awesome. Even lower cost of living.

Hey gents, early 30s from London here. Will be in the Philippines for a few months starting Wednesday. Plan to be in Manila for a week, then Cebu and Davao, but details all TBD.

Anyone interested in meeting up for a beer and to wing a big drop me a line.

I am just 23(above normal testosterone had it tested) but I probably have some kind of porn induced ED that becomes apparent when combining alcohol and chicks that barely pass boner test but are too good to just pass up (majority of chicks around here). Got myself virgin 2 days ago and she generously offered her ass after I "hurt" her main entrance[Image: smile.gif] but I wasn't able to get hard enough to enter (she was super tight though)

Haha if anyone wonders how hard it was to get this girl, she clicked me online - asked me which part of city I am from and offered to come over [Image: smile.gif] Once here we get drunk and even despite her being virgin, no LMR, no bullshit... This shit is almost too easy here for young white guys such as myself.

Not the first time this happened when I was drunk [Image: smile.gif] hoping its the last time though, that's why CIALIS [Image: smile.gif]

The Tune Hotel in Davao is having a huge special on Agoda. I am not sure when it ends but if you are heading there and need a hotel for a few days on the cheap this is your chance. It is only 499 pesos per night plus the usual bs Agoda charges. It can't work out to more than $14 per night. I am not sure the location but the one here in Cebu is perfect.

GET ON THIS FAST!!! I don't think there is even a limit to the days. You may be able to book 2 weeks or a month on the cheap.

Search near the whorehouses - they usually don't ask for paperwork.

I had no luck finding it in Makati other than in the Red Light district. I paid $10 a pop (overpriced).

It was easy to find it in Subic Bay at $5 a pop. (Still overpriced)

Berserk,
Yes they are. Flew with them from BKK to Cebu via Manila return and it was decent.

Hi guys! Does anybody have a link to something that explains the ins and outs of copy and pasting messages in dateinasia? This may come off as whiny, but I can only think of so many ways to write "send me your facebook" or "send me your phone number". If not, no worries. I will figure it out. #DirectGameProblems

Safe? Yes! Flew from YYZ (Toronto) to MNL (Manila), MNL to BKK then back to MNL. Then went from MNL to DVO (Davao). I had no issues with my flights.

Flight attendants were attractive.

I also found this annoying with DIA! They mentioned in a pop up that they find it suspicious if a user does numerous copy/paste actions. I personally find it convenient as a user to copy/paste the same thing then edit the content as needed for a specific girl. I work in software myself, and for a free dating site I am stumped why they would add that functionality to flag users that do numerous copy/paste!

Bally,
I just did a bit of reading on mixing booze with Cialis. Something about it didn't seem safe to me. Well, it seems OK as long as the term "drunk" for you doesn't mean in excess of 5 drinks. It can increase your heart rate, lower your blood pressure, cause dizziness and a few other things that don't sound pleasant. If you have any existing blood pressure issues I would definitely run this past a doctor.

Conclusion: Keep the drinking in check and enjoy!

I did a cut and paste, changed one or two words and it was never a problem. It seems to be filtering based on usage of the "exact" message. If you switch it up ever so slightly you will be fine. It took me only an extra few seconds per message. I agree though...annoying.

Yes, the check seems very basic.

Completely random question: Literally four girls have stuck their face in my armpit over and over again and told me it smells so good. And I know I don't smell that good or that rank. Anybody experienced this or know what the hell is going on? This is really weird to me.

Lol, never happened to me, but you're either sending out irresistible alpha pheromones or you stink and the girls try to get it across in a nice way.

Interesting you bringing this up because on DIA 2 girls have mentioned wanting to smell my armpits and it kind of weirded me out, must be a pinay thing.

I am starting to learn a lot about this place, I befriended a couple of chicks I banged and got their prospective on whole dating thing.

It's hard to believe how much higher your value is here compared to back at home. Had beautiful 19 years old girl crying because her 35 something boyfriend from somewhere in EU left her on the internet [Image: smile.gif] She told all her relatives about him and everyone had high expectations. Now she is too ashamed to even face them and moved to her cousin far away from everyone else. It's funny how much these girls lie to themselves too, that same girl was telling me minutes later how she doesn't care about money AT ALL and just wants "real love".

One girl that is absolute stunner but not from my city is saying that she will immediately come here if I want her to. The kind of girl that I wouldn't have balls to even approach sober back in the EU =)

I seriously don't think that there is a place on earth where getting laid could be easier [Image: smile.gif] Just make sure that you know that everybody here is playing. I made friends with some older guys here(some VERY experienced) and they told me how many foreigners get here and because back at home they are not used to this they fall in love with the first girl that showers them with affection. They also told me that Filipinas will very rarely reject you because they don't like you like girls back in the west would, instead they will just pretend and play their game - and obviously they are VERY good at it so it's hard to know which ones really like you and which ones are playing.

@ballybally - you are too young to be taking Cialis.

I am almost double your age and have never tried it.
