I like krauserpua.com a lot. It's one of my favorite 'game' blogs on the Internet if not my favorite. So how is this not for me?

If it was even $30 I would buy it right now.

I have always found the lower the price, the worst the customer. To avoid that, I price my stuff higher and I get a better customer out of it.

That's probably why I've never read one of your books.

Pulitzer Prize winning authors with best selling books don't sell their pieces for $100. Shit, most are $7.99.

I don't create books and you probably couldn't afford the stuff I create.

You seem to be stuck on price. That is unfortunate since you probably lose out on learning a lot of stuff.

The market for Kauser's book isn't as big as some of those Pulitzer Prize winning authors. They are able to use that book to make more money with speaking engagements as well as other things. Totally different.

I have routinely dropped 50 to 100 bucks on a book just for one chapter.

I read some of Krauser's posts and enjoy his honesty about them, he goes into the wins and losses, nothing seems fabricated.

I understand that $100 is a lot of money to some, but I don't think we should debate his pricing.

I think what adds value is if people who have read the book give their honest thoughts. Maybe mention what else they have read and how it compares.

Debating what a man charges for what he has put time into doesn't seem like a good use of time.

Maybe some think he is crazy for what he wants, that's fine. But once you start attacking/mocking someone for what they want, then maybe it is time to stop engaging in the conversation. Not saying anyone here is attacking/mocking, just saying questioning the pricing may just mean it is better not to continue the conversation. Just don't buy his book, speak with your wallet.

As a businessman, if Krauser doesn't get the sales he was expecting, etc. Then he may reconsider his pricing. But the guy took the time to do the work, he should be allowed to do what he wants. The book just came out. Business adjust their strategy once it gets real world information. Maybe down the road once the first adopter sales fade off, he starts to discount it. Maybe he won't because he feels it is worth x and only x and it is an ego thing. Maybe it is a brand thing and he doesn't want to diminish his work in his mind by pricing it lower. But these are all his choices.

You don't generally tell the restaurant that their prices are too high do you? You go because for the prices they charge you feel you get value. If you don't get the value, you don't go. Or you shouldn't if you are thinking clearly.

I don't think any of us would want to be told what we should charge for our efforts. So I think the same courtesy should be offered to Krauser, McQueen, Roosh, etc. Just torrent it anonymously, jk. [Image: biggrin.gif]

I've had to drop 100+ for a textbook with the 'extras' from a fat, lesbian, useless cunt professor in college that preached 'mestizo lezzie oppression' in a tier one school. I want to know where my next book comes from. Period.

Exactly my point. Price doesn't matter if you get a good ROI from the purchase. Will dropping 100 bucks on Krauser's book save me time? How much is my time worth? Will I even try some of the stuff in the book or just read it and move on to the next book?

You really should be asking yourself these questions no matter if it is a 20 dollar book or 100. You will still be taking time to read it and hopefully test the stuff out in real life.

Your time should be worth far more than 100 bucks.

You're not concerned with ROI. You've already trolled by saying Krauser just got laid last year.

Why are you back trolling again?

That's why I think the thread just needs reviews from people who are trusted and maybe some comparisons against other books. I am hesitant to spend $100 at the moment based on this unknown. Maybe, just a hypothetical, Krauser gives a copy/sample to someone that is highly regarded on and get an honest review.

I hear ya. There should be plenty of material Kauser put out that will help people make an informed decision. I have read a few of his blog posts and it seems he has good amount of content there.

It definitely isn't an impulse buy... price wise.

I also think you and others should have an idea of what you want to learn before purchasing anything. That way, you can decide if the book will help you along in meeting your goals.

I have the book. But I have not finished reading it by a long shot, because it really is like a textbook, and I'm reading other stuff at the same time. It is professionally laid out, and information-dense. I have seen lots of materials out there, but there is no book like this out there on this subject, nor has there ever been as far as I am aware. That being said, I think this is of value to those who already approach during the day. Buying this book, or any other book, will not magically transform you into a game machine. I think the kinds of people who would enjoy this book are those who have introverted tendencies or are introverts (check out Danger and Play's recent introvert podcast for what this actually means), and like the intellectual aspects of game in addition to the applied aspects. That is, your strength is your conversational ability. I think if your game is more looks/physical presence/caveman, then you will probably not enjoy it or get much value from it unless for some reason you want to really change your approach.

The price issue is a red-herring. I would argue it is not overpriced because there is really nothing to compare it to; it is a unique product.

Another reason I bought it is: I have met Krauser, and I liked him as a person and what he was doing. The same way I bought all of Roosh's books, even though I may not go to the places he went in the near future (or ever). Support is a four-letter word spelled c-a-s-h.

I pirated Daygame Nitro because it was readily available online, it turned out to be a great book immensely more valuable than its price tag.

Last night I decided to spend the $100 on Daygame Mastery to support Krauser's work and to give him the incentive to keep going, also because if Daygame Nitro was good, then Mastery must be amazing.

I think Krauser's release strategy is a great idea if he wants to lower piracy. You can't pirate a hardcover book unless you scan every page, and to get that book, you'll need to spend $100. The people spending the $100 are probably guys like me who want to read, learn, and enjoy the book. The last thing I would want to do would be to stretch out the spine of the book or messing pages up, damaging a $100 book in any way... After I read the book i'll implement its lessons on my own, I could give a fuck if the next person reads it also. Scanning all those pages takes time out of my life for no return.

Despite that, anyone heard of Psy's Gangnam Style?

Psy's relaxed attitude to people infringing on his copyright helped turn Gangnam Style into one of the most successful cultural phenomena in recent years, and that includes becoming the most-viewed video on YouTube ever.

Funny. I remember a while back I asked on a thread here if Krauser would release Nitro on the Kindle. He told me just to pirate it and leave a review online lol. I never got around to downloading it though.

I like Krauser's reply to piracy: http://krauserpua.com/2011/07/06/daygame-nitro-torrent/

I trust Krauser. I like that visual breakdown of the timeline of the pickup.

Krauser, I see that you have making out before moving to the bang location. I'm a proponent of Tuth's first date bang recipe because I believe it gives the girl more plausible deniability to move to the bang location.

Even when it's clear that it's on, I tend to do the kiss in the cab, and not at the bar or wherever because I believe it show social intelligence and a lot of girls don't like to make out in public because of slut shame etc.

What are your thought on this?

Short version: I don't escalate past light kissing in date location. Then I deal with most of the LMR before the taxi ride.
Long version: In the book.

I routinely spend $300-400 on a book. Non-course related academic texts are even more expensive because they have such a limited audience. If a piece of information I learn in the book saves me 3-4 hours of my time then it was worth it. So if you think Krausers book is going to save you $100 worth of your time then you should get it.

seems like a good book, it's nothing to shell out $100. Thats like a night out drinking. I plan on buying it just to see what all the fuss is about.

probably most forum members here spend shitloads a month at the bar and on cigarettes and drinking and chasing wild women, me included

I would rather spend more money on a well-written book and not have any doubts that I have wasted my time when I finish reading it.

For instance I bought and read Models by Mark Manson and I was very disappointed. I don't doubt that he has skill, but his book has a pedantic tone, was not well written, and felt like it could have been condensed into a couple of blog posts. So, I don't really lament the money I spent (maybe $10) but I would have rather spent my time reading the material that gives me in the information I'm looking for, even if it is more expensive.

I do understand why guys are skeptical about the price tag. When I finish the book I will post a review.

Try this: Spend a week doing only direct day approaches; the only night approaches are before prime club time and without alcohol. No buying any new dress shirts or any form of entertainment or luxury goods. Total, financial spartan daygame week. No indirect openers at all. See how you feel at the end of the week. Now with extra money in the bank, ask yourself if you want more.

I know since I've started practicing Krauser's direct day style (discovered via his blog and videos [themselves discovered on this forum]), I've felt more free. I know that if I'm walking down the street and see a girl I like, I can waltz up and talk to her without hiding my intent.

I've used Roosh's Day Bang for 18 months now and have gotten mileage in bookstores, coffee shops and similar venues though I never had luck on the street, a venue I use everyday which is most logistically flexible. My biggest gripe with indirect is how drawn out it can be, whether through the interaction process, positioning yourself just right as you recycle your coffee cup or dealing with the flakey #s. Direct day game is high stakes. You see a girl and you just go for it, balls to the wall.

~$100 is steep in comparison to the good game material already out there (though I don't know of any direct day books) but after following Krauser's blog and tweets, I'm looking forward to this behemoth. Will report back after it arrives and I get through a few chapters.

Also here's a vid of what the process is all about (nice blazer btw):

Fuck it. I'm buying the damn book, and I'll report back here when I finish it. If I think it's worth the value or something similar, I'll recommend it. If not, I'll say so.

I'm in two minds to buy it too, I've never considered shelling out that much amount of money just for a book, but i'm very intrigued. Dammit Krauser, the guy is a secret marketing genius! He'll defo earn a ton from these sales, my guess 30k by the end of the year.

He's a former investment banker, I'm sure he's well aware of how the market works! By delivering a high end product and also pricing it highly, he's created a tremendous buzz.

I wonder had he included the book, a DVD series, a private website forum for Q&A and in field video critiques, mind maps, exclusive in field footage, other bonuses, etc. and set the price to $997, with only a 72 hour window to purchase it, I.E. Frank Kern style, if this market would bite?

Offer affiliates $500 commission on each sale they refer so every other game blogger hypes it up to their email list and social media contacts like crazy.

I've seen a bunch of launches like that where IM guys make a shit ton of money and I get bombarded with emails and Facebook posts about the launch. Lloyd Irvin did it in Jiu Jitsu and made lots of cash.

Anyway, guess I'm going back off topic here lol.
