Now, if I were already in some of those circles, then maybe my calculation would come out a bit different. therefore, to each his own.

It does seem that a guy in his late 30s, such as OP, is going to have more difficulties to run in the hostel circles than a guy in his 20s.

I do NOT necessarily buy that a guy staying in hostels or with a tighter budget is going to get slaughtered, unless he is attempting to pick up in those higher end circles.

To the OP, I appreciate the fact you are willing to talk about your experience. I think we all benefit from that.

You say you did barely any approaches for years, then decide to do a bootcamp.

I see a problem with this. You should at least approach a bit, BEFORE doing a bootcamp. You read about this all the time. Guys who have basically no approach experience take a bootcamp. They are afraid to approach, or talk to women anywhere. Then after the bootcamp, they don't do anymore approaches. Approaching is always going to have an element of fear or a "thrill" in it.

So, Wayout, have been doing approaches since bootcamp?

I had high hopes for Mocsow dancing scene. There was a party in a salsa club hosted by Ataca and La Alemana. If these names don’t ring a bell for you,Youtube them to get the idea. They are arguably the best club bachata performers and very decent salsa dancers. Let’s just put it this way: their year is scheduled ahead with performances all around the world! This kind of party is hard to find!
I actually met La Alemana long time ago when she wasn’t famous yet. I swear I got so many IOIs from her back then that if I played my cards right I would be able to sleep with her. She was hitting on me hardcore. But she started dating this Ataca guy and I wasn’t a douche bag back then. Anyways, I thought it will be interesting if she recognizes me years later in another land.
Dressed super trendy to stand out I was there a bit early to socialize. However by 9 pm the club was already full. I got in no problem and observed the dance floor. “This is going to be easy as shooting fish in a barrel with a nuclear weapon!” – I thought to myself.
There were significantly more women than men. Ninety percent of the dudes there couldn’t dance and looked the same: really bad haircut, dressed in a dress shirt and Wal-Mart quality slacks sporting beer bellies. They were all dancing Casino salsa and no one knew how to dance LA or NY style. I stood there like a wall flower for good 20 min just observing what was going on. I had the whole night anyway. There were women in their early 20’s rated 8+,standing around waiting for a guy to ask them to dance…I counted around 10,they were all 7+.



The place had almost no ugly or old ( 30+) women as no one would invite them to dance anyway. There were many guys in their late 30’s and early 40.s For some reason I thought of Pattaya,Thailand- that was the only place I saw many older ugly men with hot 19 year olds walking hand in hand.
There were also several black Caribbean dudes and dudes from Morroco maybe? They knew how to dance Kizomba and Bachata and were a real hit with Russian white women! They all had a hottie with them ,at least a 8 or 9! I cringed at that,but hey there were 8s and 9s standing around all over the place!


I invited some girls to dance bachata and it was ok. Russians are basically taught to dance Dominican style bachata and Casino ( Cuban style) of salsa. El Tigure was playing some real jungle style Dominican bachata too. If you are a dancer you will understand how I felt about this. It’s a shit style that came from poor peasants who made their way from Cuba and Dominican Republic to Russia. I bet it was a huge upgrade for their lifestyle

I think being an LA style dancer has super value in EE. Girls do realize how much classier LA style is but there is just no one to dance it with! Anyways- that night- whenever I wanted to dance I had a pick of several 8s! Felt great!
Women were really friendly too, asking questions, asking for my info ,Vkontakte ( Russian facebook)…I was thinking I need to start getting numbers. I invited to dance one girl and we were clicking right away. Danced for about 4 songs and I was making strong eye contact and she was smiling back. I don’t know why I didn’t ask her out but later turned out her husband/bf was there watching us. That’s another issue: many women are there to dance only and not single. I tried to flirt with another and another but just didn’t get the vibe. The easiest move in Russia is to buy a girl a drink, even water or invite her to your table ( meaning you’ll be paying for everything she orders). Water was 4 USD and a milk shake was 9USD,beer was about 7USD I think.
There were groups of girls eying me to come to their table but I didn’t want to pay for anyone. I am not going to take them home to the hostel I thought. ( I know,Logistics are shit) I thing most of them would not sleep with me right away anyway.
I am not sure how long to stay here in Moscow. It’s fun but very expensive. I have a sweet setup in a 2 tier city waiting for me. I’ll get my own place but I will have to do some improvements to the apartment. I will stay there for several months. I can already smell the pussy!

P.S. Several people brought up the point that I don’t like Russian Women yet I am in Russia. I, for example, don’t think Asians are attractive ,but that doesn’t stop me going to SEA and fuck them. I would never want to be in a relationship with one or have children with. Russian culture and women don’t click with me – but I have no problem having sex with them and actually looking forward to it!

I don’t understand why you would need to go around asking before you finally got some girl to accept your dance invitation.

Also, with dance, generally a guy does NOT need to explain to the girl his dance style and vertify whether she is ready, willing and/or able to dance with him. If you are an experienced dancer, in the top 5%, you should understand this concept, by now.

An experienced dancer should be able to just grab the girl and start dancing (well maybe you may want to hold out your hand or even ask her if she wants to dance).
