Tampa, FL...huge metropolitan area, low cost of living,the beach, cheap real estate, great nightlife...
Ft.Myers is kinda small and the beach is shitty,but if you get a good job there it can be fun.
The Keys is if you are gay and old or a really weird person, nudist type.
Miami - you better be rich there to just blend in. Bentley s and Ferrari's everywhere!

It really 100% depends on your steeze as areas in Florida can very greatly, kind of like California. From what I hear though Ft. Meyers isn't great. One of my best friends lived there a while and just moved back. Lots of old people in that area. It's not the worst place to live, but not the best either. I would think Tampa would be a better bet if you're not into the Miami scene.

The wealthy people in Florida are usually drawn to Miami and Key West. Those wealthy people are either natives from the US who flock there for its low tax laws (hence many celebrities) and rich South Americans who want to live in a city in the US(without many mexicans) where spanish is the second language.

I've been to Tampa, didn't love it, but I was there with an ex and only went to the beach...

NYC
Meat packing = clubs/more pretentious
Soho = shopping + higher end
Lower east side = hipster/dive
Mid-town = shopping + tourists...

Or California city break down...
SF/LA = need a car, tougher to pull due to weak logistics, great weather, better looking women compared to the north

Santabarbara/san Luis obispo= more college
feel, younger girls, no jobs there really, party + get fucked up frat bro scene would do well

Bay Area = steer clear of man Jose, San Francisco has good logistics but quality of women is worse than SoCal, good job opportunities, don't need a car

NorCal= more weed smoking people, think more hippie than hipster (hipster is more SF)

Stanford college = day game Mecca , you can do well there because the guys have peanuts for game, shit logistics though

Sacramento = small city big city feel, spread out, go to "the park" (a club) for talent, Mixt for cougars, tough to ONS but you're okay if you stay for a longer period, lots of government jobs

Davis California = college town, actually another under-rated areas for college girls just like Sacramento state college. No jobs though.

Cons: Mostly geriatric game, Long drive to Jai-Alai fronton

Also: long drive from airports (I just noticed this, its wonder this became a popular place considering its a 25 minute drive from both Ft. Lauderdale airport and WPB airport.

I love the Tampa Bay area. The weather, easy DTF women, the beach, I could go on and on.

The thing is, speaking in general terms about "Tampa" isn't particularly helpful. The Tampa Bay area consists of three major cities, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater, each with a distinctively different vibe. In addition, there are two major beach scenes, St. Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach.

Add on to that a dozen or more small coastal communities, countless neighborhood enclaves and even micro-neighborhoods. All of this within a maximum 45 minute driving radius.

Its really not possible to even comprehend the area until you've spent some time there, preferably with access to someone with local knowledge.

Yeah it all depends on how sleazy you want to go. Tampa is sleazy slutfest but, Normal people don't really live there they live in Safety harbor, Clearwater, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Odessa and go to Tampa when they have to or want to.

ST Pete is also sleazey skankfest but there's pockets of nice places.

Largo (Larghetto) is very slutty/skanky and so is Pinellas park which is where all the asian ladies be at...

Sarasota is the gem of the state and it's slutty little sister Bradenton

FT Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte is the end of the world. It feels like the end of the world and the people there are even disconnected from Tampa. Besides for retirees they are even dumber than here (if that's possible)

Downtown USA?
A new city that nobody has ever heard of but exists here all over?
Beachfront condo life?
Lake/freshwater?

For Florida, Pinellas Park has a pretty heavy asian population, but it is a low percentage compared to some towns in other parts of the country. That area is predominately white and it is my understanding that it is an ideal location for employing some of the trailer park strategies which El Mechanico has discussed in other threads. Although I am somewhat familiar with parts of Pinellas County, I have never lived there, so you should give much more weight to what El Mechanico says.

My buddy used to work for INS Tampa and still has friends there. He tells me where the pockets of any type of girl are. Asians are in Pinellas Park it's in the center of what looks to be ST. Pete on the map. Strip mall city pretty much and older block homes. Lots of Asian stores, Restaurants.

Russians in New Tampa, Polish in Clearwater etc etc...No need to leave here really.

My family has a retirement place in the Naples area. Its mostly old white people and golf courses.

Pros: Absurdly safe- I'm talking 0 threat of crime here
The few young women that are here are decent looking
Things aren't cheap but they aren't overpriced. You get good value

Cons: Not a lot of young people.
Lack of nightlife scene
Not many business/tech jobs
