Manyalee is basically a restaurant/lounge. Cocina 88 is a restaurant. Mala Noche and Lola Lolita are bars/nightclubs. On weekends, I prefer Mala Noche over Lola Lolita, but the good thing about Lola Lolita is that it seems to be open every night and I have never seen it dead. It's a good place to go by default on nights when there is not much else happening.

Having a local wing is preferable, but the next best thing is of course, flying solo. Some guys prefer flying solo all of the time.

As I mentioned earlier, the way I read it here and as was told to me by guys I met, Guadalajara was hyped as a city that had a "there's something in the water" phenomenon. And countless statements that GDL "has the hottest girls in Mexico". Maybe not traffic stopping but at least ones that could be on a magazine cover. I even read here on the forum about a couple of guys living in Medellin who would fly out here every weekend to game. That says a lot.

Given the above statements, I should be able to walk down a major street/avenue on a busy day and be wowed. I am not. I'm thinking now that the guys who are making these statements and/or hyping it up are ones who are from or who spent a lot of time in the parts of Mexico where the women are short & ugly, such as Chiapas. Or guys who have low standards.

The problem with making an assumption from this experience are:
1. When you meet girls outside of GDL or any city for that matter, you're meeting the 1% who are privileged or rich enough to travel and girls from such upper class backgrounds/families tend to be more beautiful & refined.
2. Do you approach ugly girls? Probably not. So the girls you meet from whatever city will up to your standards: hot, fly, etc. These girls are not representative of the majority of girls of that city's population.

I just came back from a mall in Zap. It was 50% fresa - up from the 15% in centro. The talent quality edged up a tad - but certainly not 50%. And I didn't see that many targets nor opportunities to approach. I gamed this pretty promotions girl for telcel or telmex. She looked like Eva Mendes but with a finer nose. Her coworker kept butting in and throwing salt in my game. The other girl was all smiles and had an open vibe. When I turned to leave, I said 'gracias' and she said 'hasta luego!' while her coworker had a look of disdain in her face.

Btw, does anyone here buy clothes from a men's store called Quadra? They have some good stuff.

I can see promise in hitting up the high end clubs in Zap but my problem with that is that with girls being conservative here, the first meet is usually a number close, if lucky, a number & kiss close. And paying for a $100USD bottle and/or battling it out with the douchebag mirreyes is an effin expensive, time consuming, and ineffective way to get a number.

Sorry man, Im leaving tomorrow night, Thursday at most. (Im leaving my shared apartment in Mexico City at the end of the month and my roommate is holding my deposit hostage, so I got to see to that...)

I couldnt give you hotel recommendations, I rented out a room for the week downtown near Centro Histórico.

Its rainy season. Sunny through the day and then it pours every other night. Come prepared. Cabs might try to overcharge you, so be prepared for that also. Make sure they have the meter (taximetro) on. At night they usually turn it off, its ok, just know beforehand how much should it be and expect to be charged 20-30% more. I didnt knew that and payed 50 pesos for a 6 block ride. (but with the rain, I would have actually payed more than that had the driver asked for it... 50 pesos is still cheap enough)

As for bar recommendations, I went to Lola Lolita on Saturday. Great talent. (I also went to a rock club in Chapultepec but I dont remember the name. I was there for 10 minutes though... most of the bars in Chapultepec are sitting sets, not my favourite to game.)

But be warned: there are no hot girls in Guadalajara:
