Some styles work for some players in some environments. We try to give advice and tell others what work for us. In the end women are stupid and who knows what they want. Whatever works for you to pull the lizards you want to pull and give you the confidence to do it.

The cycle of disrespect can start with just an appetizer.

Funny how different opinions there are on summer styles across the globe...

What makes this guys style bad? The shoes seem out of place and I don't like the rose color shorts...

How would this look if he was wearing low cut white sneakers, khaki shorts and the shirt untucked?

If its summer I ain't tucking my shirt in, whole point of this is air flow so it's not as hot.

Look, belt, leather shoes, rolled up long sleeve shirt = heat. Tucked in shirt = more heat.

Here's the thing about fashion "rules."

Most of the rules are written by skinny guys with no bodies.

That's why most fashion is heavily reliant upon layering. If you're a buck fifty, you need a lot of layers to fill you out and make you look like a man.

If you actually have some size, layers look pretty stupid on you, because it gives you too much bulk. It also hides the contours of a good physique and makes you look boxy.

NEVER wear a tank top is a rule.

Gee...Who do you think created that rule - a guy with 13" arms or a guy with 18" arms?

If you're a skinny dork, of course you don't want guys showing off their bodies. You want people wrapped up and hiding. It's cutting your legs off of the competition. Classic slave morality.

Women like nice legs. If you're rocking rugby player legs, shorts are great.

Shorts with boat shoes are even better - accentuates the calves.

If you're skinny, it's better to hide those chicken legs.

If you are in shape the more skin you show the better so shorts or not it really doesn't make a difference. Wearing a pair of addidas basketball shorts + a wife beater will get me 400x more attention outside than a thick jacket. You want to be big enough where you don't wear shoulder padded suits. Who do you think those suits were made for? Unhealthy poorly sculpted bodies.

Shorts really don't matter your eyes look more at waist up on men, unless you have chicken legs.

I like to dress exactly like that. Except i wear polos too.

It's funny that some of my friends made fun of me because my shorts were above my knee, yet those who did it bang less women than me.

So what would you wear in a place that's 100+ and humid as hell? I don't know why people on here are so against shorts.

I don't see the problem with cutoff jeans.
My legs are pretty jacked so really any shorts that hit knee level or a little above look good as long as they're not loose.

Most guys who have problems with wearing certain kinds of shorts (short shorts, probably cutoff jeans, khakis) are probably the same guys whose legs are no bigger than their knee joints and have skinny little calf muscles.

I'm also curious what you guys who wear shorts with no pockets do for general use (i.e, buying drinks at tiki bars or carrying car keys). Do you have a satchel? Serious question.
I'll agree that wearing baggy shorts with a lot of shit in the pockets looks stupid as hell. My shorts generally have pocket room for a money clip, driver's license, and car keys.

Shorts? Only if they match the socks you are wearing under your Crocs.

Shorts? They are perfect for when you take the kids grocery shopping at Wal-Mart.

Shorts? Sure, dont forget your matching fanny pack.

Shorts? Yeah. Compliment them with white tube socks.

Shorts? Perfect for social gatherings at the retirement home.

Boardshorts.

Or avoid places like that altogether.

Man, most of the guys on here obviously don't and have never lived in a crazy hot place. It's 100 degrees every day in the summer here, and humid as fuckin shit. I go out in pants on and I'll sweat just standing around. Doesn't even get any cooler at night. Shorts or bust here fellas.

Any brand recommendations for shorts, preferably ones I can buy online? Gotta get a few new pairs before it starts to get hot.

Obviously, in more normative societies (e.g. DR, Colombia, Mexico) hardly anyone wears shorts outside of a beach environment and the overall etiquette in those places is stricter in general.
I never understood that shit. Go to a place like Panama City, on of the hottest spots in Central America and rock your pants/ suits. It's just horrible. When I worked there, I had to walk maybe 15 min to my office everyday and when I got there, I was soaking wet.
Heat and humidity might not be problem for some of you guys, but being from Northern European decent, I am not cut out for that shit and say fuck you while rocking my shorts.

I don't rock shorts unless there's water or sports involved (beach, pool, frisbee at the park, whatever), even in the Dirty South.

I went to a beer festival last week, 90+ degrees, humid, and wore jeans because it was a social event and I felt weird wearing shorts...most all other guys did though. Hey if you like the pastel shorts look, go for it, but it's a little fratty for my tastes.

As long as your upper half is cool, you're good.

You need to change that. You'll feel better trust me. They wear jeans in GA because they're a bunch of stupid rednecks.

Coupled with some boat shoes or low sneakers it looks pretty good

This is pretty much how I do it, but kill the denim shirt unbuttoned. Usually wear microfiber v-neck, like the ones from lululemon, or a nice microfiber polo, not a stupid golf shirt, maybe a J Lindberg. Top it off with a pair of killer shades. The Vans no socks are a must.

I live in NYC. It gets hotter than pretty much anywhere on this thread. 95+ and 90% humidity in the middle of the city is pretty normal during the day. Wearing pants is pointless during the day. At night, of course.

I live in a very fashion-conscious place like this, and I'm rarely ever seen in public wearing shorts, except at places like the gym, the beach, or hiking. Jeans are too heavy, but microfiber dress pants or linen are a pretty comfortable alternative to shorts and I look good, which I need to do in order to attract the type of women that interest me. The reason that people can wear long pants in hot-as-hell places in Latin America is because they do it all the time so they're used to it. When I went to Central America for the first time, I poured sweat constantly for the first three days even though I was wearing next to nothing. Now I can wear long pants in the same place and barely break a sweat.

Nike Dry fit, flat front slacks. $80 at any golf store. I have these in black, grey, and cream. If its 100+ degrees, try these.

My favorite look is wearing below-the-knee camo-shorts and a black wife beater in the summer. I am muscular so I get lots of attention from younger chicks dressed like that. There's an element of "badass" to it that none of the above pictures show.
