Cabarete Data Sheet

Cabarete, Dominican Republic:
I went during the high season of late December/ early jaunary. Not sure what it is like during other parts of the year.

If you like water sports, Cabarete is a MUST go to spot. Wind sailing and kite surfing are excellent here. The weather conditions for these sports is close to perfect.

Cabarete is a tiny beach town. There is tons of expats and tourists here so if you’re looking to meet lots of Dominican woman this is not the best place to do so. If you want to meet lots of Europeans and North Americans, this is a great place to be.

Tourist Girls- There are lots. Some are with their family, some with friends, some with boyfriends, some solo. The best time to meet them is during the day while they are tanning at the beach. There are tons of them between downtown beach and Kite Surfing beach. Take a kite surf lesson. Let them see you being proactive while they lay out like a sack of potatoes. Some are always looking around. Give one a smile. She might smile back. Your move from here. At night time, it is hit or miss. Depends how horny the girls are who are visiting.

Expat girls- Mostly European; I met some really nice ones while kite surfing. However, they are tough. They work with tons of male expats who are also European. Thus the girl-guy ratio is horrible.

Dominican girls- There are hot ones who work at the bars and restaurants. If you don’t speak Spanish, good luck! They get hit on by different foreigners everyday! One night, I was sitting at a bar and start talking to the bartender. I notice a good looking American guy is also hitting on her. However she was much more interested in me since I can actually speak Spanish. I got her #, he didn’t.. I also fucked a waitress my first night here. An American guy who can speak Spanish? This is DEMONSTRATING HIGHER VALUE at its finest.
If you plan on living here for months, it is a different story to meet girls. This is from a tourist point of view..

Food:
Chino’s- good cheap chinese food; owned and operated by chinese people. Located on the west end of the downtown area.

Gordito’s- good cheap Mexican food; similar to chipotle. You walk in and tell the server what you want; a buritto bowl, burrito, or tacos; owned and operated by americans. Located right next to the Plaza Ocean Dream hotel.

Claro- awesome café. Owned by my girl Sandy from Germany. She is very nice and pretty sexy too. Good sandwiches, eggs, burritos. It is only open from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. though. It is located at the entrance next to casa blanca hotel. (Don't confuse this with the cell phone company)

Pizzeria Restaraunte- Located in the heart of downtown. Good, cheap food. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (I think; I ate here at 5:30 in the morning on a Sunday night and the lady said they don’t close)

Authentic Dominican Food
- Located right next to the police station. It is in a giant Hut kind of building. Food is cheap, good and they give you large portions. I recommend their authentic chicken and rice with beans on the side. You splatter the beans on top of all the rice and mix it in. You will most likely be the only non-dominican here.

Good Cheap Food/ Underground brothel (Shout out to Black Quixote and Elabayarte for finding this place): The food is cheap and good.. Cabarete is not known for pros (Sosua is) . However this place is awesome. The girls are smoking hot; hotter than the ones in Sosua. They just sit at the bar. If you call them over they come over and speak with you. They are not aggressive at all. And since you’re eating food, you can eat your food while talking to a super hot Dominican girl. I was not once pressured to purchase a girl but you can stare/ chat all you want.
Go around 7 p.m. for dinner. Get warmed up for the night by talking to these girls while eating good food. Cheap drinks also.
Located about a 4 minute walk east of downtown. It is on the beach side of the road. The driveway says “Hotel Alegria”. If you’re walking from downtown, when you see “Janet’s Supermarket” that is the driveway you want to go down. The restaurant is kind of a big hut on the right hand side of the driveway.
Go in there and pretend you’re going there for the cheap food. There will probably be some old men in there talking to the girls. There was an American couple sitting next to us who were actually there for the food.
Nightlife:
Pretty mellow nightlife with the exception of New Years Eve. Game is definitely required and you will most likely be gaming Europeans and Americans.
There is bars lined up along the beach in the downtown area. Most of them have NFL and NBA games on which is cool.
[
Ojo- Biggest nightclub- Only place that parties while I was here on Sundays but nothing too crazy. Knowing how to dance Bachate or merengue is a huge advantage here. I believe Thursdays is when they play lots of merengue and bachata music.

Onnos and LAX- the other big night clubs. Play more American Music then Ojo.

Bambu Bar- Full of pros. It’s funny when dumb tourists wander in here and don’t realize there at a hooker bar. I saw families walk in there and look around lol. The quality of girls isn't the greatest. Almost every girl at the underground brothel i mentioned is hotter then every bamboo bar chick. Located between Onnos and LAX.

All in all the nightlife isn’t too crazy here. There is always people out drinking and the majority of people are tourists or expats from Europe or north America.
Very cool, small town. Definitely worth a visit!
Txbeachbum, if you have anything to add on or correct, please do so.

Nice dude. You pretty much hit everything.

Good Game really is essential in both Sosua and Cabarete if you want any quality or at least to not pay.

I've been here a few days now, and I'm a little frustrated... Where are the local non-pro girls? Are there any?

Local non pro girls are everywhere but tourist areas. Take a cheap carro o bus (50 pesos or less) and head East. Sabeneta(10 min), Gasper Herandez(20 min), Rio San Juan(30 min), Cabarera(1 hour).

The hot local girls will be in the big cities like Santiago or Santo Domingo. Because they have real colleges and real jobs.

How are these little towns?

Safety wise?

Eats?

Eats: plato del dia, rice beans salad and a meat for around $3. At night it is food bought from street vendor. empanadas, hot dogs, hamburgers, burritos or something similar

Safety: The main areas of the little towns are safe. Small town people are usually pretty friendly.

All the towns are different. These are just short trips you can make from Cabarete. The father away from the tourist areas, the better. All the towns usually have a central park, where everyone sits around at night and drinks beer.

good report,I get out there once or twice a year. I actually have had some luck with the tourist girls, as well as with some local girls in the discos on the weekends. things get going late of course, but you can meet local people on the weekend nights.

I always rent a motorcycle and go through those towns you mentioned in the east, usually as far as Playa Grande, where you can get a fresh fish lunch from the local fisherman. Also it's a beautiful beach and mostly deserted. You can take the bike up into the mountains, and see some beautiful vistas. the local girls are very friendly, but need to be a little careful of the hombres and you need to know some espanol.

I rent the bike from the German guy next to Iguana Mama's. He is very helpful and knows about getting around to these other towns. Sometimes on the weekends there are local parties in these towns, such as at the local car wash, just ask the local guys in cabarete for recommendations. If you are interested in mountain biking and other adventure sports I very much recommend Iguana Mamas.

Regarding the underground brothel, you are talking about Elvis' place. If you need help finding it, a lot of the local guys know about Elvis. You will get a big smile mentioning Elvis.

You are not exagerating about the girls. Most of the girls seem to be part timers and local (Puerto Plata or santiago) college girls in need of a little extra income. It's an interesting place. In addition to the girls you may see older gringo tourist couples eating and listening to music. It's a must see place imo.

Nice. Thanks.

Any small beach towns you recommend?

In Cabarete now. Will be renting a car with my mates and hitting all the stops over to Haiti. Really excited about Montecristi.

Just bought some credits on badoo, so I could keep writing to my 700 new girlfriends [Image: tongue.gif]

Would I need my drivers licence to rent a moto? .. lost mine somewhere along the road here...

When shit goes wrong it can go real wrong. The DR is a place where shit can get real and Haiti is a place where shit is already real.
Watch out or change gears and get a driver for your first test run. I am by no means a fear-monger.

Yep, still planning to buy a citizenship from Dominica. My friend is getting one from St. Kitts but is having a bunch of problems. I'm letting him guinea pig the economic citizenship stuff before i jump into it.

Other than staying at an all-inclusive in Punta Cana, I don't have any experience in the DR. Just going by my research, Cabrera seems like an up and coming area where you can get some oceanfront/view land for a reasonable price. For the amount of land i want, I think Cabarete and Las Terrenas areas are out of my price range.

I need to live by the ocean. I'd prefer to live near tourist areas and areas that have a bunch of expats instead of strictly among Dominicans... that's why I like the thought of Las Terrenas and Cabarete.

Patron, any gringos in Cabrera or anything major you think I should know about it?

Haiti is just to cross the border and get the stamp. Have no interest in trying my luck there at this time.

I'm quite sure we will do all the driving during the daytime... but do you guys have any horror stories of how wrong it can go here on the road? For all I care we could just take the bus, but the guys are all geared up for the drive...

Just got back from haiti yesterday went to carnival in cap hatian (2nd largest city in haiti) 1hr or so from border I agree shit is VERY REAL in haiti, not a place to wander.

As far as driving around in DR, the key is do not stop. I dont care if you run over a kid or grandma in the street do not stop if you get out to help, you will get mobbed. Do not help anyone else stranded or accident on the road you will be blamed, just drive defensive and should be cool and make sure to get the full coverage from the rental car company choose a national chain, your cc insurance for car rentals wont work here

You can drive, although you won't be able to cross the border in a rental. In Cabarete, I would recommend Universal Car Rental - you can see the kiosk on the main road in the center of the town. The owner is David and their daily rates are around 1,200 pesos for a 5-year old Honda CRV. And these guys will help you out with the local police in a tight spot.

yeah, do not stop in DR, and you are not legally required either. If you hurt or kill a dominican, the locals will literally try to kill you on the spot, and it won't matter that the moron was driving drunk at night on a moped without lights, without a helmet, going the wrong way on a one way road.

Txbeachbum, not true about cc insurance - need to check with the car issuer about DR coverage. I always decline local insurance and use my cc, and I got covered just fine a couple of years ago (it was a visa).

I met a really hot Dominican chick on Badoo who lives in Gaspar Hernandez. When I went there to meet her, it turned out to be twins! [Image: banana.gif] [Image: banana.gif] Too bad they are good girls and don't party.....[Image: undecided.gif]

Anyhow, there is not a single gringo in that whole town. I met some really cool guys there who said the last gringo to live there fucked like half the girls in town. Quality seemed okay, mostly 5's-7's, maybe an 8 here and there and a maybe a 9. On Sundays they have a party in the park in the center of town just north of the main road. Probably not a good place to pick up a girl quickly, as basically everyone would instantly see her as gringo bait. But, hey, anything is possible. The beach about a mile away is gorgeous and natural.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that the middle class girls that come to cabarete on the weekends (from Santiago / SDO) are stuck up? They come here with American bitch shields, like they are gods gift just because they have a little money and/or education? Anyone know any game for Dominicanas on vacation?

FreshCream any comments? I'm thinking you do, after your little incident.... Well, rather, we can learn what not to do...ha ha...

I read this as "celibate" data sheet

Would have been a wack ass data sheet

...

Celibate
I was during the high season of late December/ early january. Not sure what it is like during other parts of the year.

If you like sexual frustration, celibacy is a MUST try. Being a loser is excellent for this; really, it's close to perfect.

Celibacy is a tiny amount of sex. Actually zero to be specific.

Tourist Girls- Didn't fuck any!

Expat girls- Didn't fuck any!

Dominican girls- Didn't fuck any!

Gordito’s- spanish for being somewhat fat like I am

Claro- spanish response when you ask a girl if she thinks you are creepy

Nightlife:
world of warcraft and streaming porn

Very cool, small amount of sex. Definitely worth a try!
