Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby in The Peaky Blinders. Would give a lot to have his voice...

Cows die,
family die,
you will die the same way.
I know only one thing
that never dies:
the reputation of the one who's died.
Imagine this guy slaying pussy with banter like that.
Gordon Gekko Wall Street--1987
![[Image: Gordon_Gekko.jpg]](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/40/Gordon_Gekko.jpg)
Who did not want to be Gekko after that movie? The power the money the absolutely ruthless take no prisoners mentality(line from scene: why do u need to wreck this company? Gekko responds: Because it is wreckable). He has power over everything he touches even giving Bud Fox his former mistress Darien (played by Daryl Hannah) like a commodity. He also takes her away when Bud tries to go against Gekko on Bluestar. Why? Because Darien is effectively owned by Gekko and will not go against him.
The quotes also were unforgettable and very apt.
Everyone remembers "greed is good" but the rest of the dialogue is better:
Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind.
Gekko: Its all about the buck, the rest is conversation.
Bud Fox: How much is enough?
Gordon Gekko: It's not a question of enough, pal. It's a zero sum game, somebody wins, somebody loses. Money itself isn't lost or made, it's simply transferred from one perception to another.
Gekko: The most valuable commodity I know of is information.
Geeko: I don't throw darts at a board (when talking about investing). I bet on sure things. Read Sun-tzu, The Art of War. Every battle is won before it is ever fought.
What you learn is that the market is rigged between those outside the loop and the ones with inside information.
Another accurate description of modern capitalism from Gekko:
The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth, five trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work, two thirds comes from inheritance, interest on interest accumulating to widows and idiot sons; And what I do, stock and real estate speculation. It's bullshit. You got ninety percent of the American public out there with little or no net worth. I create nothing. I own. (I learned the importance of owning financial assets)
Gekko talking to Darien (his mistress): "We are smart enough to not buy into the oldest myth running: love. A fiction created by people to keep them from jumping out of windows."
And while the ending seems like Bud Fox successfully screws Gekko, if u look at the movie closer it was Gekko using Bud Fox as a front man (all the documents were in Bud Fox's name) for the insider trading.
Oliver stone hated how viewers interpreted the ending (as Gekko winning and Fox losing) so much that he had to make a stupid sequel to try to convince viewers Gekko went to jail.

Oustanding thread. I'm partial to Clint Eastwood. Real American Hero.
Do animated characters count? If so then Race Bannon is the guy. Dude was smart, well trained, can handle his business with his fists or weapons, always kept his cool under fire, and the ladies loved him.
The name of this video is hilarious.
I've never watched any of the newer Jonny Quest shows figuring they were filled with SJW crap. But this video gives me hope.![[Image: banana.gif]](https://rooshvforum.network/images/smilies/new/banana.gif)
