Here is a comprehensive guide to an effective workout while jetsetting. I've constructed a travel set consisting of:
http://www.bodylastics.com/
http://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Fitness-PP...B000Y91ZMY
http://www.portable-pullupbar.com/
All together this weighs about 7 pounds and takes up little room in your bag.
Follow these routines:

I can't recommend this book enough.
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw10.htm
This is a more basic routine but effective.
Everything you need to stay in shape is in this post and can be done in the hotel room or the immediate area (sprints). Now we have have no excuses for not at least maintaining a proper physique of a playa. Safe travels gents.
THANKS for this..appreciate it.

Whilst I do not extensively travel as much as some of you guys on here, i.e. permanent jet-setters.
I travel around a bit and want to know what sort of stuff you guys do to keep fit away from the gym at home when you're out searching for pussy in an exotic country?
I am a fitness freak and would probably go crazy if I didn't exercise after a day or two...so on the road I try my best to hit the gym every few days..although not always a viable option.
The basics are skipping rope, a pair of running shoes and the beautiful outdoors.
I hear exercise bands are good and give a good workout - what are your experiences with these?
Do you have specific workout routines to keep you in shape?
I have been whoring out this routine hardcore, so pardon my persistence.
Here's my nifty traveling thread

EDIT: My experience with exercise bands has not been very good. I can take three of the heaviest exercise bands at the local martial arts academy, fold them in half, and stretch them out and around with no real workout at all. They might be good for plyometric stuff but I have no experience with this.
Also, not sure why people enjoy the perfect pushup. You're cheating your hands and forearms out of a strength workout.

You should run about 10 miles a week if you want to stay fit and ready for sex. Sounds like a lot but it really is just 5 days a week with 2 miles each day. Not a lot.
Great info.
Not true, all exercise is good. Running is counter-productive for Ectomoprhs, I would rather do some wind sprints then 10 miles of running.
Personally while travelling around the world I do a combination of pushups, tricep dips(chair) bicep curls(rubber band things), a little running etc

Alright. I got 6 weeks until my next worldwide tour, and don't have time during the day to hit the gym. I need you guys to help me put together an intense workout program to make sure I'm tightened up. I'm gonna skip the resistance bands for now. Here's what I got at my disposal:
Jump rope- HIIT training
25 lb kettle bell
14 lb medicine ball
pull up bar
dip bar
That's it. Is there anyway I can use this equipment to get a whole body workout. I'd like to cheat just a little on the biceps, until I hit the gym on my tour.

Ali did you ever use the bodylastics stuff? Are they good for maintaining your physique on the road?

Interesting workout without a pullup bar.

If you're the type who has been an avid lifter for years, you've probably experienced the following situations: Your joints have gotten achy from all the heavy weights, you've gotten bored with your workouts, or that great job you have sends you on the road with limited time and space to work out. There's a simple, easy, versatile solution to all three—resistance bands. If you've got achy joints, or are slowly recovering from an injury, bands are a lower-impact option to build muscle while keeping your joints out of harm's way. If you're bored to death with your current workouts, bands create a new way to stimulate muscle growth by making it easier to control the resistance and keep it consistently on the targeted muscle. Or, if you're stuck in a hotel room for days on end, bands are easy enough to pack for a workout just about anywhere.
Men’s Fitness met with Equinox Tier 4 coach Josh Stolz for a demonstration of a six-move, full-body circuit suitable for anyone.

EXERCISE-SPECIFIC BENEFITS:
The band-thruster is a two-in-one exercise that strengthens the legs, shoulders, and triceps.
Bentover rows strengthen the back and shoulders (rear deltoids).
The resisted pushup strengthens the upper body while focusing on the chest, shoulders, and triceps. Using the resistance bands bumps up the intensity to your traditional pushup.
Reverse Flyes are an isolation exercise that singles out the shoulders, more specifically the rear delts.
The Monster Walk is a lower-body exercise that strengthens the quads and glutes. The monster walk is also an effective prehab exercise to warm up the hips and hip flexors.
Split squat to curls are a two-in-one exercise that targets the quads, glutes, and hamstrings while also increasing strength in the biceps and forearms.
Looks good in theory, but I've not gave it a whirl. It is about the most efficient band workout I've seen for traveling, especially while not needing door anchors or pullup bars. Discussion is more than welcome. I'm inspecting my bands right now for dry rot. Forgot and left them outside (garage) in the 20 degree weather.

Great article. Working out in the hotel room is fine, but I know a lot of people that lay or do pushups on the carpet.
I don't think there's anything dirtier in this world, save for Lindy West's toilet. Do the pushups, cruntches, pilates, ect. at least on the tile. If you guys knew me, you'd know why.
Don't touch the bedspread, phone, tv buttons, or remote either. Especially the remote.

Put a towel down and stop being a prima donna.
