Man, its amazing how reading one data sheet can make you want to go somewhere that you previously didn't know existed so bad. Great stuff. Also, seeing that huge cruise ship really makes me want to go on a European cruise and see what kind of talent would be on it.

Thanks Vicious

From reading the posts it sounds like there's a Rooshvforum Helsingborg Summer Meetup brewing...

I know you mentioned that vacatioing in the summer is the best time. However, is there a particular week or couple of weeks that you would recommend going? Is there some summer festival or large event that brings out the crowds, or is the partying non-stop every day, all summer long? I'm guessing there's an equivelent spring break' or Memorial Day celebration that takes place there, and brings out the hunnies?

Helsingborg doesn't serve up any real festivals. For that you'll want to go to Gothenburg. The very peak weeks would be last half of July and first week of August. That's when it's the hottest. Because of the short summers however anything from late June to late August will serve you well.

Vicious,

Since you write about summer in Helsingborg. I want to ask about Midsummer. I read that Midsummer festivities in Scandinavian countries are highly celebrated other than Christmas and so I'd like to participate and experience it at least once.

Would Helsingborg be a good place for Midsummer festivities? How exciting are they? What's the viability of getting laid in these events.

Are there any that are open to foreigners? If none, how does one get in?
I can only think of using couchsurfing.com if the local members are organizing an event.

Thanks for your input.

EF, midsummer festivities can be experienced in any part of the country. Like christmas they are mostly arranged between family and friends. So you basically have to know someone. Because of this I recommend midsummer for the cultural experience but not for gaming.

Finland nordic, not scandinavian.
The summer is quite nice over there. Surprisingly sunny.

@vicious I looked up all of GBG threads and didn't find any datasheets. Can you link to the one you mentioned?

I've never considered Skåne before, I've been to Malmö a couple of times and it's a right shithole. Next stop HBG!

Interesting datasheet Vicious.

How long is it from Copenhagen by public transport (seems pretty close on the map) for someone who wants to combine the two places

With the bullet train you'll be in Copenhagen in 90 min for under $40.

Bullet train?...when did they start?...I was there in Oct and it was about 35 minutes Malmo to Copenhagen across the long bridge in a normal train....Denmark...where the women wear the trousers and cycle everywhere but are very friendly and some cuties for sure.

Bullet train's been running since 10+ years back. It's closer to Copenhagen from Malmö than to Helsingborg. Malmö and Copenhagen just has that bridge between them and is by many considered part of the same metropolitan area.
