Is it anywhere near affordable again now? Or still $15 for a vodka redbull and $70 club entry?

No,it's actually 15 euro vodka+red bull [Image: biggrin.gif] If you go for 2 days and book it 2 days earlier, would be pricey. If you go there for a month though, preferably in June,so that you can book better accommodation,it's quite cheap. The entry for the big clubs is 0-70,but for nearly any night it's not hard to get in for free

$15 for a drink is about right.
I probably only drank about 2 beers each night so it wasn't too bad. (Plus some other stuff costed about $10 a night [Image: wink.gif]
$70 club entry though? That is a complete rip off.
I was there last summer and the most I paid was $40 to see DeadMau5 and Paul Van Dyk at Amnesia.
David Guetta and Afrojack was $35.
Tiesto was $30.
I met a promoter at the beach and he got me into Amnesia for free my last night there.
Beautiful island in the summer.

Actually F me Im Famous is 70 regular price,so if you paid full price it's more like 35 per DJ.But as I said most of those parties are easy to get in for free, and nearly all are extremely easy to get in for half price

What about a data sheet instead?

I think a large portion of this forum would have already been to Ibizia and I guess I would like to know if anything has changed? I kind of see it as the McDonalds of holiday destinations for teeny boppers and pill heads, and it was past it 10 years ago already. Maybe things have changed a bit though?

Now Im all for drug fuelled binges, but Ibiza was kind of like Europes Jersey Shore in my view

I was their all of July. I stayed on the Ibiza City/Playa de Bossa side and only went one night to San Antoni. Many described Ibiza to me as Sexfest before I went. I didn't notice that. Most people I felt were there for the music first, drugs second and then maybe sex. Someone I met there told me that things have changed and it use to be more easy sex. Could you confirm or elaborate on this? It was not as wild as it was hyped to me before I left.

@fman,I'll edit my initial post with a datasheet and answer the questions that were asked

EDIT: "Sorry but you cannot edit your post. The Administrator has set it so that posts can only be edited within 60 minutes of posting."

Should I post it here or make a new topic with a datasheet?

Ibiza - data sheet

Ibiza is a magical place on this earth for every self-proclaimed party animal. It's population in the summer is quite international, you can meet people from Brazil to Russia.I'll write down what I know about this place, based on 6 months in total spent there.I'm quite young, was working there and got by on quite a limited budget, considering how much I partied. This will be quite long,so bring popcorn,or better-a protein shake and start reading.

Towns : The island is not very big,but if you're going there only for a short holiday,I'd recommend you to stay in San Antonio/Ibiza town or Playa den Bossa.Maybe Ibiza town would be best, because if you don't have a camera, most of the clubs are a bus ride away and you can get directly to pretty much anywhere around the island.

Nightclubs: This is THE clubbers mecca. The Silicon Valley of parting.By far!Period. There are as many famous DJs playing on the island on a night, that most resorts get for a season.Let's start with the big clubs:

Space-went to probably over 50 parties there this year.It was selected number 1 club in the world this year by the fans and for a reason. The season on the island is pretty much opened and closed (end of May -beginning of October) by Space. On those parties 10k+ people go through the door. The club has 2 huge rooms,2 smaller and 2 chill out areas, one of which is an outdoor terrace where you can pull girls before pulling out of the club. The outdoor terrace feels like a lounge. The best night would depend on what type of music do you like.I also find it stupid when people say that there are hot girls on some particular night in a big city, considering people come and leave every day.In order of popularity I'd say Sunday(tech/house),Tuesday(Carl Cox),Wednesday(Trance,Armin van Buuren moved his residency there this year),Friday (Dubstep, drum n bass, techno) are the more popular.Monday wasn't very big and Saturday had free entry. It was supposed to be some pervert party.
How to get in for free/half price:For the bigger nights, considering you just landed on the island,I'd recommend you go to San Antonio in the afternoon or the evening on the strip along the central beach or the sunset strip and ask around for the Space promoters. Then introduce yourself and tell them you work at [insert name of a bar, preferably further away] and if they could get you on the free workers guest list.If it's a big party and it's the peak of the season,it may be 20 euro on the door.
Pacha The club is considered having a more posh crowd, but again-pretty much no one who has bought his ticket gets turned down. The biggest nights there were Monday and Thursday, which are quite commercial with SHM and Guetta as residents.Sunday was also big with Luciano as a resident, playing deep sexy house and the girls getting horny. One party I'd definitely recommend you is The Flower Power-must go if you are into hippy chicks. It's only 6-7 Tuesdays throughout the whole summer, the music is 60s and everybody dresses accordingly.Magical [Image: smile.gif] Getting for free to Pacha compared to the other clubs is harder. Will discuss getting in overall later.
Amnesia-Crazy place. You might get searched on the door, but once you're in,everything goes. It's packed on pretty much every night. The most popular nights there are the infamous Cocoon on Monday, which is minimal tech/house and attracts relatively hardcore party animals.Mainly Spanish and Italian.Tuesday was quite good this year with Eric Prydz and other dubstep, drum and bass, techno DJs throughout the summer.Wednesday...I went there once in the end of September for the closing and had maybe the funniest hour in my life.Disclaimer-it's relatively tranny show in one of the rooms(It's actually a tranny show, but I guarantee you that the female dancers are not trannies). The other one is relatively commercial house music and nothing special.I nearly gave a birthday kiss to some Brazilian tranny, but while we were talking I sensed a guy,so stepped aside.Went over to my friend and asked him if he thinks that was a dude.He said "Yeah,of course"."WTF?Thanks for letting me know".On the next day saw the tranny with a neckerchief dancing with some dude in Space and was seriously tempted whether to be a good brother and write him down a note on my mobile phone "She is actually he" and put it on the side of the tranny's neck so that he can't see it.Decided not to.Nobody warned me after all.2 minutes later they were making out,I was laughing.Anyway, let's get back to the funniest hour I had at this foam party and how to prepare for it.
1.Go to Amnesia Wednesday night at 5 AM
2.Don't bring a lot more than a pair of trunks.Don't forget to build an aesthetic physique before heading to the island.
3.Profit
I guess you guys have played Nintendo games.Do you remember the bonus levels where you are just collecting coins? That pretty much sums it up.
Bringing some inflatable swimming dragon does work.I made out with some Moldovan chick after I borrowed one from a couple of guys and ran in slow mo to her, then got her like a caveman for a ride.I went onto a couple more makeouts, one of which was approximately 8 seconds after I saw her dancing in front of her friends camera,in 30 seconds my middle finger was down to business,5 seconds later the index one joined,5 seconds later her friend with the camera realized what was going on and told her friend "WTF?" and gave her a "shame on you" face.I guess in peak season, would be even more wild in the foam, considering there's more people.
Thursday is quite big and established party, called Cream with Trance/Electro house mainly. The crowd is very British, but there are also people from everywhere
Friday is I want my MTV Ibiza, which is quite commercial excluding 1-2 nights throughout the summer,so I guess it would attract a lot of girls.Snoop Dogg and 50 cent rapped there, but heard it was super-packed.
Saturday is very Spanish/Italian crowd and attracts fags and girls who don't know the party attracts mainly fags.
Sunday is commercial music, with some cool names invited and again ends with an espuma party. So if you want to go to a foam party,I'd recommend you going to Space on Sunday and heading to Amnesia near 5 AM.
Privilege
- It's said to be the world's biggest club, but the shape of it is like a hangar,so it feels more like an indoor concert.Has a few chill out areas on the sides on the bigger nights.Tiesto(the crowd is international) is there on Monday and on Friday it's Supermartxe, which is a porn party and the crowd on Friday is again mainly Spanish/Italian sex-starved girls. It's easy to get in for free in Privilege on most nights, for Monday and Friday apply the advice that I've written down for Space. You'll probably have to pay 20 euros if it's in peak season
Underground - located very close to Privilege,a lot of locals and other Spanish people go there.I haven't been there myself, but heard Saturday was busier, because of the Zoo Project, which is also not far away. The entry is 10 euros.
The Zoo - Located in an abandoned Zoo ,close to San Antonio on the road of Ibiza,it's opened on Wednesday and Saturday.Wed is easy to get in for free,it's mainly people who work on the island.Saturday is with a few thousand people. For tips about getting in-PM me before you head to the island. It opens at 4 pm and closes at midnight. The crowd is mainly British/Spanish,I'd say it's good for picking up girls, because it has a lot of quieter spaces and the girls are getting quite drunk quite fast.I'd say it's not even impossible to score in some more secluded area.
Ushuaia It's located opposite Space, right next to the Playa den Bossa beach. It was quite popular this season. It used to be a cheap bar like Bora Bora, but was made into a luxury 5-star hotel which has a large area between the apartments and they were hosting parties pretty much everyday.Opened 4-12,the closing went on until 3 AM.They're trying to attract the VIP,rich kids, wanna be rich, rich, models crowd.I'd say it's also very good for picking up girls, because it's not super loud, great vibe and there isn't a lack of beautiful chicks there.I don't know who will they invite so if you want to ask me about a night next year,PM me.You could get in free/discounted with some wristbands on the smaller parties. How to get free on smaller and discounted on big nights without a lot of hassle-PM me before you go for tips. The crowd is very international
Es Paradis-located in San Antonio,I've been there a few times, but don't really like it.There are water parties Monday and Thursday but the water isn't on until 5 AM.
Eden-Again from my experience not much to get excited about and that you can't find in better shape around the island.I'd recommend Thursday there as its a hip hop party and different music-wise compared to the other places on the island.Busta Rhymes,Tinchy Stryder,Sean Paul rapped there this summer.Crowd in the last 2 is mainly British.
DC10 A lot to get excited about. This place is amazing. One of the best clubs in the world. It's opened Monday/Wednesday/Friday.Monday is a day/night party and the opening and closing are -+1 day with the Space one's.Then it's opened from noon until 6-7 AM Tuesday morning. It can get quite packed, has 2 big rooms and one outdoor area. The crowd has a lot of English,Spanish and Italian people. The music is techno and house.Wednesday and Friday in general aren't as popular.Only one of the rooms is opened.Whatever music you like though,I do believe this place can change your perception of electronic music.I'll separate the crowds in a few different categories later.
Planes can fly over people's heads in that club even when there are no airplanes in the sky.Make the conclusion for yourself.Proper party chicks there to sum up.

Bars

I'd recommend Bora Bora, the music is on from 4 pm,peaks in the afternoon, but in the night is dead.Mambo,Savannah,Cafe Del Mar are also popular. They're all in San Antonio and people go there for the sunset. The first to do pre-parties and invite DJs who later play in the clubs there.A lot of people float over, most on the rocks nearby to watch the sunset, but they're mainly in groups,so I'd recommend go down for dinner there with a girl you've already met.
La Plage is also quite good. It's located near Bora Bora and they were doing quite a lot of after parties, especially around the opening/closing parties.
Blue Marlin-it's located on one beach,it's hard to get there if you don't have a car.You can rent a taxi, but might be pricey. The crowd there is more affluent, the model girls usually go there during the day if that's what you're after(aren't we all, yeah),but some people complain about people being very snobby there.La Plage also has rich clients, most people prefer the atmosphere there.

Lounges/Restaurants
I don't eat out, because I can't afford it,but for more "classy" lounges I'd recommend you those:KM5(located 5 km from Ibiza town, not far away from the airport),Bamboodha Grove(it's more in the Eastern part, again you'll need a car),it looks like a small village.L'Elephant is a restaurant near Privilege, haven't been at that one and can't tell you if it's like a lounge where you can go around and pick up girls like the first 2,or is more of a restaurant where people sit down to eat.Lio definitely was a very popular rich kids playground, owned by the Pacha brand

Crowds and some tips to get in
You're either "in" or you're "out".The reason i told you it's easy to get in for free in the clubs is simple.Let's say on some night in a top club in London there are 68 people that can get you in.In Ibiza there are 432.Plus it's easier to hook up with/find/become friends with 1/432 in Ibiza than 1/68 in London. So some type of crowds now.(there maybe hot girls in all of them,I'm definitely not the type of person who thinks that a girl, who wasn't privileged enough that her daddy is rich or that doesn't work for Victoria Secrets is not high-class,not worth it or whatever negative)
1)People who don't know where the fuck they are.You can find them at all of the places, they usually go to the cheap bars or the more commercial nights
2)The crowd in the more commercial nights may seem to have more girls,as the Russian ones say with a strong accent: "We don't like music that's tuptza tuptza tuptza. We like music with "text"" lol.Fewer girls on drugs in general.Though in the electro house parties which also tend to be with a little bit more commercial music, you definitely don't have pillheads
3)At the more underground techno/house nights most of the crowd is really into the music and the scene in general. They define pretty much everything mainstream corny,shit,cheesy,cheese...In general a lot more stoned people on those nights. They also tend to be repelled by the rich crowd and the vip areas and say that they're not there for the music and how everything's commercializing.
4)The more posh crowd-a lot of them are pretentious betas, some are ballers, like one dude who had booked the whole area above the DJs at the Amnesia closing party, surrounded by girls only and after a 5-minute neck massage, went on the side, pulled out a dozen 500 euro notes and paid her 1.5k!
So if we're talking about "insider" crowds you want to penetrate, one of them is the ones that are into the music and are connected.I'd recommend you go to DC10 and meet people there. If you want to get connected in the rich people crowd, that's Saint-Tropez like with the celebrities and shit,I'd recommend you the lounges I've mentioned above. If you have the money, the fame or just the connections, there are some areas in the nightclubs that remain unseen by the public. If entering them would increase your ego,go for it.There are also some private parties all the time, some tech/house DJs play there and are invitation only and remain unknown to the public. Also a great way if you want to get connected on the island is spending time there off-season,then it's even easier, because all the owners of the clubs and people working there are not in work mode and pretty much everybody knows everybody.
Beaches- A lot of the famous beaches can be seen in the tourist guides,I'd recommend you Ses Salines for picking up girls,it's near the airport, after DC10 and attracts quite a lot of models. There aren't a lot of bars there,so you can pick up more cost-effectively.Playa den Bossa is of course also quite popular, recommended you two bars there already.Blue Marlin if you have the money, can also be fun.
The more beautiful beaches with the crystal clear water though are in Formentera,it's South from Ibiza,an hour-ride with the ferry for 20 euro return from Playa den Bossa or Ibiza town. Also great places to go around, pick up girls and be grateful to God or whatever you believe in that you've had the chance to experience all of this.
I pulled 2 really hot Russian girls on the beach in a week.Would recommend you for a 2nd time to go on the island with a car and drive around the girls.Otherwise, the logistics can be hard or expensive with a taxi.If you're going to pull, pull to smaller, more secluded beaches, watch the sunrise or the sunset and make sweet passionate love.Salute.

Safety Let's talk about safety and what can be dangerous-murders are definitely not more often than any other place.Quite rare.Don't drink/do drugs and drive!(Maybe you're thinking "Are you stupid?Do you think that I don't know that").So I'll write it down again Don't drink/do drugs and drive!.I'd also recommend you to have your eyes always wide opened when driving a car.Scooters can be relatively dangerous, because if you get hit by some stoned fucker, you're out pretty much. But still definitely the cheapest way of transportation is to by a scooter from mainland Spain and go with it on the island, then resell it after 1-2 months if you wish.
The most common crime is definitely theft. All over the place.Lotar Mateus got punched and his stuff stolen on the airport. There was 1 hotel in San Antonio, all of which rooms got robbed twice in under 10 days.In other hotels things get stolen all the time.I'll do my accommodation advice in the end.
Also don't pull on the central beaches, never leave your stuff unattended,if you stay for the summer, make sure you change the key-lock of your apartment asap.
Drugs-A lot of people associate the island with drugs,it's like Amsterdam, where people who have never taken and never will take again drugs feel they MUST smoke pot.Drugs on the island can be found everywhere, the quality is very risky. It's actually risky from wherever you buy drugs, you never know if it's a placebo.I,myself have never done anything and nobody said shit.So I find it ridiculous when someone dies from drug usage, the older people think it was his friends' or the dealers fault. While in reality,if you say you don't do anything, the most common response from people who do all the time is "Great!Make sure you keep it that way!" and never mention the topic again.

Hippy markets- I've been to two-one in Es Cana and one near the airport and both of them sucked from my experience.Nothing to get excited about, looked like some Turkish street market selling fakes.

Money/Accomodation-while let's say if you go to Odessa,I think even if you want to be balling,it's hard to spend a lot of money,in Ibiza it definitely isn't.However the island may definitely be done in a very limited budget. When I see some of you guys bragging what a great bargain you got on some place in Eastern Europe it makes me burst out of laughing, seeing that the people get some touristic inflated prices. They may answer back "Yeah,I'm a baller,I don't care",while in reality you're most likely not a baller. And why shouldn't you get a 4 bed apartment with a sunset view for 1000 euros, instead of some one-room apartment?
The hotels are quite expensive especially in peak season. The apartments and the housing is very cheap. If you plan to spend 1-2 months there in the summer,I'd recommend you either go down in the end of May or just fly over in the Spring for a few days to set something up.One house that can be rented for around 5 people 500 euros directly from the owner, after a couple of middle man would cost you near 2000 euros if you rent it monthly. If you don't know anybody,I'd recommend you buying some local newspaper and go through the ads.If you go in the middle of the season for a month, you'd be paying 3-500 euros for a room in a shared apartment.WILL WRITE THIS WITH CAPITAL LETTERS: "SCREEN THE ROOMMATES REALLY WELL".Quite a lot of junk there.
One apartment on the sunset strip in San Antonio with 3-4 beds, would be 600-1000 a month if you get it from the owner. If you buy food only from the supermarket and eat healthy, you wouldn't be spending more than 300 a month for food, without limiting yourself in anyway

And for dessert - Russian girls.Last year I don't remember meeting any,but this year, they were all over the place.I think they've started some Moscow-Ibiza flights.I was seeing them all over the place, can't say a specific area.

So that pretty much sums up quite a lot more than everything you need to know about the island. This is so long,I could've written a book about it.In fact,I'll give you my paypal account on PM for donation of 2.99

Ibiza - ask me anything

fman, missed to talk about the girls, yeah.
There are girls from all over the planet as I mentioned, the island also attracts celebrities, top models, nobody in his right mind can complain about quality. Some guys wrote down on the threads before too that girls go there for the music and stuff.I wrote already there are girls who aren't so much into the scene and when they go to some techno party have no idea wtf is going on.Those wouldn't mind leaving the club.I would definitely attribute any pulling on the dance floor to my good looks, sick dancing skills and dominance. It's hard to mesmerize them with my intellectual skills or sense of humor when it's so loud.If you can take them outside of the venue, don't have the right to complain about it.Logistics can be harder if the club is in the middle between your places,15 km from both.
I mentioned, most of the places have quieter areas as you probably know.In San Antonio it's mainly British, some German,Dutch girls too.If you go around the West End,it maybe easier to pull and I bet there would be good-looking girls, however I find the bars there to be mainly cheap quality with people puking and girls zig-zagging down the streets.
I don't know if you experienced this, but the downside of staying for too long maybe that you get spoiled and used to everything and don't fully appreciate every single day.
I don't speak neither Spanish or Italian,so most of the conversations were ending with "No intendiendo Ingles" or "I no speaky Engli.I Spani" or some utter rejection.
The only Spanish with which it went well was at the Space closing, she was definitely trouble, some small girlie that went for some heavy makeouts, grinding and then choking me and slapping me relatively hard and saying "Bau" wtf? After half an hour I wanted to go for the pull, but she didn't want to leave,my phone was broken,so gave her my email and never to be seen again.

Hey,where's my rep? No,seriously?I do mean it!Now that hopefully we have that covered,I'd not recommend you to use the ferry, because it just doesn't make any sense. The flights from Madrid/Valencia/Barcelona are a lot cheaper and take an hour vs. 5-6-7 hours with the ferry.
Let's breakdown in short the opening/closing parties. The first opening parties (Pacha,Space,DC10,Ushuaia are in the end of May),the last closing parties are the first weekend of October usually and you can add Amnesia and Privilege to the list. But every club has different parties every night, with different theme and different promoters. So those above were the club opening/closing parties. The separate nights open/close throughout June and September. The peak season is definitely the first half of August, when it's super packed,if you're staying in a hotel, the prices vastly increase too. This is when the rich kids usually go,so there's some one-off parties at different venues,to take advantage of the packed island.
But hey, even in the first half of September,it's warm during the nights and you can pull on the beach and engrave magical moments in your life book that you'll go back to with a smile until your last day

Hmm.. PE - I did visit ibiza in 2006 with whole bunch of PUAs from all over. The gathering was called Project Ibiza or something. Had an awesome time & learnt a lot. But fact is back then I was too new for the HIGH ENERGY CLUB scene and wondering how one could game there. I realized later during my stay that it was all Energy game. Dance floor etc..

But we all realized one thing. The parties go on longer & later, so at times you might be ready to PULL, but the chics want to keep dancing and not want to go. So, its a very different beast. Given the high energy scenario.. high flakiness.. you could be in with a girl.. and next moment she's gone.. The VIBE is super high energy and haphazard.

Then again.. I was there for a week or so and was learning the ropes.

I'd love to pick your brains more on this and maybe do another trip if I hit Europe next year.

Ha I'm sure some ecstasy could give you the energy to stay longer, have super high energy and great vibe, and really just enjoy yourself at those parties that last forever. I tried it this last Christmas and I got with a girl and she I could tell she was ready to go but I just wanted to stay and keep dancing to the electronic music with her hahaha.... Guess we shouldn't be relying on drugs though!

Great sheet. Any thoughts on how Americans are received, whether race plays an issue there, what girls are the most DTF (what nationality/locals?), do you have to bring chicks to get into the clubs, ...

I get it. Redbull was good enough to keep us up all night. The observation made by some was your F-closing can only happen much much later in the night.. or should I say as it gets close to the morning.
