It seems G Manifesto had a very similar experience and write-up.

Awesome writeup Roosh. +1 rep

Have you tried GManifesto method yet of going out custom suited? I remember a few high-class clubs in oldtown Riga with a tough door policy when I was there (6 years back) but lot's of model look alikes. Those places might be a bit more receptive to foreigners as they attract a more educated-traveled class vs. local dive pub which would have high % of disgruntled ethnic Russians.

Again, my experience in Riga, was that the high end Latvian clubs want to stay high end LATVIAN clubs. There is a lot of money in Riga, but the typical american thought of I have money, they are going to want my money doesnt work there. I was out with a well known/regarded latvian that ownes radio stations and owned a club that was top for 8 years (unheard of) and he STILL had to do some talking to the door guy to let me in, saying he would be responsible etc The high end local clubs dont want foreigners inside.

Also I found it was critical to mention I was NOT from the UK within the first few seconds of talking to women there, they HATE the asshole UK stag guys that come through. Their demeanor completely changes when they find out you are an american.

Roosh, I have a video of a few girls I picked up at the McDonalds, I will see if I can find it and post, its hilarious.

What a load of sh*t.

The most drunk English guy is nothing in comparison to a fat, loud-mouthed, obnoxious, badly-dressed American that plague Europe. Good job more Americans don't get passports.

Over 80% of visitors here are American. Feel free to stand up for your country but you won't get a lot of sympathy from those who have witnessed the actions (and results) of Brits abroad.

I don't think the fat, obnoxious, loud-mouthed Americans frequent the places Roosh goes to. The sorts of people you are referring to are people who go to see the sights, and hardly any John Q. Public Americans are likely going to Latvia. Hell, they probably have never even heard of it or think it's some place in Pennsylvania.

Italians are not that far behind. I have personally witnessed the results of scores of Italian men recently invading Medellin, and over-valuing local women in attempt of desperate sex....[Image: dodgy.gif]

Might be good to view any over-eager Brits and Italians, or whomever you find annoying, as canaries in the coal mine.

Right now, few need/want to go to, say, rural Cambodia. But in 10-15 years.. when you're 10-15 years older, and even tertiary cities in EE have had 10-15 years of "Jersey Shore" indoctrination.....who knows.

There is no advantage whatsoever to being American in the Baltics , or anywhere for that matter. You lot really need to get over yourselves. You think a bunch of drunken idiots out for a night on the town is going to influence an entire city of women to never sleep with British men again? Nobody likes to associate themselves with a bunch of load mouthed drunks... so don't. A drunk obnoxious Brit is far more attractive than a drunk obnoxious American... My point being is if you carry yourself well nobody cares where you are from.

Congrats to Brits for being the most attractive, obnoxious drunks out there.

So drunk Brits screwed up Lativa. Fat, old Americans screwed up Colombia.

I really don't see the problem with these statements since they are based on reality.

I dont want to contribute to the thread offshooting (even tho I am about to) but I will be the first to admit fat, obnoxious americans abroad are annoying, which is why I dont like to hang out with the majority of them. What I am speaking from is my experience. As I traveled around, pretty much anywhere Ryanair went, and large amounts of British stag parties, people would bitch about them. Hell, all over prague were signs saying no stag parties on doors. Also, while Americans can be pompus assholes, they generally dont start fights and again IME British guys are knows for getting drunk and starting fights, sort of like americans in cancun.

AGAIN IME, Riga woman were MUCH MUCH MUCH more open when I told them in the first few seconds I was not from England. THEY told me the British guys would get drunk, grab/grope women and were rude, loud and obnoxious and start fights, so not only I was told it by them, I SAW it while I was there, the frat boy personality.

Yes, richie, a bunch of loudmouth drunks from any country can influence women in a city. Especially a city that is relatively small like Riga. I have been there, I am not speaking conjecture. People from Riga talk a lot of shit about British men. Its not an attack from me on Britain, its an observation. I was tired of the loud mouth assholes while I was there, and I was only there around 2 weeks, I could only imagine if I lived there. Side note, I dont go to Jersey Shore anymore because of those idiots either, I am equal opportunity.

the problem w/Brit stag parties is they are constantly hammered and in large groups. Its probably rare to get a large group of young American males traveling together in most European countries.

I totally agree with clr and Roosh when it comes to Riga...I would just add that the attention of the girls there is slightly improved (and I would even say dramatically sometimes) when you're social proofed by another latvian girl (not even good looking)

Stag doo culture is an inside joke all across Europe and it's been that way for 15 years. I have been on them and I bitch about them. Europeans bitch about them to my face, and I concur. The guy pissing in the fountain is a story you will hear as soon as you step foot in Riga. Everyone shakes their head and has a little chuckle. If you are not on a stag doo then it's not going to effect you no matter where you are from.
The girl you talked about opened up to you because she liked you... not because you were American. Just need to get this straight.

When I was in Riga there was a group of about 6 young British lads staying at my hostel. I believe at least 3 of them got lucky on one Saturday night. They attracted a lot of attention from the younger girls by dancing around with them on their shoulders. I actually lost out to a really cute 18 year old because she wanted to go and join in the debauchery : (

It wasnt one woman, it was about 90 percent of the time I could visually see a girl relax when I told her I was NOT from Britain, and I was from America, unfortunately it appears to me that the negativity is not just towards stag parties but to all British men. Sort of like how you dont just have to be a fat old guy to be viewed as a sex tourist in Colombia [Image: smile.gif]

Off topic slightly but it looks like Roosh has a new latvian stalker/blog groupy sending emails too him...kinda like a less crazy and thankfully less verbose Anouk (as far as I know the last crazy bitch to email stalk him)

Am I the only one here that thinks these crazy bitches are massively turned on by getting any attention at all from a man so obviously pre-selected by the ladies and so aloof with them... much like Roissy has several chick commentators on his blog than put up moronic tripe and then have to change their panties when the editor lowers himself to respond with brief comments to their trollery...

Females - once you understand their fucked up wiring, makes it kinda hard to respect them...

CLR you're clearly a troll, no rational person could make such a statement.

Like Richie said, doesn't matter where you're from, if she likes you she likes you. Doesn't matter where you're from

Okay British guys are great, who cares. Looks like there is some sensitivity to talking about them. Let's keep this thread on the topic of Riga and Latvia. Anyone is more than welcome to start a spinoff thread about British vs American guys.

Roosh - Do you have a sense for the look that might work best in Latvia? I ask since you said the Polish girls were all over the Spanish look. Any feature you see giving someone a visual edge since you said glances are harder to come by?
