Where can you buy the cheapest super mansion houses?

THIS is a bargain mansion. The pool itself is worth 1.5 million by most designers.

The house seems nice enough, but I can't imagine actually using everything they stuffed into it.

Funniest part was that they tried to demonstrate how close the beach was by driving to a small airport and flying there in a helicopter. I never saw a beach and the house in the same shot. Not even from that helicopter.

McMansions are trash. Built cheaply by developers, and look tacky as hell. You should never try and build a legacy with a McMansion. Get something historic instead, but it'll cost you a lot more than these cheap places built today.

And you definitely want some land, look how close these houses are together:

The bigger the house the more money to maintain it. You may end up being owned by the house instead of you owning the house.

More space to heat/cool/clean too. I love coming back to my apartment in winter after being away for a few weeks, flicking on the heat and it's warm in 30 minutes.

Would probably take a few days in a mansion.

Midwest and the South are gonna be pretty hard to beat on value for oversized houses.

You can can get some beautiful ones in New England in nice areas with scenic views.

The average size of houses are much bigger in the US than any other country in the world.

Las Vegas and Phoenix is cheap by West Coast standards. You could get a decent sized house for a quarter of a million

Check Queretaro in Mexico. Its the local Beverly Hills and where all the narcos families go to live due to be the safest region in the country and the fact that is far enough from the north states to avoid a narco war.

Some incredible houses in the 500k-1mln usd range.

That aqueduct in Queretaro is quite amazing. Reminds me of the Roman Forum, except intact.

Ultimately, we should care more about being effective than simply nobly intentioned. It is not enough to dream well: the true measure is what we achieve.

Wasn't the narco money the reason Ronaldihno played there?

Mid-sized Midwestern cities such as Omaha and Des Moines offer great value. Inexpensive real estate and engaging cities. Sure, South Dakota is cheaper but there's really nothing to do there.

Colombia is a great place to look out for this types of properties. The 80´s and 90´s left a bunch of stupidly big houses confiscated by the government. They usually come out for sale though the state department for a fraction of the real price. Yes, they are quite old and some of them have been scavanged by treasure hunters, but the investment needed for a revamp is meaningless compared to the real price. They would range from 300k up to a mill or two.

This is a news report from the local newspaper in Cali. One of the most luxuries social clubs in the city is called " Club Colombia". It is very hard to get in and you wont be addmitted especially if you have bonds with drugs. Whe he got rejected from said social club, he stole the blueprints and built an exact replica of the club, even importing from the switzerland the same wooden bear they had as its logo in the club.

This haouse has more than 5300 meters and is valued in 1.6 million. It is incredibly gigantic.

$100k is standard in most of the developing the worldwide to get a baller type mansion. The land is the biggest hurdle as you may not be able to own it as a foreigner. You're better off getting the land now and then working slowly to build, with time, down the road.

I know technically it doesn't belong in here, but FYI:

'An older apartment has an average price tag of 486,000, whereas an older house costs an average of €813,000.'
https://today.rtl.lu/news/luxembourg/1328709.html

An OLDER house costs almost 1 million$ and we are not talking about a mansion. Luxembourg, despite being first-world, is just almost impossible to have a life on your own, except if you want squish yourself in a studio and if you live very frugal AND if you don't own a car (you must pay a lot of taxes on cars + fuel + insurance + control every now and then) AND if you get somewhat above the minimum wage.

In that case if you have 1000$ per month in some third world place, you might have a much better life...

When you're 14 years old you dream of living in a mansion with a couple of Ferraris ad Lamborghinis parked in the front just next to your huge fountain. But the older you get the more you realized that it doesn't make sense.

How could it be practical to own a 8 bedroom house? You'll have to maintain and clean all of it permanently. Dust settles faster than you think and it's not a pleasurable experience taking care of the mess twice a week. Heating and cooling can also be a huge pain in the butt and to me it just doesn't feel comfortable living in a space so huge you don't even know what's going on on the other side of your house.

Since there's usually not a lot of vacant space in high demand places such as cities and waterfronts you'll be left with the option to buy land or a mansion somewhere in the backwoods. Which can get somewhat dull even if you're outdoorsy and into hunting. Sure, you could be a billionaire who can hire servants, cooks and landscapers. But let's just be realistic for a second.

I'd take a nice condo with ocean sight in a lively beach town any day over a big mansion. 60-80 sqm is more than enough for one person. Even if you have a girlfriend or a wife.

Queretaro is pretty meh. If you're looking for a place where narcos retire and their families live look no further than EdoMex.

If you look at the view behind Jeff Berwick founder of The Dollar Vigilante in Acapulco from his home studio... he mentions he rents a "Rockstar" level home with a spectacular view especially on clear sunny most days with a utilities, maid/cook and a driver for about $3K USD per month total. Claims if you stay out of the Narco biz (Do not do or sell or traffic illegal drugs) and stay out of Narco trafficante areas things are relatively safe and very cheap cost of living in Acapulco due to most Normies and tourists terrified away by US State Department and Media Narco Wars warnings.

Of course, his TDV Anarcapulco Annual Conference brings thousands of his viewers and subscribers and a huge amount of both hard money and crypto cash into the Area and he has some local guys he describes as Billionaire Hotel Owners a.k.a. Oligarchs looking out for him.

As one of the wealthiest guys I know likes to say "it's not what you own but what you control" ...

Not really. While money generally goes further in the developing world, thing only tend to be cheaper if they exist. You may get baller "relative to other local properties" or find baller hasn't been built and you need to arrange the building yourself or the people already owning baller places are not going to part with them for a meager 100kilo dollars.

*Eastern Europe pointedly does not count as developing in this context. Baller places in Easter Europe can be had relatively cheap because the place is developed.

The Hamptons or Malibu.

Uh, he asked cheap, bro. Malibu and The Hamptons are two of the most prime real estates in the country and world. Not only will it be expensive, it will be MANY multiples more expensive simply for being in LA or the Hamptons.

If you have a tight social circle, having a mansion could be a cool way to all hang out there. IF you go to go cheap, then third world is your best bet. You and all your mates could go down there for a weekend and live out of the mansion. Not a terrible idea. I'd look around South America. Find an area that is nicer and split the payment for the house with a few friends. Maybe agree you'll live down there full time to manage it. You'd have to work remotely or find a job there though.

The problem with this of course is that you have to live in South America. That's why places like LA and NYC are so much more expensive. With mansions and everything else. There's way more demand. So it's a trade off. In South America at least, you could make it an adventure for a year or two. I wouldn't go so far to say try out fucking Africa but I'll admit I've randomly looked at Mogadishu mansions when I was bored. There was just something funny about it to me. In that case it's not worth the cheapness obviously.

Also, Dan Bilzerian is renting that mansion. If you rent, even in LA, it's not that expensive. I mean, relatively speaking. But then you don't own it, and you need a source of cash to keep it up. Or like I said a group of friends to split it with.

Haha. Since he posted Dan Bilzerian's house, in Bel Air, I thought you were just replying with similar areas. I don't know what Malibu seems to be to someone from Canada. I used to run into Canadians all the time in Santa Monica though and they'd fucking piss me off. So I thought you were just ignorant to be honest.

Genuine luxury houses are expensive everywhere, as the interiors for a luxury house cost a lot.

But you can get McMansions cheap in South Dakota.

Bulgaria from about $100K, more by the sea, Thailand from about $250K, Russia from about $600K.

Anything genuine anywhere is going to cost a few million and there isn't much difference in the price by country, only by locality. i.e. a mansion in Gulshan, Dhaka Bangladesh will cost you about $10 million; while in rural Utah you could get the same for about $3 million.

For the past decade and a half prices in Nairobi have been climbing, and at one time was a top 3 in ROI-at last the long awaited correction is underway and the S Dakota mcmansion would now go for 700k in Nairobi down from 950-1mn.
Smth like this Highgrove mansion, maybe 15% larger tops out our market at 1.5 mn$.
