Just like Obama, her raison d’être is nothing but “demographics”.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

They're only upset cause it's not far from the truth as to how daft she is & how daft her soycialist ideals are.
They want a world where they can control 'The Narrative', yet in a world rife with social media, even Useful Idiot owned social media, they have no control.

Censorship is by & of, control freaks.

Never interrupt your enemy when they are making a mistake.

The more fringe the left is, the better.

At this point, the entire left is doing more to help out the Republicans than they can imagine.

I was looking at her Twitter account a few days ago. She was actually trying to respond to most of the comments people were sending her way. One guy (one of us?) sent her a "Would bang" tweet and she replied, "Thank you!" I guess I should post it, but I don't feel like spending 30 minutes looking through her sprawling Twitter feed to try and find it.

She makes it all sound so simple... :

Trevor Noah, host of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” asked Democratic socialist congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez how she plans to pay for her agenda Thursday and she said tax the rich and slash military spending.

"This is an excellent, excellent question. I sat down with a Nobel Prize economist last week — I can’t believe I can say that, it’s really weird — But one of the things that we saw is, if people pay their fair share, if corporations and the ultra wealthy — for example, as Warren Buffett likes to say, if he pays as much as his secretary paid, 15 percent tax rate, if corporations paid — if we reverse the tax bill, raised our corporate tax rate to 28 percent … if we do those two things and also close some of those loopholes, that’s $2 trillion right there.
One of the wide estimates is that it’s going to take $3 trillion to $4 trillion to transition us to 100 percent renewable economy.
So we’ve got $2 trillion from folks paying their fair share, which they weren’t paying before the Trump tax bill. They weren’t paying that before the Trump tax bill. If we get people to pay their fair share, that’s $2 trillion in ten years. Now if we implement a carbon tax on top of that, so that we can transition and financially incentivize people away from fossil fuels, if we implement a carbon tax — that’s an additional amount, a large amount of revenue that we can have.
Then the last key, which is extremely extremely important is re-prioritization. Just last year we gave the military a $700 billion budget increase, which they didn’t even ask for. They’re, like, ‘we don’t want another fighter jet!’ They’re, like, ‘don’t give us another nuclear bomb,’ you know?” That is a decision that requires political and moral courage from both parts of the aisle."

When the interviewer is actually trying to make you look good... and you still sound like an idiot... then you are dangerously stupid.

The problem is that the vast majority of New Yorkers think the same way she does. It is a human trait.

We on the conservative end of the spectrum need to recognize that socialism does work exactly how most people want it to work. They smack people with stuff over the head and steal their money... then redistribute it to their own supporters. They don't give a fuck if it crashes and destroys an economy. They don't care if it only works 1 time. They want this because they are 100% motivated by ENVY.

All the rationalizations and bullshit are just to provide intellectual cover for the emotion that is actually driving this desire.

I love how they always bring up the "Warren Buffett's secretary's tax rate" line, as though she's some single mom making coffee and Xeroxes for $25k a year.

SURE! - if you don't want a policy of negotiating peace from a position of strength to work...like Trump does.

NOT if you go by the cannibalizing of parts for planes and lack of ammo, such reports in recent years news stories show she's an ignoramus - the military has definitely requested more funding, and the ranks have gone without raises for a few years. Trump changed that too.

PS I dated a woman who was a Democrat Socialist Alliance member once, like AOC. When she found out I wasn't a Marxist, she dropped me like I was dirt.

I don't consider myself a socialist, but I do think universal health care is a good idea, or at least preferable to whatever shitshow we have now. Reducing out $600 billion military budget? Makes sense to me. We got much bigger fish to fry than playing war games in the Middle East.

I don't like the medical shitshow either, but I think jumping to universal health care is jumping the gun.

What I'd like to know is why the hell medical insurance plays such a big role in determining prices of medical services. It's like there's no real prices anymore, even for the most basic of visits.

Look at homeowners' insurance or auto insurance -- if you need to make repairs or need maintenance, you can call the service provider (mechanic, plumber, etc) directly and get quotes without insurance getting involved. You have the insurance company reimburse you afterwards.

Why doesn't medical insurance operate in the same way?

Why don't the legions of "experts" -- physicians, pharmacists, professors, press, politicians, etc ever ask this basic question despite spending so much time on the health care debate?

I want to see the likes of her trying to install higher taxes and reduce the military budget just to see the outcome. I predict it would go swimmingly for her.

You’re right about the Middle East. I’d love to just pack up and leave for good.

And while we are at it, I’d like to reduce all foreign aid packages that get automatic annual renewal to $0. That money should go to help our United States citizens, starting with military veterans and the homeless. Each time we need to spend money on a foreign country, congress should have the answer to the question, “what is this for and how does this mutually benefit the recipients abroad and our country? The taxpayers need to know before they approve it.”

Our healthcare system couldn’t possibly handle universal care, we already have areas that need more qualified doctors and nurses. We don’t want a system like Canada. Their rich and elite come here cause they don’t want to stand in line and wait and see if the algorithm determines if they are worth the government’s medical investment. We have 10X the population of Canada currently in the USA, not officially counting the illegals that are sucking up time in no refusal county hospitals. Sounds good, won’t work!

I’m also in favor of a drastic cut in free federal aid for doing nothing. More jobs and opportunity for people do something if they want can be achieved over time but the welfare system is broken now. There is a fortune being made by big corporations that provide a place for these programs to drain into (what doesn’t go to illegal substances, that is). A very large portion of taxpayer dollars is pure theft, with a very small percentage actually making a positive difference. And if our country was debt-free, I wouldn’t be nearly as pissed about those columns on my pay stub. However, if you’re gonna take 25-40% from us, at least don’t tell me that “we” can’t find a way to reduce a $20T deficit.

I don’t want to see our military budget be anything less than it needs to be based on current valid initiatives, but at least we are now asking for others to pay their fair share for defense. Would really like our soldiers to be paid a higher salary for their service.

Now, these “crazy” ideas will never be realized, not until there’s no other choice at least, but what I can’t understand is, why do collective ideas sound so good to so many individuals? The fact the socialist, including this newest one, won’t even stop to visualize what the impact would be (or just look at Venezuela) is absolutely insane.
