Even if you implement alcohol and tight logistics, the worst part of online dating is the often failed first meeting/'drink date to nowhere' phenomenon.
You never know if they're just looking for attention and/or are serial 'first daters'. Most of the time these chicks disappear (especially if you didn't bang on the first meet).

Most people are still meeting in traditional ways (social circle, work, or on a drunken social outing). Internet dating is an awkward contrivance that is not suited to developing a substantive relationship (or even a MLTR) because the "first date" often requires a snap judgement to be made, and most girls have too much choice in the arena to wait for something to develop if they don't feel it right off the bat. Sometimes you'll meet a chick who is DTF - or a rare situation where you are just her exact physical type (and she's a few points below you in SMV) that she ends up chasing you.

For the most part, dates-to-nowhere are common, even if you have your logistics set.

It's the harsh reality. I've had a lot of success online, but the failed prospects often feel soul crushing (you can never accurately gauge where things went 'wrong'). This has led me to go increasingly more direct the last couple years (the zero date scenario). I also seem to do better with college age girls rather than the odd mid-late 20's demographic. The latter group often have a different value system and probably suspect I'm a player.

I'd rather her outright reject/block/ignore me during the 'messaging' phases than waste my time by meeting at some bar.

These women are at such an advantage from the onset, I'll continue to do whatever I can to swing the odds in my favor.

The results I've seen are the same across Bumble and Tinder. I used OkCupid because I can provide statistical evidence on how many matches will be dropped based on age because it has an advanced search. When i changed my Tinder age to 30 the girls under 25 go through the roof but not if my age in upper 30s.

I agree with you OkCupid is shit compared to what it was 7 years ago.

I ran an autoswiper in Jakarta for 18-27 when I was pushing the limits on how many matches could be racked up, I believe it was around 20,000 profiles before it ran out of targets. So depends on location, but Tinder is definitely king.

Why I hate online dating

I cant seem to get a single effing match on tinder and bumble, and I think I am above average attractive. The other night at a bar I was approached by multiple women and one looked at me and bit her lip from across the bar.. yet, in that same city online? literally 0 matches. I think they did change their algo to limit male matches, but damn...I need profile help

There is another big problem which everyone here seems to turn a blind eye to. Privacy and data protection.

Tinder’s privacy policy (from 2017) clearly states: “you should not expect that your personal information, chats, or other communications will always remain secure”. As a few minutes with a perfectly clear tutorial on GitHub called Tinder Scraper that can “collect information on users in order to draw insights that may serve the public.”

Tinder is owned by Match Group which in turn is owned by IAC. You have no idea who harvests, aggregates, sells and buys your data, which services it is linked to, what services you are targeted with and how extensive and by whom your personal profile of your desires, likes, dislikes, preferences, and secrets are held on you and by whom and what they can or will be used for (and don't forget that to authorise Tinder access you provided them with your phone number, Instagram and Facebook account too).

Ouch.

This is a huge point, you can't trust these type of companies- especially with facial recognition software.

If you can do well the traditional way, then I don't really see the point in sacrificing your privacy to bang mediocre girls from online.

Once a guy knows he can have relatively consistant success with quality women, I think he shouldn't worry about the failed prospects here and there anymore. The way we are can't please everybody. I find that the same behavior and similar conversations on a first date with two different women can sometimes yield pretty different outcomes.

So then after posting this thread, I met a pretty awesome girl off Bumble tonight.

Is she taller than you?

No, she's like 5'2.

While we're on the topic of height. Has anyone found that some women who are taller than you will admire you if you have the balls to chat them up?

I've dated a couple of women that were taller than me and I sensed that many guys were too intimidated to ask them out while they are actually open to it.

Hot, but also has a kid, and is 38. So for me that's two strikes right out of the gate.

My heart will go on...

This bitch is a almost 40 year old single mother.... what is she bringing to the table to start ruling guys out for their height? This chick would have to offer me money and anal from her teenage daughter in order for me to even consider letting her suck my dick.....

Lets be honest though. This wouldn't have been a thread is she was a 21 year old 9 with big ass titties. Woulda been like "ahh at least i tried"

If you're having even 40% dates-to-nowhere, your Game needs some work.

It goes without saying your logistics need to be on lockdown. As in 5-10 minute trip to your place or a hotel if at all possible.

As others have said, schedule 2 girls a night then if you get a girl who's a complete dud, next, and amuse yourself for an hour until the next one shows, or double-book at the same time.

Update, for any of you who care...

I ended up smashing the new chick off Bumble. And I mean SMASHING.

Just my type - short (like 5'1), dark hair, green eyes, big boobs without being fat, and certifiably insane (yes, I like the crazy ones). Totally into rough kinky sex, too. I could smash this chick 10 times a day and it wouldn't be enough. My neighbors probably hate me more than usual, and she managed to rip my sheets.

So, for all the time wasted on Bumble, it might actually have been worth it.

Rather than throw the baby out with the bath water why not do what I do?

Give zero fucks
Message these broads from the can
Setup low cost dates

I am averaging 2 or so blowjobs per week, usually in the parking lot, with minimal investment. These types of women are good for one thing. Sucking your dick.

I actually forgot an important step(thanks guy above who called this useless).
Be a shameless asshole(natural to me) via messaging and a slightly lesser of an asshole at the meetup(toss in some manners). This is what seals the deal. The broads think they have magically transformed you just by gracing you with their presence. Almost every woman that sucked my dick commented on how they brought out the good in me and was thoroughly surprised by the conversation and good time they had.

Most importantly don't be shy about initially pushing for an invite to her place. This is a real time and money saver. Offer to bring a surprise that she will love. Bitches love surprises. I don't drink wine but I keep a couple cases of assorted bottles on hand from trader Joe's along with the normal girly drink assortment of liquor and mixers. Keep your surprises organised and ready to go. I cannot count the number of times where I thought I was in for the night and I got that message that had me putting on clothes and heading out the door.
