I first visited Brazil in 2011 and had a couple more trips until Mid-2014. I know you haven't lived there for sometime, but the economy going to shit during the start of 2015 made women bitter & insecure about coming off as easy to westerners from more developed "first world" countries. I "redeemed myself" with some gals towards the end of my time by reinforcing the Taiwanese nationality because they were condescendingly snarky during my mention of "americano" perhaps months before. Difference was crazy.

I know you haven't been back to Brazil for some time but the sinking economy really changed perceptions of foreign men. What worked for gringos back in say 2011 was simply not effective in 2015-2016 when I actually lived there. Gotta trust me on this one.

As for being Asian in Brazil, my Chinese Brazilian buddy from Belo Horizonte agreed that it was better for us in the South whereas we weren't perceived as favorably in Sampa or Rio.

I think asians do prettying well in São Paulo.
Rio, not so much. Rio seems very divided as in there are these zona sul girls who are very posh, and snobbish, albeit good looking and dresses to impress. But their attitude really turns me off sometimes. On the other hand you have really easy going girls who might be around 6-7 range. I think cariocas just have this mentality that they are the center of the world, and all they care about is the beach (of course there are exceptions but it is not a business oriented city and people around the world flock there for vacations, whereas people from other parts of Brazil are much more humble.
Brazil as a whole is still easy compared to say Northern or Western Europe in that there are a lot of family oriented girls out there and still being woman.

Regarding Asians, I think they do best in the city I resided being Curitiba.

Next would likely be small towns in Santa Catarina/São Paulo/Rio Grande do Sul & another big city like Belo Horizonte or Goiânia.

As for Curitiba again, you see less Asian men dating outside of their race than say interior of Paraná. Paraná state has smaller cities like Marínga & Londrina actually known for lighter skin chicks dating Asian dudes; however, the Asian dudes in Curitiba whenever it happens date much higher quality gals outside of their race opposed to the aforementioned smaller towns.

I love Rio as a cohesive city & cultural experience. Regarding "everything revolving around beaches" and "center of the universe" however, there is a reason why Carioca women are like this. They will steer men and tourists towards areas that just involve nature based tourism or beaches because the women in those parts of Brazil tend to be FUGLY. It's meant to disguise the sheer laziness of improving their appearances & persuading people not to discover aspects of Brazilian society that are better than their own values.

Many ugly Carioca women will talk about how its okay for them to lust over guys like Ryan Gosseling or Channing Tatum from Magic Mike; when discussing a women's attractive features, the convo automatically switches to how men shouldn't be so shallow & to appreciate what's on the inside. Rio chicks can be insanely feminist that it makes me sick.

You are however right about Zona Sul residents. They pretty much suck. On their Facebook profiles, they'll say "from Leblon" or "from Ipanema" instead of "from Rio de Janeiro." Some crappy elite people there...not to mention both places kinda suck & are boring. Leblon essentially reminds me of Upper East Side in NYC except right next to a dirty beach instead of Central Park. Both places also have crappy underwhelming food too.

Overall I am surprised how well the asians do in Brazil, especially the south and southeast.
Yes there are nerdy types that just hang out around the Asian circles in liberdade (Asian town), however I was amazed by the number of asians dating outside their race in Brazil, much more than Spain for example, I hardly see an Asian guy with Spanish yet I often see Japanese Brazilians with stunning paulistanos that are dressed to the 9s. (Not your hippy girl)

I do think Japanese Brazilians and Peruvians have abit more willingness and adventure to date outside their race, compared to Chinese dudes in the states or Europe for example. Even a lot of American born Chinese dudes only date Asian girls. It's like they are close minded. I think also the way the Brazilian society views asians is quite favorable, compared to many European (especially southern) countries. I never see a Greek girl dating an Asian guy.

In terms of volume of asian guys dating good looking girls outside their race in Brazil I have seen the most in São Paulo (mainly due to the sheer amount of asians there I guess).

In terms of likeliness to date outside race compare to within race, Globally its: Brazil, Russia, and some south east Asia countries ( Thailand (a lot mix north asians and Thai). The least common and most likely to date within race are southeast Europe.

Japanese guys enjoy a very positive stereotype in Brazil. They're seen as hard working, wealthy and intelligent. Also there's a funny stereotype about them that they're either extremely serious or extremely lulzy - there's no middle ground. So when they have good game they generally do very well in here.

Only been here a half day......but, from what I've seen wandering around Copacabana beach and the neighborhood, I'm seeing lots of fine women here and none seemed snobby to me. Now, granted I do speak some Portuguese and did have an attractive, slim carioca on my arm and holding my hand.

As far as expensive....again, having only been here a half day, the food here is fresh, healthy, delicious and not expensive (at least not by my standards of living in a major US city). My carioca and I had a delicious dinner at Siguera Grill one block from Copacabana beach and I paid $27 and change. I got an amazingly fresh and delicious large mango/tangerine smoothie and two bottled waters for $5 and change from Big Bi while walking back from taking my girl to the Metro.

Speaking of this sweet carioca, isn't it great to come off of the final flight of a 20 hour journey (3 flights) and have some of that beautiful carioca sweetness and sensuality waiting for you, greet you with squeals of delight/hugs/kisses, guide you to the cab and tell you she's got the cab covered? BTW, cab fare from SDU to Copacabana with a few circle arounds due to wrong turns was 34 Reals....aka about $11.....NOT expensive.

We'll see how the next the next couple of days go while my #1 carioca is busy and leaving papi to discover Rio on his own.

I'll start my own thread detailing my adventures from this trip in this forum. Ready for slumber time.

I can attest that since my first trip to Brazil in 2004 with my family when i was only a 17 year old kid the obesity rate has gone thru the roof, but there are still lots and lots of hot young fit women, especially in the beachtowns and Rio.

Also its really easy to make friends with guys and start breaking into a social circle. Beyond women I just love the culture there, the parties, the warmth of the people. OP did not give Brazil a fair shake by expecting it to be something its not.

Brazil is not the hardest place but its not plug and play like southeast asia either.If you only have a week for carnival expect the possibility you may not get laid. If you can spend a few months there you will have many amazing passionate short term relationships that are much more fufilling then bangin skanks of Tinder in Bangkok. But one thing I guarantee you is if you live in rio for 6 months and learn some portuguese by the time you leave you will have like 5 "best friends" dudes that invite you to everything and lots and lots of girlfriends.

Even with my limited amount of time here so far (< 1 day), I can concur with what you say about the brasilieros here. They are a friendly bunch. Talking with one in the airport in Mexico City while waiting for our flight to Sao Paolo, I broke out my limited Portuguese and had a small conversation with him and he was very helpful and talking with me about Brasil and how much I was going to love Rio. The man sitting next to me on the flight from Sao Paolo to Rio was very friendly and spoke good English; but, he and his girlfriend were very impressed that I spoke Portuguese and was making the attempt to speak it. They both made so many good suggestions.

I am about to step out to go exchange some money, get a delicious suco/vitamina and find a gym for my month-long stay here in Copacabana.....and of course take a walk along the beach.

Nordeste, which really refers to mainly Bahia is easier for a few reasons.

The further up north you get, the easier.
Personally not a fan of Salvador in Bahia, but a lot of people love it.
Quality of girls up north is not improving though. Also more crime issues than in the south. South being below Rio.
PS: Bahia is 95% black, but the rest is not as much. More mixed race.

If you focus on gaming, you can EASILY have more than 1 lay per day there with random girls. Dont need to pipeline, dont need great looks, great logistic or even great game. Downsides of Northern cities:

Brazil is a continental country, with lots of different cultures / vibes / kinds of people depending on where you are or even when you visit. So it´s difficult to generalize about easiness/sluttiness, because Brazilian girls are not an homogeneous group.
