Facebook Ads for Idiots

Are you doing anything suspicious? Is your account suspended for this or breaking TOS?

Facebook is doing this randomly pretty often. They shoot out based on couple of thing, one of them is for sure if you are in a "weird" country, almost had a Turkish client but he could not get past that point when he should create the ads account.

Now they shot down one of my long clients, we tried to create a different account 3 times, still down. Verification team basically gave no answer and support said that only Verification team can respond to this. And take into account that for that guy I am running ads for good 7 months on a different product, different company and account.
Stupid shit, those motherfuckers in Bangladesh respond so slowly or just like retards.

That sucks. I haven't had that issue. Guess I'll keep using my VPN.

@redbeard Do you have a workaround for the temporary ban when you switch IP address either because of VPNs or just travelling around? Its very annoying to contact any Facebook employee 2-3 times just to get a response every time I get my adverts account suspended.

They have no customer support at all, which is very weird.

I'm working from a VPN right now, traveling around, and don't have issues.

Are you doing anything suspicious? Is your account suspended for this or breaking TOS?

Also when you create a page, do you try to build up a bit of following ('engagement ads') first and then send them straight to conversions ads assuming the targeting is right?

I definitely think so, with a small budget you can build up your follower count easily. Even if you do it just for the social proof it's worth it, you might even get some sales off it.

It's not necessary, but helps.

I read all the advertising rules very carefully and I noticed that I had 3 adverts account being suspended after running for a few days and what I noticed was that every time they were suspended it was because I have logged in with my VPN and basically the error message was something along the lines of security reasons or some BS like that. Eventually my account got up and running and I will start advertising in about a month when my schedule is lighter.

In any case, I think think Facebook is paranoid with their rules for advertising and it took me about a week of searching around the net on how to follow these rules properly, even the ones that Facebook does not mention explicitly such a logging in with a different IP address.

If someone wants help with their business I think I will be able to give answer for any situation or give some sort of strategy for most of e-commerce, lead gen., app install, local promotion in PM's. Especially I think that if you want an advice it would be better to be specific which sometimes is not really comfortable to do on public "dissident" forum.

This thread motivated me to create my first Facebook ad. Instead of expecting to make any money off the ad, I just wanted to get a feel for the entire system with my first ad.

Once some data gets collected from my pixel, I'm going to try the retargetting thing mentioned in the OP.
