Goal obsession

So I m in a position where out of sheer boredom I find myself having to reflect on the story so far.

About half a year ago I turned a new leaf on my approach to Life that coincided with my discovery of neo masculinity.
I became determinate and adamant in pursuing and achieving my goals and maintaining/improving my physical state.
In doing so I actually managed to progress in y current relationship as well.
From being a manginaed drifter I became a man with a mission.
Upgraded my gear to premium equipment and started getting cash in the bank.

My strategy involves a lit of fee style travelling and salesmanship so improvising is my main priority.

But I ve discovered that in situations where I am being unproductive for more than a day I get horribly frustrated and sour mooded to the point where even my libido drops.
I only thought about this today after 3 days of not making something palpable (to me) happen.

My question to you guys is if this is normal for people who treat life as a constant quest and/or have built their success on this kind of progression?

We move between light and shadow, mutually influencing and being influenced through shades of gray...

This is Napoleon Hill, from his book How to Think and Grow Rich. Your trait you are questioning is, in his opinion, mandatory for success. I'd say you're on the right track, but it's perfectly OK to have bouts of unproductivity/laziness and taking frustration out on yourself is the worst way to cope. Channel your frustration into a more productive outlet. Can't work? No problem, take a walk. Take a nap. Read a book. Call a friend. Life is not black and white to the point where you are failing if you are not doing what the most productive option is at the time. Take a break, and get back to it.

Love it! This is what it is all about!
Learn something new in your free time, do not watch TV or play video games.
However if your going to watch something, watch neo-masculine videos and movies. If your going to play games, play first person shooters to get the testosterone flowing and throw on some oldschool heavy metal or rap in the background.

If your going to lounge and do nothing, go lay out in the sun.
Get your vitamin D + tan.
Some scientists even theorize that the sun promotes anabolic/androgenic activity in the male body, moreso than vitamin D supplementation alone.

"Adore the plain"
Sometimes in life you will find that you are not moving up, but walking on a plain.
Believe that this is a necessary step towards climbing.

When you find yourself in those spots, adopt @ScrapperTL advices.
It will come to you, if you keep at it.

Yeah I be been working had in accepting and improvising on what is available and adapting to it.
At the very least I feel I'm on the right track

This is the difference between process and achievement based goals. On focusing on internal effort rather than external results.

It's good to set targets and milestones to keep you on track, but often it's difficult to realistically we can achieve within a given timeframe. Stuff pops up or you may just massively overestimate or underestimate a goal.

Create more effort-based goals. Dedicate a certain amount of hours each day towards a task and take pride in that, regardless of whether it resulted in a tangible achievement in your mind or not.

Secondly, practice gratitude daily. Write down at least one thing to be grateful for every day. Being happy is a skill, and by practising this skill you'll also be able to see the positive in every day's efforts far more easily.
