I have a reddish beard to.. I shave my head but I had brown hair. I love the red beard... I look like a mother fucking viking. I'm here to rape, plunder and pillage.
We had our own little RooshV meet up here in BKK and I went out dressed fairly nice with a blazer and button up and I got a lot of love for my beard at the club. I still struggle to eat without getting food all in it.... other then that I <3 my beard.

I have a short beard and generally keep it that way but in it I have brown, red and blonde hairs. It drives 'em wild because I have olive skin,(people think I'm hispanic all the time), multi colored beard and hazel eyes.

I have very, very fine hair, stick straight. When I grow a beard it comes out like a China-man beard, wispy and thin. I've grown it out a few times when I was doing some serious backpacking out west in the states and traveling for months in western China, but it looks like shit.
Very envious of men who can grow rocking beards.
Also I'm bald, so I buzz my head every 3-4 days and shave every day. I look 10 years younger that way. I have a very youthful face but my facial hair and lack of hair on top are terrible. You win some, you lose some.

Roosh's beard looked pretty damn good at the press conference. No homo.
My beard is coming along nicely, must be a three month beard by now. Gonna try to get the yeard (year beard). Off to the barber today for a haircut and a cutthroat shave to outline it better. I realise I've been doing the outline too low on my cheeks. which works great for some guys but doesn't suit my overall look. So the hair there is a bit behind the rest of it.
@robreke- funny you should say that, I tried coconut oil the other day and it worked great. God bless RVF, where would we be without it?

I'm here today to tell everybody on this forum to grow out a beard if possible. I've had a beard for a good 2 years now, but recently I've decided to grow it out to great lengths. I bought beard oil last week, it helps. Last night I went out with a custom suit and a huge beard on my face. I've never gotten approached by so many girls in 1 night (had my first Brazilian girl, which was nice). She commented on both my beard and suit. A full beard makes me look much better because I have a pretty small jawline. My beard hides my small chin and makes it unnoticeable. My beard definitely boosts my attractiveness a good 1-2 points. I only shave my upper cheeks and my neckline just below my adams apple. Grow a beard.

Alright, I've been eying growing a beard for a while but now, after reading this thread and especially that post by travolta, I'm in. Going to let it grow.
Question:
For a first timer, who also shaves his head, not sure whether I should grow a smaller one first to see how it would look on me or whether to go Roosh style from the get go? Any tips guys?

I love my beard but I have to say that I am jealous of Cr33pin's beard after meeting him in Bangkok. I am not in that league.
- Ladies like to kiss a guy with a beard, especially in South America girls gave me a lot of compliments. Some said they never kissed a guy with a beard. Guess its not so common for the local guys to grow beard there. Also my girl here in Thailand says that her friends keep asking her how it feels to kiss me haha.
- I never used to be able to grow a heavy beard, just a goatee. On the sides it was just very thin. It used to be that way until my mid 30s when my beard growth just exploded. Maybe it had to do with age but at the same time I started eating Zinc and Vitamin D supplements. Could be related to that but have no data to back it up.
- I used to trim my beard with scissors, but one barber here in Bangkok trimmed it with an electric cutter and the results were amazing. I decided to get me one.

After my beard went past my collarbone, I get women who will come up to me just to touch my beard. Take good care of your beard and it will open for you.

Would a daily intake of multivitamin + fish oil help with my 20-year-old patchy beard? I've been growing for about a month now. I'm held down by my family's genetics, and of course my age.

Vitamin C, biotin, and niacin help your hair grow and make it stronger. They are all water-soluble. Your body won't store these vitamins very much, so you need to regularly consume them. Supplementation can help but the foods that have these vitamins are part of a good diet.
Broccoli, brussels sprouts, avocados, and various fruits are good for vitamin C. Avocados are also a good source of vitamin E which is good for your skin.
Peanuts, almonds, eggs, and salmon are good sources of biotin.
Eat poultry or fatty fish like salmon and tuna for your niacin.

for the guys will full, long beard, do you ever trim the part under your neck? It seems that my neckbeard is growing longer than my face. It's beginning to irritate the fuck out of my skin.

Yes, get a beard trimmer and use a shorter guard to trim your neck than you use on your face beard.
Also, shave your neck clean up to right above the adam's apple, you don't want the beard growing too far down your neck.
Simple.

I love being big and bearded in Asia... 6 different groups of random Asians came up and asked me if they could take pics with me today.
With great beard comes great responsibility.

Sadly I can only grow a mean Van Dyke, and since that is the go to facial adornment of choice for every overweight sex offender in the West, I have to forgo any kind of beard.

I want to know about this too. Can anyone recommend a good electric razor for the slightly longer beard, say half inch in length? Most seem to aim for the stubble effect.

The beard game might be getting close to reaching critical mass. Once it tips it's a rapid downhill spiral.
I get about half as much random beard and fade love as I did two years ago when it was seen as cutting edge trendy.
Remeber how poorly Roosh was recieved back in the day with his full beard in the 2000's .
I imagine it will grow to be a neutral and then fade out over the next 5 years.

Don't grow the same beard as everyone else does and you don't have to give a fuck about following the trend. You don't need to have that same fade into the beard everyone else has. You don't have to control the length of it. Grow it out like a caveman and your beard will stand out even in a sea of beards. Still groom (i.e. brush, comb, oil, etc.) it so it doesn't look like a wild mess if you go that route. Grow your beard out because you enjoy having a beard and your beard will project confidence, strength, and masculinity for you.

I almost always use mutton chops, they grow into a curious looking beard.
But Im quite satisfied with it,and so have been my bed partners.

Anybody else's beard changes colors depending on lighting or humidity/heat? The part of the beard closest to my lips and chin tends to be brown, red, or blonde dependent.
This might just be natural dying from the sunlight. Happened to me when I was much younger, my whole fringe went blonde, and I have really dark brown hair, so I looked a little emo-ish (fortunately, I was only like 8 so no-one gave a shit)
Especially if its around your mouth, any fluids, especially saliva (even tiny amounts) can speed up the effect on the hair.
