I'll be spending a week in HK starting dec 30 th before heading to kho phi phi and despite i've only been
there once for about 12 hours but one don't need to be a genius to realize that its a super expensive city specially when it comes to accommodation which is my main concern now as logistics are vital but there is no way to get a decent hotel room in action areas ( LKF / Wan chai or even The Kowloon side) less than 250 $ / night when i'm not willing to spend more than 100 $
So i decided to use airbnb but it seems that its not much better as rates start from 150 $ or so even thought i heard many guys saying that they had rented for 100 $ in middle of action but it just doesn't seem to be the case anymore probably its a high season too
My primary target is to rent a one room apartment in LKF or WAN CHAI even thought its a red district anyway
So any tips from the experienced HK guys here regarding accommodation in general or trusty airbnb hosts in particular + Decent places to spend the NYE is much appreciated .
