A few days ago I got an anonymous letter in my postbox, it contained a sleazy microwave pizza.
Nice attempt group 2.

Pretty good.

Of course group 1 had a pizza party. It's that day of the month at planet fitness. That's where they all work out.

kbell bought us all solid gold fitbits. They're kind of clunky, but calculate calories burnt during the day more accurately. Since then we've been having pizza parties every night.
How are the two related?

Do some of you guys track your strength stats during your cutting phase? It would be really interesting for me to see how much strength you lose when on a diet. This is the only thing that keeps me from dieting so far. I am afraid to lose too much strength in the compound lifts.

I keep on increasing my strength by lifting with the same intensity as I would if I were bulking so yea I do track them.
ie. Leg pres: 160kgs*8,8,8 and then next workout i'll push for Leg Press: 162.5kgs*8,4,3 and ill keep pushing in my following workouts until I nail 8 reps on all three sets.
Anyways you shouldn't really worry about losing strength while cutting if you keep lifting heavy. All that crap some people spew about lifting lighter while cutting is irrelevant. Simply keeping lifting as you would if you were bulking, just be sure that you reduce the volume a bit as your ability to recover while cutting will be hampered due to your caloric deficit.

Group 2 just finished it's 90 days. Everyone had some form of success whether that was losing a few belt sizes or losing up to 18 lbs. Not everyone continued the cut the entire time but most did. Overall a lot of success in our group. This was a great idea from RioNomad that directly contributed to a lot of members.

I started the challenge at 260 lbs, and finished at 260 lbs. However I dropped a full 1 1/2 inches off of my waist and gained strength.
