As a European man, I have been rather unsuccessful in Medellin (in chasing pretty local tail, of course), and so I came to think that being a (White) man from Europe, brings you less (less "WGF", less wow-factor) than being from the USA, in Colombia.

And I guess, it is because the spoiled chicks from Medellin, know that an American lives (relatively speaking) nearby, and can, and will, be back, easily, in Medellin. Contrarily, a European will probably not come back, given the time of travel and costs involved (from Europe).

Also, European culture is, generally speaking, more subtle and refined than US culture (let's be honest here, and no disrespect) - so the Colombian women know (instinctively) that a US dude will actually enjoy Medellin (full of US culture) and come back every year via any low-cost airline - whereas a European player probably will "pump and dump" her, never to come back again... I am not saying it is the truth, but I feel it is the way they think about US men VS European men... they prefer US men, no doubt about it.

Same could be said for the Philippines I think (disclaimer : even though I did quite very well in the Phils )... Example: take 2 identical-looking blonde male gringos, one from the US, the other from Europe :

Filipina chicks will prefer the US gringo, because the US West coast is closer by plane, and more than anything, US culture is their everyday life and dream... and they assume they would fit better in the US than in Europe (if their dreams were to be realized by marrying the lonesome gringo)... Also, maybe they guess or perceive that a typical European feels... not-so-well in their country, whereas an American man, used to mall culture and fast-foods, will feel quite well, thus becoming marriage-material...?

That is why my European friends and I felt (a bit) less 'empowered', sought-after and very-much-welcomed, than US men in Colombia and the Phils, I guess...

So, any European player has to take into account that, in Colombia or the Phils, he will suffer more from "cultural shock" than some US dude, and be a little bit less sought-after by girls... In the Phils: it doesn't matter that much, because Europeans will still do very good for them (with medium to good game), but in Colombia (Medellin), Europeans will have to work very hard to get quality women (we will rank after the wealthy locals and numerous young US travelers in their blasé eyes).

The most successful (quality + quantity) guy I have met in Colombia is European. He is a forum member with only a couple rep points and very few posts; he does speak nearly fluent Spanish though.

I've talked to girls for 30-60 minutes without my nationality being mentioned and when I tell them to guess they sometimes guess I'm from Europe.

I've hooked up with girls who have dated Germans, Israelis, French, Spanish, Italian, etc.

I don't think it matters at all. If you think so, just lie about your nationality and try it out.

But anyway, regarding Colombia... Medellin... I think it is over-hyped here... first of all, women are NOT hyper duper beautiful in Medellin : it is not EE! not even Argentina! Secondly, there is lots of money and wealths in this city, so your typical medium-income Western tourist means shit to most of local (7+) chicks...

Anyway, I just made this thread so that European and-or American players compute this data before choosing where to travel : to sum it up:

In the Phils and Colombia, Americans get an extra value and can more or less stand the local "culture" Coca, basket-ball, malls...

In EE and Argentina, Europeans get the extra value, and are tuned in with the local, subtle, old-time culture. Old cobbled streets and wine to be drank...

Just something to be aware of before deciding where to go...

But not for me! Even though I am European, I secretly like the easy, uncomplicated Filipina 6s, and would love to bang tons of not-very-sophisticated Colombian 6s too Well in any case, I succeeded in doing just that in the Phils, but Colombia... no such luck! What did I do wrong in Medellin, apart from being European, I wonder?... Online game was very unproductive in Medellin, let me tell you! Women have too many options there...

Colombia for me is THE mystery of this forum. All other advices I read on this forum were true, to-the-point, confirmed by my real-life travels... But Colombia, no!

I mean I read good, mouth-watering stuff on this forum about the Phils, Thailand, Mexico, Poland and the such, and yes, I went there and got results! But in Medellin, nothing to brag about... so either I struck bad-luck, or Colombia is burnt, spoiled?

Some people just fit in naturally in Medellin. For others there is a learning curve and it can take a while to figure it out.

I recently had a friend visiting me here from the US and he kept commenting on how there were so many ugly/old/fat men with girls 1-3 points higher than them; these were Colombian couples and not prepagos. These mismatched couples were everywhere. One of the hottest girls I've seen here was at a local's club with a guy at least 4 points below her. In my opinion the competition is average at best.

I'm late 30's, don't work out, and average height. My dancing skills are weak. However, I do speak Spanish. Last night I banged a 19 year old 7. I just broke up with a 26 year old 8. Tomorrow night I have a second date with a 30 year old 8 (my friend thought she was a 9). There are about 10 other 7+ girls from cupid I'm trying to squeeze into the next 2 weeks, some of which I will probably miss out on due to time constraints.

I think Medellin gets a bad rap just because it's not as easy as it used to be and not as easy as the other Colombian cities. If you present yourself as different from the typical sex tourist or backpacker, you should have decent luck.

A while back there were strange posters from Argentina who had supposedly been to Medellin, had never met anyone on the forum and whose only contribution was to talk shit about Colombians.

It's a strange post because the OP doesn't even write like a native Spanish speaker.
