Interpals can be good or even great. Just make sure to combine it in a convenient way. I use it to talk to latinas as there are few in here where I life, but I do so in Spanish, because I also want to improve my Spanish and you know sometimes they can actually give you good information if let's say you plan to anyways travel to Mexico (or wherever you want). Not only are you improving your language skill, but you get to know some infos without searching all over the web and you can get a few dates and get a notch if you do everything alright.

And hey, even if you don't get a notch, at least you get to improve yourself and that's something you should never forget, it is never only about the chick but it is about YOU.

I have used this website to actually improve some language skills. You just can't lose if you use it for its real purpose. The bonus can be a meeting but i wouldn't count too much on that.

Interpals..sounds like a type of site one would use in 90s or early 00s

There is something romantic about it, time when 1 min phone talk was $5 and westerners were respected like gentlemen, no smartphones or apps

Filtering women who are interested in romance on there I usually don't see any good profiles at all, or any attractive women have been members for X+ years and would have been bombarded more times than I care to add another to the count. Terrible selection in the places I've looked.

It looks like a good place for women from conservative cultures like the Arab countries or south Asia. More profiles with pictures than pure dating sites, which often have pictures of roses and kittens as profile pictures in those countries.

Good for older guys.

Most of them will say they are not interested in romance or to flirt with a guy or whatever and suddenly while 'improving your language skills' a bit, they confess their feelings for you. Had this multiple times happen to me. And some profiles are actually really good, but depends also on your taste.

Since there are so many losers there, it is sooooo easy to stand out there.
