I ate at Peter Luger's 2 weeks ago. It was extremely overrated. The meat at Fago de Chao was much better. But know I feel I'm going thru a Steak House phase.
What are some of your favorite Steak Houses?

Fago de Chao is amazingly good, at least the one in DC.
If you want a steak the size of a shoebox there's always Mortons. As a chef I'll give a thumbs up to their sauce au poix on a fat ass NY strip

I had my Bachelor party dinner at Peter Luger's 12 years ago - first and last time i ever went. Decent quality meat but it seemed to me that their restaurant served their sauce on their meat, as opposed to their meat that was sauced. You can now buy their sauce by the bottle in any Stop & Shop.
Morton's is probably the best chain steakhouse in downstate New York. The older steakhouses like Smith and Wollensky, or O'Neil's, or Luger's - I think these places survive merely by virtue of their repulation and longevity. Outrageously overpriced.
If you have a gourmet butcher shop - and access to a Weber grill with 3 burners in it - you can make a steak at home better than Luger's or O'Neil's and get within 90% of a Morton's steak for about 25% of the cost. Fresh ground pepper, sea salt, and olive oil are all you need on a New York Strip.

G,
Just put your grill technique to work, steak came out great. Gonna shorten the cook time up a bit to get it a bit more bloody how I like it, flavor was on point though.

Jack's Place Restaurant by far beats everyone else. Best steakhouse choice in Orlando. I highly recommend it to anyone in the Orlando area.

I am not a fan of Chain anything, but Outback?
That place is typically considered bottom of the barrel.
Mortons and Ruth's Chris are notches above.

"Good chains: Joe's Stone Crab, Mastro's, Cut (Las Vegas, Beverly Hills.)"
I don't really consider those "chains".
Joe's is has an original (Miami Beach) and a few they leased out to other owners. I believe they get their stone crabs from the same place.
But you are right, all three are dope.
And they occupy a different place in the universe than Outback.
